They had a battery I thought would be hard to find for a older cell phone in stick for same day pickup. Customer service was great, ordered online and picked up in store within 30 minutes, bonus they recycled my old battery.

Amazing experience: super helpful staff. Mitch helped me with a rare battery for my emergency light. I previously searched for this battery for a year... yes... a year! I even looked into getting it from the manufacturer (UK)... but the shipping ($$$!!)...Sure, I could have ordered this online (*one* person had it on eBay or Amazon or something.) BUT I prefer supporting my local stores. The experience with the Layton Batteries + Bulbs was top notch. Very helpful, and patient. Mitch and Greg (?) omg Im so bad - I totally forgot his name and just talked to him (sorry!!) Well, they are great!
The man that helped us out was very professional and to the point. He helped us find what we needed immediately as well as offered pleasant conversation. We purchased some Geenie smart lightbulbs and a key fob for an older vehicle. The prices if those items were great. The fob was $40 cheaper than at an auto parts store! Will definitely be returning!
Closed 15 minutes early on June 29th causing me to waste a trip to their store. Very disappointed! I will be looking elsewhere for my battery needs from now on. Definitely call before you make the trip to make sure they are abiding by their regular business hours.

The cell phone repair is amazing. They went out of their way to fix my husbands old cell phone, eventhough other cell phone repair places said it could not be fixed. The customer service was outstanding.I would highly recommend their cell repair service to anyone!
Scheduled an online appointment with Batteries Plus Bulbs for a phone repair and received confirmation. Tried to call the next morning as I had a few questions about the repair beforehand. No one answered so I thought that they might be busy and went to the location. No one answered because the store was closed an hour later than their posted hours. Came back at my scheduled appointment time and was advised that the head technician wouldnt be in for another two hours and the person there was not certified to make phone repairs.Since I had an appointment, I asked what they were doing for the scheduled appointments that day (i.e. moving them, rescheduling, etc. and how long he thought the phone repair would take once the technician was in. He said that he didnt know, that he didnt even know if they had the part that they needed for my repair (even though I had gotten a confirmation) and that I would just need to come back in a couple of hours. Made it seem very SOL.Went across the street to FIXIT Mobile who has ALWAYS been able to have my phone repaired the same day. Was one of the first ones there that morning and FIXIT Mobile had my phone repaired in 90 minutes.So, not sure about Batteries Plus Bulbs. Maybe someones grandma died or something, but the customer service was really poor and the way the situation was handled definitely could have been better - like offering to call when the technician was in or offering to reschedule for later in the day. Being experienced in customer service, these are the minimal things that one should be offering.To their credit, the head technician did call me 2.5 hours later to let me know that they didnt have the part needed for the repair and they would need to order it in. At which point I advised that my phone had already been fixed and they didnt need to worry about it. No apology for the abysmal service or not honoring their appointment times though.

Went in to get my iPhone 8 fixed after having a horrible experience at tricked out accessories, and the service was amazing. Employee changed my screen and replaced the speakers and camera to my phone. He was super fast, he got everything done within half an hour. He was very nice and was so helpful.
Went in for 2 marine batteries and found a set i wanted. The employee said they dont have the batteries in stock and I would need to contact the manager to see if he could get them in and manager is not there on Saturdays. So I tell them Ill be back in on Monday. I come back in and they say oh the manager is off at 4 and I ve missed him. They printed out the batteries I needed put my phone number on it and said we will put it on the managers desk and have him call you.. Well... its been a couple weeks now with no call. Definitely wont be back.
I brought my new car over to get a spare key cut and programmed for it on high recommendation from the car dealer. I wasn’t disappointed - great service with a smile by a very friendly guy - the key was cut/programmed perfectly and price was more than competitive. I will be back there again, as I browsed around the store, it was stocked with pretty much every kind of battery imaginable. Highly recommended!

