I saw Snelgrove Travel information on KSL Classified. When I called in, I was routed to Diana. She was terrific to work with. We were dealing with five different individuals’ schedules. We had to change our trip from Puerta Vallarta to Cabo to Cancun for various reasons. Diana was very professional, pleasant, and extremely patient. She also gave us tips on traveling. First used Snelgrove Travel 15 years ago for my honeymoon and then lost track of them when they moved a few years back. I found them once again with a Google search of travel agencies in Layton and they came up. We just got back on August 1 from a 4 night all inclusive vacation to Cabo San Lucas. Stayed at The Holiday Inn Sun Spree resort. I speak for the other couple when I say that a good time was had by all. This was another positive experience with Snelgrove Travel. After they sent me a quote I pointed out it was a few dollars cheaper on Expedia Snelgrove Travel lowered the price. Plus the Snelgrove Travel customer service with Richard & Pat was fantastic. Everything on time and on budget from Snelgrove Travel. On the return flight on Delta Airlines the flight was delayed & seat assignents got screwed up. Cant blame Snelgrove for that. If going to Cabo San Lucas we recomend the Holiday Inn Sun Spree Resort. Good value and service.

We are part of a group that wanted to do a river cruise from Amsterdam to Budapest. We set the ball rolling with Viking Cruise. We had some questions and were referred to Diana at Snelgrove Travel. She took over our booking with the greatest of success. Communication was excellent and timely and she even got us an additional $400 discount on the bookings. She made numerous helpful suggestions and greatly improved upon our initial set up direct with Viking. We recommend her highly.

Recommend that you AVOID!! RUN AWAY!! This is the worst travel agency out there in our experience. They will advertise that they will beat all online prices. After 4 different phone calls that it took them just to verify the right itinerary, they finally conceded to beat the best price on the internet by a couple dollars. When a Military discount was applied by the cruise company, Snelgrove jacked their prices up $150. It is hard to believe there is a company out there so willing to take advantage of a discount that people of the Military are given by a cruise company.We were easily able to work with a number of online companies that were not interested in price gouging their customers and taking advantage of their customers that receive a Military discount.Wasted an entire day trying to work with these folks. There are better prices and more respect for their customers by many better companies out there.We were amazed at how they seemed to struggle with simple math.Save yourself the wasted time and grief from trying to work with a bad apple.Cannot say enough bad things about this company!!!We had many conversations with Richard and this was not a good experience.You are better working off with so many better companies!Your time is worth something and this company did nothing but waste ours. You may want to consider what your time is worth before calling them as it may take far longer than it should and the results are less competitive than if you used an online company.

Kristina was an excellent source of information for our trip to Cancun. Her initial bid was better than three other agencies and it was nice to have a complete offer rather than piece together something online.The people there were always accommodating...even when I arrived as they were walking out the door to go home for the day.The resort she referred us to was not only within our budget but was one of the best in the area. We had such a good time! Choosing from a very long list of excursions was difficult, it would have been nice to have a shorter list of options that people enjoyed most. I did not know that information would be helpful so I did not request it.Even though we will be leaving Utah I intend to keep them in my contacts and use them for all my trips. I would gladly refer friends to this company.

I had such a great experience with our travel agent Pat! She was so helpful and I felt she was genuinely excited to give us a great travel experience. We used her to book our flight to Kauai. We stayed 2 weeks on the island. She checked prices on rental cars, our beach house, and made sure we knew of all the great local places to eat. I generally book online, but I was certainly impressed with using an agency. She found flights cheaper than the ones online, and they were more direct, which meant less layover time (which is fantastic because we have small kids). I also knew that she was well traveled because she knew all the best places to snorkel and the beaches that would be less crowded. Tips like that are small things that I havent gotten from an online experience and they made our trip so perfect and personal. We didnt land wondering where should we go? What should we do? Where should we eat? I wasnt left googling the best places to see.... because it was already mentioned to us by our agent ahead of time. I would completely recommend her to anyone!

My husband and I have been planning a trip to Florida for our 3rd anniversary and Snelgrove Travel has been so great to work with. Kathy is very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful as weve planned our trip. We booked our beachside hotel on our own, but Kathy was able to get the price even lower than we were originally charged. And she was able to move us from a city-view room to a beach-view room for free!! She also got us great deals on Disney tickets and car rental. Ive tried twice now to get feedback of rates and travel for upcoming trip to Hawaii- the 1st time the dates of travel were wrong in the quote, responded with correction and clarification- never heard back. Tried again last week because they are promoting HAWAII fares- still nothing. Save your time and energy- if people are willing to spend $ traveling they need to improve customer service to respond to needs and inquiries in timely manner.

