I’ve take Sofie to PetSmart a few times and trusted them with Chopper’s first cut 7/19/2021.They do so well! Sara is great with Chopper and patient with Sofie (Sof is more active and nippy). They haven’t had any nicks or bleeding or issues after grooming.Price for a full trim is a little high for me, but worth it for the puppy trims!! It’s helpful to have the puppies get used to grooming when they’re small.

Never had a bad experience here only problem was they didnt have the item I needed.

Went there hoping there would be fish, because we need a algae eater due to a incident with our tank leaking... Anyways all the fish tanks were empty and under construction Petco doesnt have any algae eaters ethier except a catfish

Weve been going to this location for 4 years but within the past year theyve disappointed us on multiple occasions. We were told with a previous issue that wed get a discount on our next visit but never received it. We were reluctant to return with our newest dog but decided to give them a second chance. Wed tried to remove recent tangles at home but had hoped they would have additional techniques to prevent cutting or shaving areas but they didnt have such knowledge. We complained and they seemed like they simply didnt care about our opinions or the outcome of our dog. This was our final straw and we will not be returning!

Sami did an amazing job with grooming JoJo! Ive never seen her so well-brushed, and her nails grinding looks perfect!!

Had a great experience here. I was looking for a large fish tank and stand and I got a great deal on a set. Their fish tanks are always clean and the fish look healthy, in contrast to Petco where the tanks are filthy with dead fish all over the place. The tank and stand were heavy and large and the associate helping me took them all the way outside and helped me get everything into my vehicles and strapped down securely. Couldnt have done it without him. This location is always clean and the associates have always been helpful and friendly.

Never had an issue at this PetSmart. They always have everything I need. They usually have discounts on their dog food and if you want an extra discount, just go on the dog brands website and download a coupon; PetSmart will honor it. They are always going to be on the pricey side but its not overly expensive and everything you need is in one place.

Dog grooming people were knowledgeable and detailed oriented with grooming techniques on my dogs first visit. Groomers took there time and was very patient with my dog facility very well maintained clean 2 to 3 hours for grooming to be complete

Absolutely spectacular service. The employees were all so very kind and professional. There was a power outage and they all handled it very well, they passed out water, and even have everyone some free treats. They are fantastic.

I got my shots. The Vet was very educational and Im all better.... Nap time now 🥱

Excellent customer service provided by two employees on December 4, 2020 at approximately 6:00pm. They were both working in the dog food section. I asked the female for help, she was very helpful, and also consulted with the other employee, a male for more information. I had more than an average amount of questions to ask as I have been researching dog food choices for my three dogs. I have done a ton of research and was a bit lost as to what the feed them with all the issues dog foods seem to be having. I want the very best food for my dogs and it is extremely important I am feeding them correctly while Im on a very restricted budget. The two of them discussed with me the ingredients and what they feed their pets, carried very large bags to my cart and were just all around extremely helpful and pleasant. The girl who helped me was very small and could pick up a 47lb bag of dog food as big as she was. Both employees were busy and productive my entire visit to the store. Even though they were both busy, they did not hesitate a moment to be friendly and helpful. Both of these employees are absolutely wonderful. Having owned a retail store myself, I very much appreciate employees who take their job seriously, provide excellent customer service, and do it with a smile.

Good experience. Went for the vet clinic. A bit crowded, even with an appointment, but easier and less expensive than a regular veterinarian visit.

My dog came home just as dirty and smelly as I dropped him off. I paid just for them to watch hum for an hour. I will not be going back now I have to find a place to clean and trim his nails. Worst service ever.

I shop at this location at least once a week, and have had positive experiences almost every time, but today the cashier who rang us out at 3pm provided customer service that was very lacking in every aspect. She acted very put out that she had to help us, didnt bag one of my important items, a health hazard item, and didnt even thank us. I would recommend some customer service training, at least!

The first time I took my puppy to PetSmart to get groomed she was a little under 15 weeks and they were telling me that I couldn’t have her get groomed cause she didn’t have her shot when it said under a 15 weeks they were fine after we argued for a good 30 minutes they finally took her back you could tell she was scared and they just kept pulling her. She was so scared for weeks. So I wasn’t planning on taking her back. I finally caved cause I needed to get in and I took her back and she was scared but went back just fine. But they didn’t do all of their job. She still had dirty ears, they skipped some of her nails when trimming them. She seemed happy and all good when I picked her up but then later to night I went to clean her ears she freaked out and then ran away and wouldn’t let anyone touch her. Never going back to PetSmart for anything ever again.

