My only bug a boo is that if you are a disabled swimmer and have to modify the way you can swim laps, youre considered a walker and not a swimmer and get kicked out of the lane if an able bodied swimmer wants the lane.Other than that, great place to be with usually friendly staff!! Clean and well kept!!

I told the front desk personnel I was interested in the heated pool for my bad back and was recommended to me by physical therapy. The front desk people at first told me nobody could show me around and to just walk around and look because there was nobody to show me around. There were 3 people behind the desk.After I told them I had a bad back and just needed to see the “heated” pool, one of them got up to show me where it was. She was in a rush to get back.The “heated pool” was ice cold and not very clean. The showers (checked out 2) didn’t have hot water.I asked the “female lifeguard “ what was on the ramp mat entrance to the pool. It looked like twisted metal but she didn’t even care to look. There were dead bugs floating in the water at the entrance.They charged me $15 for a day pass. I was there less than 30 min. That was a waste of my time and money.

Ive been a member since December 2017 and as a Weightlifter i desire that the Y. gets better up to date equipment.Staff n Administration are actually 5 stars.Very welcoming helpful and joyful except for a few newbies that are just shy and scared.

Tons of equipment, clean, childcare included with family membership, fitness classes, sauna, hot tub, two pools, family changing rooms... The child watch staff are great too. If only they were open on Sundays and had more childcare hours :(

Zumba and Spin classes are Amazing!! The childcare personnel are very kid friendly and my children love going. Really enjoy the facility

The building has had several large additions over the years so the layout is odd. Childcare on site. Two pools. Lots of weight machines and a racketball court. Separate locker rooms for teens. Three basketball courts with an overhead walking track. Separate aerobics area. Well-maintained and very clean, friendly staff.

This place is the best. Family friendly, plenty of equipment, daycare with membership, classes, family changing rooms, etc etc.

I had a rough time as I was going in. They were kind and helpful. I have four kids that I homeschool and Im so grateful to be able to come here.

First day at YMCA. Staff was friendly, equipment was clean and in good order, and equipment cleaning supplies were readily available. I used the cardio equipment, day locker, and shower without any issues. You do need to bring your own towel... though that just makes sense really; who wants to use a towel someone else may have rubbed their butt on? Dats just nastay. Towel au jus de bootay! 🤣

Wish they had pool open to water walk all day.

I love the Y. The staff is super friendly and helpful. And the cleaning crew is working very hard to make sure that machines and equipment is whipped down and sanitized.

Professional and helpful staff always a smile and guess (s), just A-Ok, keep it clean 🙂.

Bridgette and the rest of the staff are extremely kind! They allowed my youth group to take showers here free of charge for three days. We are from our of town. If they hadnt allowed this I dont know what we would have done! From what I saw of the facilities they seemed decent, clean, and updated.

It was good as it always is.I an my children like the YMCA. It is clean an well taken care of an I like that you are acknowledged as soon as you come in the door.

Getting swimming lessons for my youngest daughter. Instructors are great, friendly staff.

We are really enjoying our Y experience. The childcare employees are FABULOUS!! They are loving, caring, and fun! The gym is always clean. The family locker rooms are nice. The showers take a bit to warm up (if they warm up). I wish we could swolim in the deeper pool when its not lap time. But other than that, fantastic Y!

Our 3 year old is playing basketball for the first time this year and we are absolutely LOVING the way that Mr. Alvin Clemons runs the sports. He has really got a great thing going for the city of Lawton. We cant wait for our sons next sport choice to continue our journey through the Lawton Family YMCA!

Very nice facility and nice staff. Couple knocks tho. For Lawton YMCA to be a for profit center a little extra emphasis on old basketballs and proper cleaning of the gymnasium doesn’t seem so hard. Although y’all have many different services, less attention is given to the adult male as far as offering different sports and leagues. The youth has like 2 or 3 different basketball leagues alone. Lastly as a dedicated basketball player, the gymnasium is my favorite place in the facility. Certain mornings between 9:15-10:15, others and myself may be kicked out of the better gymnasium and either told to come back or go to the other gym ( the less nicer gym). This is due to the fact that they hold an elderly class. If they didn’t require the whole gym when they only use one half of it would be ok, but like I said the ones that use the whole gym have to relocate when the class can be held in the other gym all together.

Long time member of The Y. The people are awesome. With are $55 a month family membership it is worth every penny. They offer child care! I have 2 kids so to have peace well I work out is the best thing ever.

Great children’s program! Lots of space and workout areas. Big locker rooms and separate Family locker rooms. The gym is a little warmer then I’d think people would prefer but I’ve never heard anyone mention it!

If you are joining to swim and can not swim before 3 it is not good at all. Had to pay 100$ to signup fee and when I called to cancel was told I would have to come in. Because it was not 30 days they charge me for another month. I would not recommend at all.

I love this YMCA. 2 pools, hot tub, dry sauna, multiole fitness classes M - Sat., large weight room, 2 basketball courts, indoor walking track, racquetball, sports teams for kids and youth, separate lockers for men, women, boys and girls, climbing wall,day care, etc. Very friendly staff, safe and clean. 5 stars.,

Want to have a birthday party here? Good luck! There is only one person that does birthday parties and she will call you when she is ready. Single point of failure. Even when you are standing in the lobby, cash in hand ready to pay for a birthday party reservation, she will not conduct business. Straight garbage!

I paid for swimming lessons for my grandsons. The aquatics director was not very good about scheduling and returning calls. Many times she would seem confused about the arrival time and she seemed bored or not very enthusiastic. I will not be using the YMCA for further lessons. I wish I could get my money back.

Nothing but fantastic things to say about the Y! My son and I loved the babysitting service while I worked out when he was smaller. Now that hes older he loves the day-camp when theres no school. The teenage counselors are fantastic with the kids and will even say Hi when we see them out and about. Sherry, the swim instructor, is wonderful. I could go on and on, but will make it short by saying there are no negatives here. The remodeling is looking fantastic!

Closes their racquetball courts, of which there are 3, when yoga uses 1 of the courts due to yoga not wanting the noise from the other 2 courts. So it ends up that one cannot play racquetball the majority of the week during proper gym hours.

Great place work out and be able to meet great friend

I have coached there and been a parent of a child that had a sport there. At all times the Staff had all the answers to questions. Always helpful and friendly.

Besides treadmills it has the smallest free weight area for any ymca ive seen. i cant imagin 8 ppl working out with weights here without blocking eachother at some point
