I took in a very old machine to see if it could be cleaned/fixed. Cris took time to explain that, unless this was an heirloom that I was trying to restore, my money would be better spent towards a newer machine rather than one thats 80 years old. I appreciated her candor and her willingness to educate me. It cost me nothing. I appreciate that she took the time and saved me the 85.00 cleaning fee. Will go back for future needs.

Never answered my email about products in their store and sale info. Ive upgraded my review. After this was seen they found my email, answered my questions and offered personal assistance when I do get to the store.

Marsha was very helpful and demonstrated a machine that I was interested in but was uncertain about operating since it was definitely an upgrade to the machine I have been using. I am pleased with my experience and purchase.

They tuned my sewing machine but lost the spool holder. My machine is a 45 years old machine and had the original parts. Make sure to remove attachments you want to keep before submitting your machine for repair.

We purchased a serger used in the area, and needed it assessed and repaired. They had our machine for a very long time, would not communicate with us. We had to initiate all follow up, for intake, parts, and when it was done. They never called us at any part of the process. I would not recommend.

Every time we have been here, we have been greeted warmly. They have wonderful machines. We went to another sewing machine store and there were rude and talked down to my daughter...way to keep the youth interested in sewing. This staff has been helpful and offered advice on projects we are working on.

Employees were very surly. I dropped off my machine for a tune up. I was called the following day. They indicated the timing belt on my machine was worn and broken. The estimated cost of repair was over $300 and would take a couple weeks because it is such a time-consuming repair. I informed them I would just pick up my machine, because I couldnt justify the cost for the repair.Before I discarded my machine, I thought I would just get a second opinion. I took my machine to another repair center a couple miles east of Missouri Sewing Machine Co. I told them I believe my timing belt was broken. They told me they would repair it for $139; and, apologized since it was almost closing time, they couldnt do the repair until the following morning. They phoned me at noon the following day to say the repair was done. My machine is running so smoothly...just like brand new! (Singer Touch N Sew purchased in 1969)I will NEVER take my business to Missouri Sewing Machine Co. again. Please do your research.

This store mostly feature Janome machines and it has a wide variety. The staff is friendly and helpful. Ive had two separate issues with my 1986 Singer machine. They repaired both issues within the estimated costs and on time.

These people, Downtown and Lenexa stores, are terrific. They know their products, support their customers both in product education and with skills enhancement. Whether its quilting, machine embroidery, garment creation, they are knowledgeable friendly, and encouraging all without being patronizing. I have recommend ed them often. If you are buying a machine, I suggest you visit them.

The associates were extremely helpful, and helped me find the perfect machine for my mom. They were not pushy and did not try to up sell me.

I was coming there to give you my business but before I travel the entire way wanted to make sure you had what I needed. This did not occur and you lost the sale from me due to the fact you would not answer your phone and told me to call back later even though it was during business hours when I called to ask. Thanks.

Went in said my Janome was not sewing good they ask if I was out of town I said yes live 60 miles away they got it in called in about a hour said it was done. So glad thank you all very nice people.