I want to preface this review by stating that this is the first negative review I have ever given. 2 months ago, I was getting married and for the first time in my life, decided to use a travel agency. Over the course of a few days while working with the travel agent, we found an all inclusive resort in Mexico and booked it for $2,300. Later that week, we got married and went to check in for the flights for the following day. I soon realized that the agent booked us out of Houston Texas instead of Salt Lake City. Throughout the entire conversation, not once did Houston Texas come up. In fact we talked a lot about Salt Lake. I immediately tried to contact them and after hours and hours on the phone, they gave us 2 options. Pay an additional 1000 dollars more for new flights out of the right city this time, or cancel and get 700 dollars back of the 2300 we paid, and on top, have no honeymoon. Neither options sounded good, so we decided to dispute the charges. The sole purpose for using a travel agency is to avoid mistakes like this, which the agent admitted verbally to me was hers. 2 months later, they are still fighting us. I didnt want to write a review about them until it played out, but we just got a letter from American Express essentially saying that the travel agency vindicated themselves of any blame and inferred that it was our fault. I would recommend you book your own travel, or find someone else.

Last summer we got to go to Disney World. All thanks to Snelgrove Travel Center who helped get our vacation set up. We had a BLAST at a great price! Diana was super nice and helped us with whatever we needed to get our vacation going. Including some lanyards and Disney stickers for every child. We had a great time and Snelgrove Travel Center made it that much better. Thank you for making 2012 a year to remember.

Snelgrove Travel has earned my business once again. Due to weather delays on our return trip from Jamaica, Our flight was canceled. While other people were stranded overnight, I called Snelgrove Travel and Snelgrove Travel got our ticket change and routed use from Jsmaica to Toronto changing planes and back to Sal Lake. A five star rating for sure!

Been putting off till now writing a review for my favorite Travel Office. My first experience with Snelgrove Travel was about 10 years ago for some Disneyland tickets for the family. Now outgrown Disneyland. Wasnt until last year that we used Snelgrove Travel again, but this time it was for a trip with my 6 friends and neighbors to Kona, Hawaii. We planned to go around Christmas, but my travel agent Richard suggested we changed our dates to early December if possible to save $$$. What a great suggestion because our package price dropped by $386 per person by switching dates. We loved the Royal Kona Resort. At $788 for air & hotel is was a good deal. its nice to have a human to talk to in order to book this stuff. I never write reviews (and never did on previous trips) but I just got back from a 7 day Mexico cruise and a loved the unexpected upgrade from category 4A to 4C. This trip was booked with Rosita. Great service once again. Thanks Snelgrove Travel for a great deal on the cruise. Thanks for telling me to fly into Long Beach instead of Los Angeles as well.

Worst experience I have ever had. I am taking 6 of us on a cruise. It took several weeks to get the cruise situated. Pat the travel agent did not help me find flights to Florida. She told me I could get my own flights since she doesnt make anything off of them anyways. At that point she had already received my payment for the cruise so I was stuck.I still didnt have a hotel reserved for us. We are staying 1 night in Florida before we get on the ship to go to the Bahamas. Desperate for help I thought Id try her again to at least help me with a room. She emailed me back Sunday night and said she would email me Monday with options. Its now Thursday and out trip is Sunday.This is the worst customer service I have ever received. Something that is suppose to be amazing and relaxing has been stressful and upsetting. I thought travel agents were suppose to help remove the stress of travel... I will never use them again.

I was amazed at the knowledge and resources that the travel agents have at Snelgrove. I thought that by finding a vacation on the internet on my own would save me money. I went in looking for a cruise vacation for my family and thought that the travel agent fee would be tacked onto the end after finding a great price. What a relief to know that the travel agents get paid by the cruise lines NOT from the customer. Thus they were able to find me a great price on my trip to Alaska and also booked great shore excursions as well. I wish I had know years ago. Would have saved me time and money. Thanks Snelgrove!!

I have used these guys for a vacation once in the past and had a great time other than every thing planned was not the truth, so I decided to try them again thinking they would help and they refused to help me book a trip that was to florida the lady was rude and I got hung up on. I will never refer anyone to them after trying weeks to get a quote for 3 different vacations and them saying they would email me and never did then I call them and no one is nice and wont help at all I will never give them my money again!!!! This is not a bogus review my wife wrote this and she has used you in the past and yes she did get hung up on and no one would assist her she was trying to plan a trip for this Christmas and your team said they couldnt help her because it was only to florida and not out of the states!!!!

