We love Oak Haven so much!! We have been here just over a year and we have no complaints. My daughter loves horses so much but she had a fall a while back and went through a period of being afraid to get back on. Leslee and her whole team (teachers and other students) were so supportive and patient with her. She is now back to living every second and doesn’t hesitate to get on. I love that she is doing something that brings her so much joy but she is learning so many great life lessons at the same time!!

We loved every second here! Leslee and her team are dedicated to their students and teach every aspect of riding from tacking, to proper form, to competing, to caring for the horses, to accountability and ethics. Leslee was always willing to share her knowledge no matter the day or time. Above and beyond. Friendly and caring.

My daughter and I love this place. All the trainers have worked so well at helping her develop new skills and foster her love for horses. I would recommend it to anyone. The instructors and the horses are absolutely amazing here! I have been riding with Oak Haven for the past 3 years. Everyone is always so caring and helpful! If you or someone you know wants to start riding this is the place to be!

Best place ever! I have had such a great experience with them. I am doing extra chores just to stay there. The horses are great and very well trained, as you get to know them they will grow on you and you will love them as much as me. Leslee is the best trainer ever! Excellent experience! I have worked with Oak Haven Performance Horses twice over the years. About 6 years ago, my husband and I did riding lessons in their adult program. It was so fun! We both enjoyed the time with the horses and exceptional instruction. As an adult, I was worried about looking foolish or paying for what would just end up as a pleasure ride. I wanted to really learn how to ride. Under the excellent instruction of several instructors, my husband and I really found joy in new assignments, and were challenged by the instructors to master techniques in equitation. Within his first year, the owner of the program approached my husband saying he was ready to compete in shows if he desired. It is such a different experience having a hobby to grow and work on new achievements in. We absolutely loved being able to ride together and it was a highlight in our week. About a year and half ago our 4-year-old horse-crazy daughter wanted to do riding lessons and so I looked up Oak Haven again. She is very strong-willed and often acted out. Within a few months of starting lessons with Leslee, she has experienced a total turn around in her behavior. She is sweet, helpful and obedient and constantly talks about her time with the horses. She has bonded with a few of her favorite horses (as have I) and works hard to earn her lessons. Additionally, she has grown in her riding skills and has developed great confidence in herself and her abilities. It is wonderful being able to see her shine with something she loves so much. Leslee is her instructor now and Leslee takes great care to make sure that my daughter is safe, confident and always challenging her to try just a little harder to achieve her goals. I highly recommend Oak Haven to anyone.

We have been with Oak Haven for many years. As a parent, I truly appreciate Leslee’s positive teaching style and having students learn by using a hands-on approach. My daughters have learned so much about horsemanship from Leslee over the years. It’s been wonderful to see their confidence and love for the sport grow. Leslee offers students the chance to show, as well. Although showing is not required, it is SO fun and an AWESOME experience! The perfect program for beginner or advanced riders! 💜

Oak haven performance horse is a great place for kids to learn and grow about horses. I go there everyday and love to see people smile and laugh! And the trainers and great and friendly to everyone around and they love to teach students of all ages!!

The owner (Leslee) is awesome she truly cares about her students and her horses. She is an amazing teacher and is an even better person. All of the riders are so sweet and helpful. I completely recommend OHPH.

I thoroughly enjoyed my lessons with Leslie. It was always very positive and improved my confidence as a rider. I wish the lessons didnt include tacking and untacking, which is why I removed one star.

I called well in advance of the groupon deadline to schedule lessons for my daughter for her birthday. I left a message as directed. Not only did they not call me back, but the owner was very rude when I called them the second time. She unapologetically explained that she had too many calls to return them all until POSSIBLY July. She stated that she is expecting a baby and they are down a horse. These are interesting events, but it is not my responsibility to be accommodating when I have already paid for a service they offered. She explained they will POSSIBLY honor their Groupon sometime in August. I contacted Groupon and they found that the business is listed as temporarily closed. This is a lousy tactic from a business that clearly expects its customers to be okay with purchasing something from them which they had no intention of providing. What if I hadnt called the second time? Im glad Groupon gave me a refund. Now, I get to find a different gift for my kid whose birthday has already come and gone.

Awful, terrible, horrible experience. The owner/trainer (Leslee) was very difficult to make contact with. Called a few times in the fall and it took 6 weeks for her to call back. By that time, scheduling was difficult because she was taking time off for the holidays. Called again in spring and another 4 weeks passed before she returned my call. We finally had to schedule a time that was not convenient but she needed forced it because the coupons would expire. We were unable to make it. Now she is ready to have a baby and will allow me to schedule in August but I will have to pay additional money. I expressed my frustrations about her lack of availability to which she responded my hands are tied. I asked her how her hands were tied as she is the owner. She responded with I am sorry, that is how it is. I reminded her that she was dealing with human beings and she could make a choice to do the right thing. She refused. Obviously, this is all about her and the money and not about having a passion for introducing people to horseback riding. Very sad for my two kids.