This is a nice place, they have everything you need for your pets. I would say a bit overpriced compared to getting things at like Walmart or Amazon, but theres a lot of stuff that Walmart doesnt have and sometimes buying stuff online isnt better than just getting it at. Respirable pet store.The fancy hamsters they have here are nice, (there was one that hissed when I tried to pick it up but I didnt buy that one lol).They have an animal hospital with a 14 day guarantee when you buy your pets. So if your pet gets sick within 14 days of bringing it home they will actually nurse it back to health for free and give it back to you (if you want it). Or they can replace it/give you a refund.

Some of my customer service has been excellent. Organized, clean store. A cat got out of its owners hands or out of its carrier, happened super fast, and the store immediately locked down the front door. I was impressed with their reaction speed.

This review is for Davis the dog trainer! Hes great at his job, patient, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic. You can tell he really loves animals. Our ruckus pup is so well behaved now. Couldnt have done it without him!

I went in to buy frozen mice for my neighbors python. I read some reviews and wasnt comfortable buying them on my own and trusting that they were good mice. So I recruited the help of someone that worked there that knew about what a good Frozen mouse would look like LOL. So my Christmas bag to my neighbor consists of a grown up treat for him and then of course a treat for his best friend the python. I feel pretty good about it and Im grateful that they had somebody in the store to help me feel better about my purchase.

Great store but don’t listen to the employee with his hair combed back about fish. Trying to argue with me about my high tech planted tank I’ve had cycled for a year when I tried to buy fish. People do their own aquatics research before getting into the trade and don’t listen to useless employees like the one in the fish section here. Other than that, great selection of fish and nice cashiers I had an encounter with.

I use to really like PetSmart but here lately it seems like they are out of a lot of things.

They have good dog treats toys and my huskies high protein foods. Plus takes care of the cats and guinea pig.

This place is super friendly and knowledgable. Always willing to help out with any questions or concerns. But they seem to NEVER have any crickets.

TORI- the fish girl, knows nothing about fish or was just lazy the day we bought some. We got a 3.5 gallon starter tank, she said up to 5 fish was fine and that we didn’t need any special water treatments or anything else beyond what the tank came with. Turns out, after 2 days, $120 and 2 dead fish, we needed ALOT more to start. She picked us the wrong fish food for the fish we got, and completely lied about everything from “yes we can use tap water”, to “yes you can have 5 fish to start”, to “no you don’t need a heater or bubbler” when I specifically asked if we would need any of it. Took everything back and got a full refund even for the dead fish which was nice. But if you don’t know how to do your job, get a new one. If you don’t know how to be professional, stay in the back. We got this for our daughter and in 2 days it was a disaster.

Took my son here to look for snakes and lizards. The people working here were very kind, informative, and helpful. They had some pretty good priced lizards that my son was interested in such as the bearded dragon, long tailed lizard, and some corn snakes. They had some really cool prebuilt housing packages for the lizards that we could by. We didnt purchase them yet because my son needs to save for it. But we will definitely return when he has the money.

Curbside pick up was speedy and easy but I wish they would not advertise betta fish the way they do.

Some of the fish aquariums had visible algae build up. Otherwise the fish seemed healthy.I saw a very sad cat there, no fault to Petsmart. Someone adopt the kitties. I would if I could.Their reptile section is sparse.

They did an amazing job on my mini Whoodle. I was so thankful they were able to get him in when everyone was booked.

I went to the little pet hospital and they took good care of him, they also have great health plans

My sales associate was so good and let me know information I did not know about my cats so to pick the correct food for them and make sure that I wean them off slowly from their old food. She suggested which ones would be good and I was looking for holistic. Great customer service really happy with this place. Much better than Petco.

Store manager got on my case about not wearing a mask. Ill be going to Rustys Reefs in Bountiful for all my fish needs from now on. Not sure why I havent done that already. Rusty is great, knows a ton and I should be supporting local businesses instead of the big box guys.

I go there for everything I need for my cats and dog.

Ordered online and picked up dog food in store. I think they would do better if they had something or somewhere for people to go to indicate a person was waiting for an online order. If they already have this it isnt clear. I had to wait in line and there was a person checking out ahead of me.

Pets mart prices are awesome. Called to get some information about gerbil care and their associates were very knowledgeable!

Took my dogs to get their nails clipped. Staff was friendly and fast.

I bought this GORGEOUS goldfish and I was SO excited! She looked so healthy, absolutely perfect. But I was wrong... a couple weeks after having this fish all my other fish got sick... I treated them for what I thought was ick (they all had white spots) but that didn’t help they kept getting worse. finally all their skin turned red, and started to peel off. I got some different medicine for broad spectrum fish diseases because I couldn’t figure out what it was. But it was too late. Every single one of myGoldfish died. Even the two I had for almost a year. Even my pleco died. I’m heartbroken. 💔 idk if I’ll ever buy from pet smart again but there aren’t many other options around...

