Absolutely AWFUL! I made a reservation to rent a truck 2 weeks in advance. I drove 1.5 hours to get to the rental location. When I got there, I was told by the old guy behind the desk that there were no trucks available. No trucks? Why did no one from this location or corporate call me to let me know? The guy told me, I dont know. Budget didnt give me a truck for you. I dont know what to tell you. There was no empathy whatsoever. The guy kept repeating, Budget runs me. I dont run budget. Never once did he apologize or offer any sort of alternative means to get a truck. In his mind, Budget screwed me, not him. I couldnt stress to you enough to STAY AWAY from this location and their rude owner.

Very nice experience with the Rental agent and the truck was Perfect and in great Condition for what we needed it for.

When I arrived there were others in front of me. They were very busy. I waited about 15 minutes. They were very nice and diligent. Had all their ducks in a row. The paperwork done quickly and accurately. My truck was pulled right around and we were off!

DO NOT RENT A TRUCK THROUGH THIS COMPANY! I made a reservation for a truck 2 weeks before it was needed in anticipation of moving across the state. The DAY BEFORE I was supposed to pick up the truck the company called me and stated they could not get a truck for us. Keep in mind this reservation was made 2 weeks prior, and the company did not have the decency to let me know until the day before I needed the truck. The customer service department is all located in MEXICO CITY and can not communicate English properly at all!! My one piece of advice is to avoid this company at all cost, UHaul and other companies may be slightly more expensive but I can promise you they will be easier and more friendly to work with.

Do not rent through this company!!! My husband and I made a reservation over a month before our move date. When my husband drove all the way down to Lenoir (we lived in Boone) to pick up the truck, he was told that they didnt have our truck. The guy said Oh, someone should have called you. No one ever called us. This is the worst customer service we have ever received. Moving alone is stressful enough, so finding out the day of that the company doesnt have your truck is the worst. We had to scramble to find another truck elsewhere. Our moving plans and our day were ruined. Save yourself some worry and stress and rent through a different company.

Dont look for any budget rental signs from the road. You wont find any. The budget rental shop is a mechanics shop without any indication of a Budget anything. Drove around for an extra 40 minutes before we asked someone at the hotel next door. Apparently were not the only people with this frustration. Get your act together.

Nasty people to deal with bad manners an just rude!!!! Save yourself some time and a lot of effort go to the Hickory Budget Truck Rental on Hwy 321 or hwy70 lot nicer people and a pleasant experiences

Extremely difficult process to rent a truck through them. Would go through penski or uhual before having to spend the money or aggravation with budget. Plus the women on site was rude.