I called ahead to see if they had a replacement battery for my garage door opener the employee said yes. So we drove over from Ogden. There is a sign at the counter that says I will be back in a minute. Eventually the employee showed up only to find out he didnt have the battery.
I went to buy a battery online that it seemed they had, so I went ahead and went in person instead. Turns out they didnt have the lithium version of the battery or even the normal one. Okay, so I go ahead and order it online after all on a Monday, then Greg calls on Tuesday to let me know that they will need to get it and it will be there Wednesday. On Wednesday, I call..no battery. Maybe tomorrow when they get their shipment. Okay..but they dont call (again) then so I go ahead and call on Saturday. Nope, still not there and then I get a message from Greg that I must have misunderstood something, that the battery is on back order. With this kind of communication and lacking infrastructure, Im out.
I have returned here multiple times for batteries and for help with my car fobs. He was able to order me a new one and program it to my car and has worked fabulously. Better price than the dealership and excellent customer service. My husband had same great service.
Went in to get a battery for my 2014 Ford Focus after going on the website and finding my specific part number. I went in and told them what I needed and the man went a grabbed a battery. Bringing it up on my phone and showing him they were two different part numbers, he insisted on it working. When I got home and installed it I ran into some fitment issues. Next time I would suggest just selling the battery that is specific to your customers vehicle and not one you think will work and is a better battery.

My trip started out at the local Walmart, to replace the battery in my sisters watch. They no longer install batteries in watches they dont sell, but they DID sell me the battery. They referred me to the local Batteries Plus Bulbs in Layton.When I went there, the gentleman happily installed the battery for me, and didnt even charge me for it, and it only took him about a minute to do it!
I have been here twice before with a great experience. Unfortunately a few shady employees have ruined this place and will not be going back. My husband took his phone in to get a new battery. When we went back to pick it up he had ruined the front screen and it no longer worked. He apologized, the screen was slightly cracked before so we kind of understood. He said they could replace the screen but it would be $149 he said he had a screen in his car and he could do it with that one for $100 we agreed. After it was done he requested cash or Venmo to a personal account. A week later it stopped working. We took it back into batteries plus the same employee said it was dropped but would do a new one for $60 so we agreed. The phone again 2 weeks later isn’t working. We contacted said employee by now we had his personal phone number. We asked for a refund we were treated very rudely and very unprofessional. He gave a partial refund from his personal Venmo. Things here are very sketchy and I am very ill impressed.

This place does not honor their warranties. Back in January of 2020 I purchased a replacement battery for my iPhone. At the time they told me that the battery came with a 6 month free replacement warranty. About a week later the battery had already gone completely dead so I then returned and was met by a big bald guy who told me that it was not the battery this time it was the charging port and charged me again even though I knew it was the battery and in the end, they replaced the battery. In May the cheap battery could only hold a charge for 45 minutes so I went back a second time and of course the big lazy ball guy was working. I knew he was going to make up a reason why they wouldnt honor the warranty. For15 minutes he tried to come up with a reason. Finally he said that since I had already had their battery replaced the first week I wasnt eligible to have it replaced again even though it was still under warranty. I asked him for his name and he refused to give it to me and instead gave me the middle finger in front of other customers. Luckily I took a picture of that. I had actually brought two other devices to have the screen fixed on it would have been $400 but after that I wasnt going to waste my time with this place.
Love this place. Very knowlegable and friendly. So nice to take my watches in and never have to pay for another battery (with their optional lifetime replacement) program. I also appreciate that you can recycle your batteries there.

I needed a new key fob in order for my truck engine to start. Greg was able to replace the fob and make a house call to program it so that the truck would start. Great customer service, will use them again in the future.
I ordered a key fob for my car, was told it would be in on Monday. I went in on Tuesday, no fob. Finally by Friday was told it was in. I go in to get it programmed, but nobody working that day (a Saturday) knew how to program it. Wait a few more days, go back in, they tell me they ordered the wrong fob. Wait another week, go back in, theyre unable to program it, because they ordered the wrong fob for a second time. Another week, go back in, theyre still unable to program it, this time they blamed my car battery. Long story short - 6 separate trips to their store, I received no fob, and no apology for all my wasted time. These guys have no clue what they are doing and provide horrible customer service. Im giving them one star because I cant go lower than that.
I put a five because my battery now work just like new. But when I got my phone back I saw that my screen was not all the way in the phone anymore.I don’t know how to fix it. Other than that I think it’s perfect.

Huge disappointment - there appears to be a major problem with basic service at this location. We dropped and cracked a screen on our Google Pixel 3a XL. Their phone service came recommended. We found their website easy to use and booked an appointment online which saved us $10. When we scheduled the appointment, the Pixel 3a XL was on their dropdown menu (screenshot is attached to this review) when we selected our service. We booked on Sunday. Monday we received a call saying that the screen was not in stock and the appointment was moved to 12:30 PM on Tuesday, July 7th. On Tuesday we call to confirm the part arrived right as we leave for the appointment. We were told that there was some miscommunication and that they only work on Samsung and Apple devices, even though the google phones are an option for repair and after we received a call the day before to confirm the appointment. We wasted two days to find out that their website advertises services that they dont offer and that the gentlemen who confirmed our Tuesday appointment on Monday did not know this. Truly disgusted with this chain of events.

