They get the job done

Not the demographic for people who own a house, a car, arent alcoholics, arent drug users. People who just need talk therapy look elsewhere. Also: If you want to get in, you need to pay (or have your insurance pay) to simply walk in the door and do an approximate 1/2 hour questionnaire. Wait. Then do another half hour with someone whos not even a therapist wholl go over everything you wrote down as if you dont know how to write or what you wrote. Then youre told you have to come back the next week at a time NOT of your choosing, as if you dont have a job, and do a second intake appointment, If you need to move this appointment, you are told ... you must START ALL OVER AGAIN. Like a child. You must pay the fee again. You must fill out the entire questionnaire again (what? They didnt photocopy it or keep it from last week? What sort of sick game are they trying to play on people who need psychiatric or therapeutic help?) and you must do this over and over and over again until you do this exactly twice in a row to their satisfaction and only *then* will they let you go to Intake #3, where they figure out what therapist they want to assign you to.Again, if youre not on Medicaid, have a job, arent an alcoholic, dont use drugs, and dont want to play some childish scam games with a place that is clearly taking money from the disadvantaged (and Medicaid), then dont bother going there. Bide your time and wait for an opening at a real local clinic, such as the one at DHMC. It takes time on their waiting list to get in, but they will treat you with respect, dignity, and not try to scam you out of intake money over and over.

Went through multiple therapists from West Central starting from a young age. They were all TERRIBLE. If you have a child struggling with mental health issues, please do not send them here.
