We took our car into the dealership and they gave us a list of things that they claimed needed to be done that added up to just over $1,000. We called Ron’s and brought it on in and they told us what ACTUALLY needed to be done vs. what could wait, and it saved us a TON of money. PLUS they caught a problem that the dealership never even addressed to keep our family safe while driving!!! 5/5 recommend and will be coming here for all future repairs!!!

I have had two wonderful experiences with this auto shop. Once I needed a new converter put in and my spouse was deployed and they got it to a place that took care of it for me and didnt try to get more money out of me because I was on my own and not sure if what everything was. Not only that they helped me get it home. Another time I broke down on the side of the road and had it towed there because I trust these guys and they replaced the alternator. They worked quickly and professionally and most importantly theyre trustworthy and that makes all the difference.

If I could give him negative stars I would. Absolutely THEE worst mechanic I’ve ever been to. I’ve gone to him multiple times about the SAME problem & he charged me EVERYTIME I went & yet NEVER FIXED THE PROBLEM. He stood me up TWICE & NEVER returned my phone calls. I’ve tried to go to other mechanics but they all suggested I go to the person who originally worked on the issue to save money. I’ve spent hundreds of dollars coming to him & never got my problem resolved & now I’m stuck going to someone else & starting from square one.

I took my car in for an oil change and to replace the ac actuator. Tony was fair, honest, and fast with his service. About an hour after Id left, the ac started doing the annoying clicking sound again when I turned on the recirculation button. I called Tony up and he was able to replace the defective actuator at my convenience and everything has been great! I really appreciated the fact that there was a satellite tv in the office, it helped tremendously in keeping my little one from getting stir crazy while we waited. Ill definitely be bringing my vehicle here from now on. Thank you so much, Tony!

Engine light came on. Called the shop and talked to Tony. He told me just bring it in and he will take a look at it. He even told me best way to find a new part and barely charged me to install it. I recently acquired the car and it also had bad windshield wipers, and he put new ones on and didnt charge me for them. What a guy!

These guys are great! I was terrified to take my car to be looked at. I took it here for the first time. Ive had plenty of bad experiences in the area or at most mechanics Ive ever gone to. I will bring my car here from now on. They made me feel comfortable. I didnt feel pressured into paying an arm and a leg for unnecessary repairs. I was given several options. Thanks guys

They were fair, they were honest but they couldnt figure out my issue despite me telling them I thought it might be the aftermarket universal fit o2 sensors. They did fuel treatments, and a number of other things and never fixed the issue. They were fair on price though. I went home, took the plunge and bought 4 new factory o2 sensors and problem solved. Should have done that to start. It was better when Ron was still running it.

I called yesterday to get an appointment. The guy told me to show up at 0800 because thats what time they open. The guy didnt show up until 0835 hours and by that time I had already called another shop. I talked to the other businesses near this shop and they indicated this is common. When the guy finally showed up he didnt care so I doubt he cares about your car or fixing it right. This is a new owner so the high reviews most likely are due to the previous owner

Taking my car to this mechanic was by far my worst experience with getting automotive work done. I had a Honda Civic that was overheating in stop-and-go traffic. It was losing coolant but couldnt find it in the recommended places to look (leaking, foamy oil cap, white smoke out of the tailpipe). I did my research online and many people suggested that it would be a blown head gasket. I took the car to Tony at Rons Auto and told him all of this including the possibility that it might be the head gasket. He had me leave the car and told me he would call me to let me know the issue. It took more than a week and after trying to contact him 5 or 6 times by phone, I drove out the shop to see him in person. He told me that he did a block check on the engine and that it was not the head gasket. This was a huge relief for me. He told me that he checked the pressure and that the cap on the radiator was loose and that he had to hold it down during testing. I thought that this was odd because I had previously refilled my radiator several times with no issues. But due to my relief that he had determined there was no blown head gasket I believed him and agreed to get the radiator replaced. This process took almost another week and when I got the car back the ENTIRE interior of my car was covered in dirt from his lot since one of my windows was left open for what must have been a very long period of time. He told me that he replaced the radiator and test drove the car without any sign of overheating. I paid him and left with the car. By the time I returned home on the base in Lemoore, the car immediately started to overheat at the gate. I pulled into my parking space and popped the hood only to find that the reservoir was full to capacity and coolant was coming from the bottom hose on the radiator. Upon further inspection I found that my reservoir was not even fastened to the radiator anymore and was dangling in between the radiator and battery. The bottom flaps that connect to my front bumper under the engine were also just left hanging. Since it was after hours at Rons, I had to call him the next day. Tony was surprised and said bring it back and hell look at it again. I brought it back the next day and left it with him again. This time it took almost 3 weeks to get the car back which was more concerning than inconvenient since my wife had flown home for a vacation and I had the family car to drive. When I picked up the car from him all those weeks later he said that he had fixed the leaky hose at the bottom of the radiator and that it once again did not overheat when he took it for a test drive. No sooner than I return home (17 minute drive) did the car start to overheat AGAIN! At this point I was angry since I had been told more than once that the car doesnt overheat when it obviously is. I decided to take the car to a Honda service center for a diagnostic. I explained all of the same concerns that I had about the vehicle as I had explained to Tony at Rons Auto. The mechanic said that it did sound like a head gasket issue. I dropped the vehicle off overnight and got the results the next day. It was certainly a full blown head gasket and it was not a recent occurrence. It was very obvious to the service center that exhaust was getting into the coolant. Could it be a mistake? Given all of the other factors (unreturned phone calls, filthy car, telling me my car does not overheat when it does) I dont think this was a mistake. I believe that no block test was done on the car and that he went with the simpler solution of just diagnosing a major part replacement. An unnecessary replacement that cost me over $300. It makes me even more angry when I think to how I had given him info ahead of time to point him in the direction of a blown head gasket and he completely missed or disregarded it! I feel completely taken advantage of and not only was I made to wait unusually long service time (more than a month for a radiator?) but I will have to spend the $1000+ that I was hoping to avoid in the first place. BEWARE!

Ive taken my 01 Jeep, and now my 72 Chevy C20 flatbed to Tony the owner of Rons Auto in Lemoore for repairs. I cant say enough about his honesty, integrity, or mechanical skills.Every time, all necessary repairs are done professionally, quickly, affordably.Outside of my first mechanic Lloyd Chrisman, the man who built some of the first top fuel dragsters, Tonys the best.
