We have rented with Lighnin twice now and both times, they were fantastic. The vehicles were spotlessly clean and are very new. The staff is great to work with, always patient with our phone calls mid-route when something worried us as newbies to the RV world. And they have been hugely accommodating with date changes due to our COVID concerns with travel.
Ive had several marvelous experiences renting from these guys. Great equipment! Everything was clean and in tip top shape. Scott taught me everything I needed to know about hooking up and operating all the appliances, awnings, tanks and lights. I felt really well prepared. They hooked it all up for me right when I picked it up for my trips. They even included a free sway bar hitch in the rental. Terrific service, terrific equipment! Lightnin is taking the current pandemic situation very serious. From minimizing touch points (pickup/dropoff) to disinfecting the camper. We felt really good and safe with the rental. We rented a Brand New Grey Wolf 24js from Lightnin. We booked the RV last minute on a Friday morning around 10:30 AM (same day pickup) & the RV was available and ready to pickup in couple of hours (We picked the RV at 4 PM Sharp : Very professional about the pick up timings which I loved it the most). Usually its difficult to find RVs last minute however Lightnin made it available for us which we really appreciate it. We rented the RV for 10 days and loved the experience. The staff over there could not have been more helpful in the set up and pick up. RV was equipped with everything we needed. The rates are lower compared to many other RV rental places (Just from my personal experience). I strongly recommend this place to have a wonderful experience. Keep doing the GOOD WORK!

Awesome place to deal with. This was our first rental adventure. We opted for having the trailer delivered to our site vs. pulling it ourselves. Worked out well. Delivery guy was old school and knew what he was doing. Had the camper set up quick and gave us a walk thru. Jonathan was great to deal with as well. Easy communication back and forth. When we venture to Georgia again we will definitely be giving them a call.

This was our first time renting from Lightnin RV but not our first time renting a camper in atlanta. We will definitely be back for future rentals. Great staff from the front office to the guys that walk you through set up. They do a great job explaining everything to you and make you feel very comfortable renting the camper. I got the Greywolf 29 and was plenty of room for my family of four. Lightnin is taking the current pandemic serious as well. From minimizing touch points to disinfecting the camper. After having an 8 month reservation canceled the week prior to our family trip on Outdoorsy, Johnathan at Lightnin saved the day. I guess things do happen for a reason. We could not have asked for a better experience. The motor home was outstanding. Spotlessly clean and in perfect order. We are already making plans for another adventure!

In summary, the RV was great but the company basically stole our security deposit. Look at their photo evidence and decide for yourself.Renting from Lightnin RVs was a mixed bag and I personally will not be renting from them again. Keep in mind, this was our first time renting an RV, so we made some rookie mistakes. Pickup was easy. The RV was in great shape and the condition matched the photos online. Our first mistake was not checking the fill level of our black water tankbefore we left. When we reached our campsite we found out that the black water tank was two thirds full. Otherwise, our time staying in the RV was great. When we returned the RV there was absolutely no documentation in the Rental Handbook about the condition it was expected back in. With that in mind, and because we were rushed, we swept out the inside but did not mop it. Muddy floor aside, the RV was returned in exactly the condition it was picked up in.More than a week after we dropped it off, we had not heard back about our security deposit. I called them to ask about it and learned that they were not giving our deposit back due to the mud and evidence of dogs in the RV. This was a huge surprise for us for many reasons 1, that a company would just take a $500 security deposit without saying a single word to us, 2, because there was never a dog in the RV, and 3, there was no documentation stating that slightly muddy floor was cause for withholding our security deposit.They sent over some pictures that Ive attached to the review of evidence of a dog being in the RV. At this point it devolved into finger pointing, where we had no way to prove that we hadnt brought a dog into the RV other than the fact that we were at a 4 day music event that dogs are not allowed to, and our trailer was searched upon entry. The pictures show an absolutely tiny amount of hair. It would be impossible to avoid some hitchhiking in on our clothes and linens and gear, as 3 out of 4 of us come from homes with dogs. We understand that Lightnin runs a business, and that there are probably plenty of people who try to pull a fast one on them, but losing your security deposit after having followed the guidelines to the letter is beyond frustrating.The moral of the story is that you should be very wary of getting your security deposit back when you rent from this company. Every other part of our experience with them was great but the way the deposit was handled was beyond shady. We will not be dealing with them again and recommend you rent an RV from somewhere else.
This my first experience renting a RV, but I learn more about the enjoyment and pleasure of camping in North Georgia mountains. Their campers are great and easy to drive. Very comfortable sleeping ! Easy to operate all equipment!
Steve and his team at Lightnin RV were very professional and accommodating to us. We rented a C33 Camper for the UT vs. VT Game at Bristol this past weekend and had a great time. The camper was spacious and accommodated 8 of us comfortably.Recommendations...1) Arrive 1hr prior to your reservation time so paperwork can be filled out and the driver(s) can watch an eighteen (18) minute video pertaining to the camper your about to rent.2) Campers come equipped with a 15amp./ 30amp. power adapter; however, when we arrived at Bristol Motor Speedway the camp grounds we were staying at required a 50amp. adapter. We had to go out and purchase the adapter on the open market for $35 (Lightnin RV) sales the adapter for $20. Call ahead to your destination to ensure the type of power amp that is required for hook up.
We rented a travel trailer for our Spring break trip to the beach. Having rented class As before, we wanted to try the travel trailer so we would have use of our truck while on vacation. We really liked the cleanliness and virtually new trailers that Lightnin had available for us.Everything went smoothly and were able to have an event-free week.Highly recommended.
These folks are wonderful! The motor home looked brand new and spotless. (They only rent motor homes less than a year old.)They taught me all I needed to know to operate it and patiently answered all of my questions -- Id never rented or driven a motor home before, though I did have a pop-up camper. The shower and air conditioning (powered by the generator) were wonderful.They even overlooked that I had scuffed up the portable table that I added to the package!Ill definitely be back!

