Freds did a great job. Since I was leaving town for a few days, Freds let me bring the boat in early. Turns out that they were able to get to it early and completed the work quickly. They had all the parts in stock vs. other mechanics which have had me wait weeks (supposedly for parts), after I would drop off the boat. Freds was fast and I felt the price was very reasonable. The quality of the work was top notch. Highly recommend.

Didnt buy my boat from Freds and havent been spending two grand a year having them service it either. However when trying to leave town needed to pull off a bent prop (literally a 5 minute job) that I didnt have the tools for. My wife and I could not be more impressed with our experience working with Freds Marine. My wife and I made the decision to purchase a new boat that will fit our current and future family. We shared our hopes and fears with Kip and he set us up with a test ride complete with letting the kids surf behind to make sure we werent just happy with the look of the boat, but also the performance. I mentioned our fears which pertained to large waves at bear lake. To alleviate this, Kip created the largest waves he could and drove straight through. We loved the look and performance and were then able to review color samples and changed our minds multiple times. despite our many changes, Kip always smiled and today we are the proud owners of a new Centurion Ri245. Fred’s was super willing to help me out schedule and price wise on a used boat purchase from a previous customer they worked with. The motor had a warranty issue/other issue I wasn’t aware of at purchase time. They were super helpful, knowledgeable, and I would highly refer them.

Fred is an outstanding individual and will go the extra mile for you. I’ve had personal experience where something was not right with my boat after it was in the shop for weeks, Fred personally came to my house to fix the issue while my boat was in the driveway.The shop is also nice I’ve bought a ton of products from them.

FRED’s is now my “go-to” marine repair and service shop. Their customer service and frequent communication with me regarding some major boat repairs on my custom salt water outboards was above and beyond! They did the job right. I’ve used other boat shops in the area and Fred’s is by far the best in customer service and communication. I wouldn’t hesitate to refer someone to Fred’s. Be prepared to wait a little- they are very busy, but it’s no wonder! They do a great job, and they do it right.

We purchased a 2021 17.5 Tracker from Fred’s Marine this year. It took a little longer to be built due to COVID than expected. Fred’s Marine did very good at keeping us updated on the progress. Once it arrived they prepared it for delivery very quickly so we could go fishing.

Great place to buy a boat. Worth the extra drive past another dealer to get great service and down the earth high character people to work with. Not to mention better price offer right out of the gate. Buying stuff in todays market is tough. Lack of supply, lack of staffing, etc. But when you find something that youve been shopping for, nation-wide, then it seems like a sales person should, ideally, make it as simple as possible. Especially nowadays, and especially if you take the time to explain that youre in Texas and the boat you want -- the only one like this in the USA!! -- is in Utah.Its never been easier, thanks to technology, to pay for stuff. Credit cards, PayPal (and others), etc. have greatly simplified ones ability to get money to a seller. But when you encounter somebody who is either ignorant, or is taking instruction from an ignorant (or maybe just lazy, apathetic supervisor), none of that matters, and the deal dies.Rather than being a can-do sales person, J. B. at Freds Marine was, unfortunately, a no-can-do. And Im posting this review because I have spent > 20 hours hunting for boats, and so another 15 minutes writing this review might save somebody the frustration and failure of dealing with J.B.Ive bought tractors (Kubota, from Barlow in KY), cars (BMW of Nashua, NH), and houses (various states) via Wire Transfer. This is a process wherein you obtain from the seller their address, phone, bank name and account number, and bank ABA routing number. You, the buyer, then provide your bank with this information, and the amount of funds to be transferred, and then the transfer is made, usually the same day if you request the transaction before the cutoff, typically noon to 2pm.This process does NOT mean that you then have access to the sellers money, J.B. That is a ridiculous and false statement. It is by FAR the safest way to pay. Safer and faster than cashiers checks (which scammers love to use by the way), and doesnt invoke a merchant fee like a credit card transaction.Using UShip, I found a hauling outfit who would pick up this boat for me, and deliver it to me in the Texas Hill Country. But they had a very tight timeline. I explained this to J.B., and just got no-can-do and bogus info in reply. Sure, its just a $26k boat, and thats not a big deal these days. But its a big deal that I spent my time trying to make this happen, and J.B. and perhaps his finance person at Freds sank my 2021 Tahoe T16.I would give J.B. one star, but he was kind enough to send me quite a few pictures of the boat a couple of days ago. Thats where his effort ended.

I bought a wakeboard rope here two weeks ago, our first time throwing it in the water I found that one of the strands of rope was cut/broken. I went right back to the store with my receipt, and they said they couldn’t do anything to help me at the time because they would need to call Hyperlite first. It’s now been a week and no one has called me back. I called Hyperlite myself and in about three minutes they were sending me a new rope and said they would call Fred’s and tell them how warranty customer service should work.I would dare buy anything else here.

I bought my boat from Freds and have it serviced there. I dont think any boat will be 100% issue free, and mine wasnt, but the staff at Freds has taken care of everything and made sure I am happy with my purchase. I have faith in their service department to take care of any maintenance and issues that arise. What I appreciate most though us the level of communication. I really like the ability to receive updates and communicate through txt msg.

After dealing with Germaine Marine for over a month trying to get them to get parts for me. Each of the 4 times i called it was the same story. who are you? what do you need? we will call you when we get what you need/ we will send you an e-mail when we find your part.In one day i went up to Freds marine, talked to Fred himself and had the issue delt with for 1/3 the price i was expecting, and had the part in 4 days later with a fresh tutorial from Fred on how to install it myself. so happy in fact i bought a new surfboard from them as well!i am sold on this place! customer service was amazing! i will forever be a loyal customer to Freds marine!

Fred’s Marine took care of us! We purchased a pontoon boat in May and completely enjoyed the purchasing process. Jaden was very helpful and answered all our questions quickly.We used the boat several times a week. Pontoons are so much fun!The boat a mechanical problem in July, and being first time boat owners, we were weary and frustrated. The shop tried their best to get the boat to replicate what it was doing on the water in the shop, but to no avail. Heather and her husband took our boat out on the water on their own time and Fred took the boat out again a few days later to try and figure out the problem. They were patient with us even when we got frustrated. You could tell they wanted the problem fixed as badly as we did. Good news! They fixed the problem and even fixed our boat cover that had a rip. We didn’t even mention that it was torn. It’s these little things that make a big difference. The boat is running like a dream! We would happily purchase another boat through Fred’s Marine and will continue to take it there for service! Thank you for being thorough and helping us out! I don’t usually do reviews but I was so pleased with Fred’s I’d like to drop a line or two that might help someone make a decision on where to do business. Earlier this year I was informed by Fred that Volvo had recalled the ECM for my boat for a software update. There was a lot of back and forth with Volvo (4 times) with said ECM because Volvo was installing incorrect software. Fred got it all sorted out with a lot of legwork and didn’t charge me. They even fixed an interior item as well. I’d highly recommend their services to anyone!
