26 years ago we purchased our first wedding ring set from Garon. I still had the receipt! Today we went back for an upgrade. I wouldn’t have gone anywhere else. Garon and Evie took good care of us. Just yesterday I visited Garon’s Jewelry and Design and purchased a gift for our 55th anniversary. I had never been there before but visited it based on the positive evaluations from previous buyers. I was blown out of the water by the friendliness of the owner and his daughter who helps her father. Both are very caring and personable. I will visit again when the need arrises. I took my vintage Elgin wrist watch in for servicing. The young lady behind the counter was nice and tried to be helpful. I told her that I wanted the watch serviced and specifically that I wanted it disassembled, cleaned, inspected, repaired if needed, reassembled, and oiled (these were the words I used) The watch has a stem that when pulled out to set the time pops back in (this is due to a broken lever inside)She took the watch back to the watchmaker and after a brief conversation came back and said that the watch maker didnt feel that a servicing was needed, the watch seems to be running fine. She offered me a new band, clean and polish the outside and a light cleaning of the movement, polish the crystal for the price of the band. I agreed to this just to test the level of work they put into it. ( I have other watches that need attention and I was looking to establish a working relationship with a local watchmaker) I also mentioned that I wanted the crystal replaced if possible and a new gasket, (the old one was crumbling). When I picked it up, it was looking good, the crystal was not changed, but they did buff out most of the scratches, the watchmaker wanted to explain why he put forth a minimum of effort. He tried to explain that the work I wanted would be costly and take time. I told him that I was willing to pay and wait for it. As it is, they sold me a band made in china for 30 bucks that I good get online for 8, and all the work that was done wasnt anything that I couldnt do myself.The watch ran well for 2 weeks then stopped due to debris from the old gasket. It is now being fully serviced and repaired in King NC by someone willing to do the work that I asked for. The work will cost $125.00 plus 8 for the new time set lever.I do not understand a watchmaker not willing to do work that is a matter of routine and specifically requested by a customer.I am saddened that I had to drive halve way across the state to find one willing to work with me.

Unfortunately I found another spot on my rope likely before it came completely apart and I could have lost it.Im not rough with it and usually take it off when I sleep.You did a great job last time and was very fair with price.I guess I will have to bring it back for another repair.Since it is already messed up in that spot I might see.if I can shorten it to 24 inches to see.if that would help with it getting caught on stuff.Thanks and I will stop in and discuss options very soon.

Some of the best people to buy jewelry from, have it cleaned and fixed. Great customer service. Also they are always having specials and sales! Love this place! I’ve never went in there and be treated poorly they are always willing to help! Not to mention they made my wife a custom nose ring and fixed her wedding band wrap. Extremely helpful and very fair. Took a ring that was previously purchased from Garons (with appraisal papers also from Garons) and was just looking for a fair trade. Ended up with the diamond earrings I have been wanting. The staff was so friendly and helpful. I will shop here before I go anywhere else for quality jewelry!

Garon’s has resized two sets of rings and I bought a replacement necklace for my son’s cremation necklace for his Paw Paw’s ashes. The staff is always great including Garon. Highly recommended!

New to the area My boyfriend proposed to meOn January 16th 2021.But of course got the wrong size Lol Whet into Garons jewellers.I believe he saw the look on my face. Just had a battery replaced in my Citizen watch. The watch was not set when I picked it up. They said they did not know how to set the watch.They wanted to have me watch a video with instructions on the internet. Mind you, they have 40 plus Citizen watches in their display case. This is their major watch brand. I can only assume that if you are stupid enough to purchase a watch from them, they will direct you to watch a video on the Internet to set your new watch. Either that or the displayed time will only be correct two times a day. Dont insult me by telling me you cant set my Citizen watch. Just tell me you are too DAMN LAZY to do so. Stay away from these Nimrods.