The place has a funky smell.... They need febreeze for sure. Alaska airlines has a 60 day return you ticket with a $120.00 penalty according to their web page. Snelgrove said they would give a full refund back if it was up to them, but said its up to Alaska air. Snelgrove proceeded to charge $200.00 cancelation fee. Im sitting in Seattle for 6 hours due to the route they chose for us. Something aint right here.

The folks at Snelgrove Travel did our business travel when I worked for TeleScene Corp in 2011. They did our honeymoon in 2012 to Aruba. Now we just got back from our 5 year anniversary trip to The Riu Montego Bay in Jamaica. Snelgrove Travel did a fantastic job arranging our trip . As promised and as agreed. However flight was delayed connecting in Atlanta. What a bummer. Arrived in SLC 4 hours late thanks to Delta mess up. Snelgrove Travel take free passports photos for us at their office. Also offered us water & popcorn while we were arranging our trip. Now working on a trip to Amsterdam and once again Snelgrove Travel beats internet prices as done before. Planning travel is such a pain but These guys at Snelgrove Travel help make if painless. Two thumbs up & 5 stars.

I wanted to thank you for all you did for me for a ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL trip to Jamaica! I honestly had the time of my life!The Riu Ocho Rios was very French and feminine, but I loved the beach there! It was sandy, long and wide, which made for great strolls at night and fun walking as far out as possible to explore during the day. The service was great at the Riu too. Everyone was very helpful in making sure I got where I needed to go safely. I was also surprised with not just one, but two, birthday cakes in my room, ha ha - this was a really nice gesture. The food overall wasnt too bad either.I also liked how close the Riu was to Dolphins Cove and Dunns River Falls, both of which I did. At the Dunns River Falls I didnt realize I would be hiking up where the water fall comes down - silly me thought I would be a hiking trail along side of the falls, sometimes getting wet. Had I known I would be walking up the actual falls I would have brought just water shoes or bought some at the hotel or on the beach for $10. The water shoes could have been a fun souvenir. I took my hiking shoes and Im glad I had shoes with a little traction. They did get soaked, but worked out just fine.Dolphins Cove was a highlight! My brother and his family were on a Disney cruise and stopped in Jamaica so I met up with them there. I looked into online bookings before arriving in Jamaica, but ended up booking the cheapest excursion through the hotel when I arrived - which happened to be cheaper than what I would have booked online. When I got to Dolphins Cove I was able to upgrade for only $30 to the Royal experience, which saved me over $100 if I booked through the hotel and over $150 if I would have booked it online. I guess I got lucky.Another highlight was experiencing the Luminescent Lagoon. I felt like I was in Avatar! It was purely magical.I also LOVED the Reading Road trip and visiting with the children. I would recommend filling a small, older suitcase with books and schools supplies and just take it and leave it at the school. When we got to the school things werent as organized as I thought they would be, so if I were to go again I would take the reins with the principal and teacher, organize the volunteers and students into small reading groups to maximize our time with them and make it more productive. Spending time with the kids was something Ill cherish for years to come. Seeing the school, meeting the teacher and principal and seeing more so how they live was a definite highlight. PS. It was super hot and humid with no air circulation so plan/dress accordingly.Jamaica welcomed me to my 40s beautifully and Im so grateful for you and Snelgrove travel that helped me pull it off safely.Thanks again for a memory of a lifetime!

The attention to detail at Snelgrove Travel exceeded expectation. They spent extra time re routing our return flight due to hurricane Maria. But before that we had an unusual request. Snelgrove Travel did our honeymoon 10 years ago. Now 10 years & 3 kids later we went back for 10th anniversary. Went back to them with unusual request. We wanted to go back to the same Cancun resort & stay in the same room. We remembered our resort (Riu Palace) but couldnt remember room number. Karen called me back a couple of hours later & said they searched their old records & found our room number. We arrived at the Riu & they did it...it was the same room number! Thanks for saving us a few $$$ compared to what was we could find on the internet ourselves. Most important however is thank you Karen & Beth at Snelgrove Travel for the memories & going the extra mile. Five stars and then some!

Ive done some disney stuff with them and liked them. Then I go to plan my honeymoon. The whole We Guarantee to beat their price slogan is total b.s. They told me the internet deal is something they cant beat even though all over their page it says they will. Dont put it if youre not going to uphold your promise!!! I see that as dishonest and will never use them again or refer them.