These guys have a great service for getting new keys cut and programmed for your car. My favorite thing about them is they dont make me buy the blank key from theyre stock. Theyre willing to cut and program the key that you bring in. So many lock Smiths have stopped offering to cut any keys but the ones they sell which really doesnt make it much cheaper than going to a dealership. But at batteries plus bulbs they help you save a ton of money.

I wasnt exactly sure what I needed to get three different key fobs working again. Cameron quickly tested them, and answered my questions even when it ultimately wasnt a battery issue. I will absolutely be back when I need specialty batteries because of the great customer service I received.

Very bad experience. The older gentleman (around 40 years-old and bald) was rude, I think this is the way he treats customers, for the way I saw he treated another person that was there at the same time I was. This is not acceptable. I wont go back.

This is the best place to get a specialty battery, from car to drawing pen, I was in need of a AAAA battery which I never even heard of, and was recommended this place. They had it, then it was quick transaction and I was on my way. If you need something not easy to find I recommend this place.

The reason why I only gave 2 stars is that every time that I have called the store to get a battery and asked about them installing it, per their claim on their website, they say that its only a courtesy and they cant guarantee that they can actually install the car battery. I understand that they can get busy and so it might take a little time to do this but their attitude seems wrong. This is my 3rd time to use them for each of my childrens batteries and so far I havent had an issue with the battery. On the first battery I was supposed to get a rebate but wasnt provided with any paperwork to actually get it. I hope their customer service improves because I think they have a good product at a decent price.
Great experience with phone repair. Theyve replaced screens, batteries and even an internal antenna that affected GPS & bluetooth function. I recommend setting an appointment up online. Its easy and they do the repairs much quicker than other places I have experienced.

Worse than car salesmen. I had two RV batteries I was charging at home. Took one in to get tested. Said it was bad. Batteries Plus guy made up some crazy story that wow, its negative 600 as he tilted the meter away so I couldnt see. I thought that sounded odd, but I was going camping that weekend with my family and wanted to ensure the RV battery would work and bought a $100 replacement battery. Went camping. Got home after camping and parked the RV and realized I took in the wrong battery of the 2 I was charging. This means the one I took in was perfectly fine and the guy sold me on a false story. Scam artists.
Rip off! I needed a battery for my watch. The cashier asked, You want me to take care of that for you? And changed it w/o mentioning theres a significant service charge. A $3.99 battery costs $10.67. And he didnt even set the watch to current time. No Customer Service! I will buy nothing from this business ever again.

We went in to get a phone screen replaced, simple as that. At first we were told it would only take a few hours to replace, but not too soon after they told us it would take a few days. No big deal, whatever. But, a few days later (AFTER their deadline), we had to go in after the person on duty refused to answer the stores phone at all. When we went in, we discovered that, SOMEHOW, the repairman (if you can call them that at all) had managed to BLOW UP THE PHONE. The fact that you can screw up that badly still amazes me. We didnt even want them to mess with the battery, nor did we ask for anything but the screen replaced. The guy we talked to initially hardly even talked to us, he was practically hiding behind a bigger guy. They then had the audacity to YELL at US for asking THEM to replace the phone that THEY BROKE.In the end, we couldnt sue them (and trust me, we wanted to) for the damages, and they charged us for a replacement phone (which is an older and worse model than what we brought in and is used), and didnt refund a single dime. They just kept the money for the screen, the replacement phone, and services.We will never, EVER be coming back here. We are going to make sure that EVERYONE we know understands that this place is horrible, and should be shut down. Oh, and Bulbs + Batteries, if youre reading this, respond to this review. I will give you my email and we can chat.tl;dr: This place sucks, it destroyed the phone we requested to be fixed, treated us poorly, got us a crappy used replacement phone, charged us for everything, and refunded nothing.
These people are amateurs when it comes to batteries. Dont expect them to know anything about batteries, they just sell them. At first I was impressed when the guy came out to look over my boom lift. When he brought out 2300.00 worth of batteries they didnt even have date stickers on them, oh wait, one of them did. As I was hooking these up, he said I hope this doesnt blow up. I asked if he had ever hooked these up, he said he had not. When I had trouble keeping them charged, he had no answers. One of the connectors melted because the bolts didnt have lock washers. They couldnt fix it, so I took it to one of their competitors and had it fixed. As I say, these guys are amateurs.