I had scheduled my appointment. Had to wait two weeks when it was the day to take him in they said I wasn’t on there computer and told me that they couldn’t take my dog. Now I have to schedule somewhere else and wait another two weeks.

Need to teach the young non caring checkers to stop bagging my NON FOODS with my food products.I offer to bag my own to avoid this ... but that little punk would not let go of the cute spinning bags. Wth.. either bag how I politely ask or let me bag my own.Plus I bought an item that offers a warranty... dude didnt even ask ... had to back up re-ring it up.What happened to doing a job well done??Our future if these kids are it? We are screwed 😔

Store itself was very clean and had a lot of variety. However the cashier who was working that night was so rude! She was just texting on her phone and was so annoyed by the fact we were trying to check out. After me and my sister checked out, my sister ended up wanting to grab another item and when she went to pay for it the girl literally said “so annoying “ because she was back in line!!! She thought we didn’t hear her, but that’s so unprofessional!!!

I will never patronize this location again. They lost my business. Despite my children already having beautiful reptile enclosures with hundreds of dollars worth of all the necessary features, they would not sell me a $40 gecko unless I purchased their enclosure products.

I took my dog for a bath and he was really happy when I picked him up. I noticed he didnt have a bandana, no cologne spritz, and I took him outside to relieve himself I noticed that his lower back was really wet still. He is really good for the velocity dryer so Im not sure why. I went back in to ask if she could dry him a little more so he didnt get my seat wet and within the 5-7 mins it took for me to take him to pee, they were gone. When I got home I checked his anal glands and they were still full. The girl was really nice though and my dog was very happy so thats all that matters.

A good store that usually has what I need. The customer service gets better every time I go. I just think that the actual store needs a little bit of a facelift. It feels so dark in there!

I have been bringing my dogs (3) to this grooming salon for 3 years and they are always great with customer service. The price is very reasonable and I am satisfied with the nail grindings they did today!

The workers are so kind and willing to help! Always makes me feel welcome. I would give 5 stars, but they dont have a very wide variety of hamster things.

I bought three cherry barbs here, introduced them into my talk and all the fish in my tank got sick: worst case of ick I have EVER seen, about 7 days after I got these fish, and maybe something else. 90% of my fish have died ($100+) so far including the fish I bought. I tried to talk to a few people at the store about it and no one cared, they kept blaming me saying I did something wrong or just ignored me entirely. Ive had some of these fish a very long time (not long enough for how long they were supposed to live) and they will be greatly missed by me and my children.My tank: I have had multiple fish tanks and this one has been fully established for almost 4 years and NEVER had a problem. I get my water checked, no problems. I have been checking the water temps for regularity issues, no problems. I have been doing additional water changes, etc. etc. etc.

So dang expensive! Really, I am not paying $16.99 for dog shampoo, when even people shampoo isnt that expensive unless you are buying Name Brands.

Banfield Pet Hospital in Layton is amazing!

We always buy the 50 pound bag of dog food for our two large dogs. Both our dogs like PetSmart!

I went in when the doors were open one morning and i was just looking to see if they had a specific item and a worker walks up and says hey how could I help! So I replied yeah Im looking for this special dog food and he just cut me off and says we arent open so leave and I said well why is the door and your sign say open and he said were only open for grooming so I said oh then dont ask to help if you arent open for service yet he then said yeah whatever ! Customer service was poor and down right disrespectful!

Clerks are very knowledgeable. Easy to find items. Very clean store. Banfield vet inside the store is prompt and well mannered. Took very good care of our baby when she needed shots.

I went to the Layton location to buy a fish. The worker wouldn’t give me even a goldfish because I don’t have a 10 gallon tank. I then picked a different fish and she wouldn’t give me that one either. I eventually went to another worker and asked for their help instead and they called the same worker from before, not even attempting to listen to the problem I had had with the way I had been treated. When I went to go get a fish again the worker began asking me the same questions and trying to not sell me a fish. I was very frustrated and annoyed. She made my friend and I feel very uncomfortable. I had to look her in the eyeballs and lie to her face to get my tiny fish. My question is, do the fish pay her salary or do the customers who buy the fish pay her salary? I am disappointed ☹️

I had some friends pick up some fish for me, and they decided to stop at this one. The lady that helped them was EXTREMELY unprofessional and refused to sell them the fish for me. She didn’t even know what a black moor goldfish was, but refused to sell them because she thought they were too unexperienced and didn’t trust them. She said one goldfish needed 100 gallons of water when in reality, when full grown they only need 29 gallons. These fish were also going to be my birthday present. Poor service. Really disappointed in this store.

Needed a filter for the fish tank and since they are always out of this one size. I thought get another filter system, but they only carry one brand so it would still be a problem guess Ill go somewhere else
