The Austin Automotive team took care of the brakes on my daughter’s car, along with taking care of the oil change. They gave me a comprehensive list of work that needed to be done, allowed me to discuss it with my husband and then we could make a decision on what needed to be done now without pressure to complete everything. As a woman I always am nervous taking my car to the shop but let me just say that it was SO great working with them! They took my car and I had it back within 2 days. They called my warranty people and kept me updated the whole time. They did not try to scam me into buying extra things. They were so professional, kind, and friendly!

I took my truck to Austin Automotive because the AC was blowing cool in the passenger vents and warm in the driver’s side vents. About mid day, I received an estimate for $850 to replace a blend door actuator. The price included $128 for the diagnosis, $288 for parts, $200 labor, $160 to evacuate and recharge the air, and some other fees.I call the company to inquire about the outrageous price for the part and asked where they were getting it from. They told me NAPA. I called NAPA and they quoted me $180. I call Austin Automotive and the manager told me there was nothing he could do about the outrageous prices because he was not the owner. I thanked the manager and told him I would pay the diagnostic fee and pick up my truck.I picked up the truck, paid the $128, and the manager told me they put some Freon in the truck to diagnose the problem and there was no extra charge.I drove the truck home and the AC works perfectly. I am not sure if I should be mad because it is fixed. I am disappointed about the parts mark up and question if the repairs were even necessary.

This is the 3rd time I have had my Silverado 2500 Truck Serviced. I went in because the electrical signal from the truck to the hitch for towing my RV was dead.Within a little over an hour, the specialist diagnose that the factory has neglected to complete the wiring on the truck. He completed the job and now the battery on my RV is charging.I am a very happy customer.

I dont usually post comments about a place I have done busy with, but I was very impressed with my visit to Austin Automotive yesterday. I hadhit a rock in the middle of theroad and it had hit so it hardthat it knocked my phone outof its holder, so I went to have the under part of the carchecked, at first I was askedif could leave it, but I had funeralto go to later so couldnt dothat, but I could come in themorning,. Then Jerome, themanger,asked if I had some time now, because it would havebeen late that afternoon beforeit could be looked at, some howhe had someone look at it, stop what they were doing and checked my car . I say all this to say he cared about my situation.But the amazing part is notonly did they check the under part, but took pictures with anarrow showing where the rock had hit, severalpictures, and did a completefluid check and found 2 nailsin one of my tires. To me theywill be the Automobile repairshop, for me, on a one time.visit.

Ive been taking my car to Austin Automotive for many years. The Leander location I have learned to like more. They are more attuned to taking care of your needs. They honor their parts warranties and the prices seem fair for the repairs. I really enjoyed my experience with the Leander location. I have an older vehicle that tends to have repairs yearly and they do awesome job so far. Ive lived in Leander in Cedar Park for over 10 years and they are by far my most favorite location of any automotive store that Ive taken my car to. They are very professional and trustworthy. They like to supply you with all the information and walk you through your car repair in detail.

Jerome and his staff run an amazing auto shop. We’ve had routine maintenance and major repairs performed by this location and have always been pleased with the service.

A nice clean facility with an awesome waiting room(few chairs, television, clean), and nice associates. They do require mask which is nice and the assistant is behind plexi glass for our safety and there.Got a full synthetic oil change blend done same day, no complaints, will probably come back here whenever I need the car serviced.

We moved to Leander area late last year and were looking for a good place to get auto work done. JT and his staff were very professional, knowledgeable, and honest. I took my car in because I thought I needed work done on my brakes, mostly because a chain here in town wanted to charge me $400 for brake pad replacement and rotor machining.Austins Automotive Specialists took a look at my brakes and found nothing needing repair, and they walked me through what to look for in the future, saving me hundreds of dollars. Better yet they did not even charge me for the time they took to take my wheels off and diagnose. The employees were also extremely personable.It was the most pleasant experience Ive had with automotive repair, and Ill be back once I need work done.Very highly recommended.

JT and his crew were great. I went in thinking I needed a wheel alignment and it turns out I have a faulty front tire. They don’t do tires but I managed to get my state inspection done while there which was nice. JT printed out the labor report so I could show discount tire - my tire should be under warranty so this will help. We’ll definitely be back for future automotive needs.

Made an appointment for a wheel alignment and oil change, they were short staffed that day so took just under 2 hours total, though they did a good job. They checked to see if I was due for any other regular maintenance on the vehicle as part of their normal service, and recommended brake fluid change for my mileage, but didnt pressure me when I said no. No other up-sell tactics used and social and friendly at the counter.

I was disappointed to hear that JT is no longer at the Leander location. JT provided excellent customer service. The new manager seemed very overwhelmed and didnt seem to care about my concerns. I asked questions but he kinda just blew me off. When it comes to automobile care, I want someone who will answer my questions and not appear annoyed that Im there.

Good, honest business. Recently had to replace some tires where all signs pointed to an alignment being needed. Rather than just completing an alignment because I asked for one, they did a free check, found no problems, and explained to me the likely cause of the problem with my old tires. They could have easily just taken my money for little to no effort, but were honest and up front with what my car needed. I also appreciated that they quoted me some additional preventative maintenance, but didnt pressure me to get it done.

JT and his team are upfront, timely and respectful. They also provide frequent updates so youre not left in the dark about the repairs. Well definitely be using them in the future.