I have been using batteries plus for years for new batteries as well recycling old ones responsibly, but this store has lost my business forever. I came in to dispose of four 18650s as well as purchase a battery for my RV and 2320s for a scale. However the associate made a big deal about whether my batteries had been inside of a vape, going so far as to ask me to smell them and telling me they smelled like ejuice (they did not and had been recently rewrapped). Ejuice does not come in contact with the battery, and even if it did to act as if a drop of ejuice is somehow more hazardous than a lithium ion battery is crazy. I guess they would rather people just toss 18650s in the trash and let the garbage man lose an eye or dumpsters catch on fire. I will be going elsewhere for all battery needs.
They overcharge. The clerk was kinda rude and condescending. The battery took three weeks to come in. It screwed up my phone when it did. They said they sent out for a new one. Three weeks later I had to call them, they had lost my order. Atleast they refunded me. Bought one on ebay for a quarter of the price, i got it a few days later and it works great. Just go to ebay. This would have got one star but atleast they didnt hassle me about a refund. So two stars.
Had phone screen fixed at Layton store.They failed to call us to let us know it was done. They tried to claim they had tried several times to reach us.Then they said that they were not able to test it, because they didn’t have the password. They had been given it.Turns out the port is now complaining of water, and the camera doesn’t work. They want to charge us to fix what they broke.Stay away from this store. Maybe batteries plus altogether.

Only place to buy your batteries, and now ordering/paying online is even better. As youre sipping your cup of coffee in the morning you can just buy your batteries online, pay for them and then while youre in the area while you are doing your shopping, stop at your local store, scoop them up and your on you way lickety-split

I called a couple stores to see if they had the battery I needed in stock. I had to jump start my cycle to drive it there on my way to work and then I needed a charged battery to install so I could go to work and get back home without needing a jump.After calling and explaining my situation to make sure I didnt waste a trip, He assured me they had what I needed, so I loaded up and headed there.When I got there, and was unhooking my battery, he came out and told me that he was wrong. They DIDNT have the battery I needed, but hed be happy to sell me a more expensive battery that he had that would need to be taken home and charged overnight. WTH?!!?I made him jump start my cycle and I left. Had to flag down two motorists later that night to get home.NEVER use this store.
I will never ever go back here. I hate that we wasted our money! My boyfriend needed his phone screen replaced and the guy said there was a chance his phone would stop working afterwards. I called tricked out and they said it only would happen if they were using a cheaper product and couldnt guarantee it worked. Well here we are a month later his screen isnt working and it shatters at the sight of barely a scratch. 0/10 would never recommend this place!!!! Go somewhere else!
Honestly if there was the option to put zero stars I would do so. I paid for a loudspeaker replacement August 14 it’s September 18 they still do not have the part, I have called multiple times and I am rarely able to speak to a manager and they still do not have the part in. I just tried to speak to them again and they weren’t even able to help me over the phone they were helping other customers at the same time and asking me to call back once again. If I’m counting the calls that I’ve made it’s probably my sixth call. This was just an absolute waste of time and money I will be getting a refund and I will never go back there. The initial reason I went there was to replace my screen on my iPhone 7 Plus. My screen has glitching issues still till this day and it was just a really bad experience I paid way too much to get horrible service and a horrible product. I won’t ever go there again. Sidenote, are usually don’t write reviews however this place just pushed me to the edge.
Went to the layton store in hopes of finding a lightbulb for a 1950s clock, clock didnt have a bulb installed. I showed the guy in the store a picture of the socket, voltage it needed to be, and i even had an old manual that told me the bulb was a #41. Cashier searched in the computer and said there were 300 items when he searched. Given there were quite a few he didnt even try to narrow it down further, said he needed more information. I went home and searched amazon with the same info i gave the cashier and i had the correct bulb in less then 2 minutes, ordered and installed in a few days. Seems obvious to me the cashier didnt really want my business and wasent putting in any effort. I think this is my last time ever trying to find something at this store.

Was told by the incompetent Riverdale store (a review had been posted) that Layton had what I needed. Not trusting the Riverdale store I called Layton. They in fact did not have what I needed. The employee that I spoke to seemed very indifferent to my needs and lamented that their stock sucks, orders arent getting in and it would be weeks before they might have what I needed. So to recap. Employee doesnt care. Stock is depleated. Resupply is sketchy. Inventory numbers dont agree with on-hands. But the dude was honest and kept me from driving all the way there to find out. So 2 stars.