I recently had been quoted over $4k worth of repairs by a dealership. I took my car to Austin Automative for a second opinion. They were very helpful. Even though they could have quoted me less and done the repairs, they did the right thing and said I didn’t need the expensive repairs after all and just some minor work. My wife recommended them to me because of their integrity, and they didn’t disappoint. They earned our trust and an entire family of lifelong customers.

I’ve been here 3 different times in 3 different vehicles. First for an inspection, and they were great, quick, and nice. Second my wife’s car for an inspection and also an oil change. Again they were great, quick, and nice. This last time was a vehicle I’d just recently bought. I took it up for an oil change, and another issue I was having. They wanted to charge me $128 just to CHECK and see what the issue was. Then whatever parts and labor were after that. I wasn’t asking for anything major at all. I still got the oil change and they were great, quick, and nice. However for anything other than inspections or oil changes, I’d take your vehicle somewhere else. They’re going to stick it to you for anything else. That just seems extremely excessive to me to simply check a problem they didn’t even have to diagnose.

They have serviced all our 3 cars now from oil change to this last one, inspection. We will continue to trust them with our cars as they are very courteous, informative, quick and affordable.

I brought our 2011 Enclave in for a hard start. I thought the starter was going out because I “checked the battery” and thought it was good. I authorized them to do an oil change and change out the starter (both for $610). I left the car and they did their thing. Which is, apparently, being awesome. They kept the car for two days (one was a Sunday and they were closed, no biggie) and charged the battery up. Apparently COVID kills batteries too. They called and said the car was good to go and nothing needed to be replaced. Some places would have replaced the starter regardless of condition. I’m grateful they were honest, and to top it off they were friendly too. I’m inherently suspicious of auto mechanics, but that is my own hang up. We will definitely be back. Go with confidence. 👍🏼

I adore this place! They are easily the most pleasant mechanics I’ve ever worked with. They’ve always gone above and beyond for me and they’re incredibly honest. I went in this time because a national chain mechanic told me I needed to get my brakes replaced and they quoted me at around $500. I went here and turns out I don’t need brakes, the back brakes weren’t aligned! They fixed that, found another issue with my wheel, fixed that, and changed my oil for under $150. You just won’t find better than Austin Automotive, especially this location JT, Eddie, and the rest of the crew are the best!

Updated review: I always brought my car here. I work on cars on the side and always charged fair prices. I loved their service, but since JT has left; they have a new manager, Jerome. I was stranded in the Texas heat with my two kids and called them to maybe get my car towed there due to an electrical issue. He didn’t seem to care or even feel any empathy towards the situation over the phone, just flat. I’ve always paid full price for everything and never had a discount, so what I’m asking is basically for decent customer service. My family all took their cars there (They have 5 cars) and never had an issue, until they brought one in for an oil change. Also, the mechanics were bumping such loud music, and my dad has PTSD from the military so it was shocking to him. Jerome had a Devil May Care attitude about him towards us again. I was shocked needless to say. Also, responding to another woman’s review by dismissing the problem saying all his 5 star reviews isn’t helpful; Austin Automotive. Clearly, you don’t like to listen and understand people’s side unless they are a man, because I saw the response you had to a man complaining about a mask. Really disappointed.

I walked in with no appointment and was seen immediately. I lived down the street so I asked if they wanted me to just come back. The manager stated no I was fine, my car was taken right away. Shop in Leander,, TX. 10-14-2020Went in for wheel alignment because car was pulling left. They finished and driving home realized it was now pulling to the right. Called them and made an appointment for the next day. I went in and while I was waiting the young mechanic that worked on it the day before came in a bit flustered and very rudely said to me Maam, you want to show me WHERE you want the steering wheel to be!??. Like where do most people want their steering wheel to be!?? Centered and driving straight.. The man behind the desk kept trying to tell me nothing was wrong with it, as if I enjoy doing these sort of things. The manager was not in but the man behind the counter tried to stick up for the mechanic also being condescending towards me. I will never return.

JT and his team were great. Had the brakes done in less than one day, noticed an issue with the new pads, ordered some for next day delivery and called to let keep me updated. My car is braking much more smoothly and as quiet as the day I got it now.

I felt I needed a front end alignment, Austin Automotive technicians measures and checked all the alignment specs, discovering no adjustment was necessary. They also checked all tire pressures and discovered all tires to be over inflated, and adjusted them to Ford factory specifications. The truck drives very well now. I scheduled and appointment for 430pm. arrived at 429pm my car did not get brought into the shop until 500pm. and the oil change took 20 min. They did discount 10 dollars off for being so late.. would have been nice to know they only had one mechanic to work on three cars.

Had just tried to get my vehicle inspection done (just down the street), turns out I had a brake light out. They replaced it, I went back to the inspection station and passed with no problems. Saw me with no notice, very little wait time, and were very pleasant.

There were a lot of loose and worn out parts in the steering assembly and suspension. They quickly diagnosed the problems and provided me with an estimate. They had everything fixed within 24 hours. Great people and great service. I would recommend them to anybody.

I went in expecting the worst when my battery terminal was so corroded it was basically useless. When I called they told me to bring it in and they would take a look at it. I brought it in and they were able to fix it the same day for a super reasonable price. I have had many things done here but their customer service was amazing and they helped me out when I needed it.

All services have been great. Always finished earlier than expected. Never had to return because of fixes failing. Will always use this business for all of the services they offer.