We had some questions while we were on the road and we used the emergency line. Steve called us back very quickly with answers and support. They were very kind and flexible! Recently visited Lightnin RV Rentals to get an RV for a trip to Talladega. The staff was very friendly and nice. The owner Steve was there giving recommendations on how to best utilize the RV which I thought was impressive. The RV was brand new and functioned great. Had a lot of fun and if we make it back down to the Atlanta area again well be renting with Lightnin RVs!

What a great experience! It was my first time renting and towing a travel trailer and with all the questions I had, Steve and team patiently walked me through it all. Im not sure whether the prices were competitive, but for our experience, it was worth every penny! Our family will be doing this again next year with a travel trailer or upgrade to a larger RV!

This was my familys first time renting an RV and there was some hesitation because we were bringing 3 children and didnt know how to operate an RV. During the trip we had a few issues and called their emergency line and Steve called back within minutes. He was able to answer my question very clearly and all three times I called it ended up being user error. I will definitely rent from here again because I am confident if any issues arise they will be there to help. Also, the RV was very nice and, with three children, made the trip to Florida much easier.

I have been renting from Lightnin RV every year for four years straight now. The RVs are always brand new and in excellent condition. This was our first RV rental and we were very cautious and anxious about it. Over a period of two months, Steve and Co were very professional and helpful in replying to our even naive questions. They helped us find the RV which suits our needs. Their RVs are new and are in great condition. We got a complete overview of all controls and amenities.During the rental, they were available even during after business hours for our concerns. We had an issue with the water pump, and we should have called them upfront. We thought that as long as it is not hurting us we dont have to worry about it.I would recommend Lightin RV for tension free rentals and would love to rent through them again.

What a delight this experience was for us. We wanted to rent an RV for an adventure we took to South Carolina to visit our ancestors graves. It has truly been a pleasure to work with lightnin rental over the last 5 years. Myhusband and I came to them as newbies never ever owning or renting a travel trailer and we wanted to experience it as we were no longer fans of a tent. They invited us to come in for a review of the type of trailers that they had which we did, and we settled upon the smallest one which was the wolf pup. we traveled in the wolf pup twice and decided it no longer fit our needs so we went up to the next size which is the 24-ft. it satisfied our needs tremendously and we have used it the last two years in a row for our yearly family camping trip. lightnin continues to provide superb service and their customer relations are second to none. They make sure that even if you are a seasoned renter or a newbie that each part of the travel trailer is explained to you so that youll feel comfortable when you leave their lot. we look forward to our continued future relationship with them.

Went to their dealership to inquire about their services. I asked whether they sold or bought RVs and also about their rates and explained that we were shopping around and thought it might be a good idea to rent a unit we were interested in buying. The young man who was taking care of us told us they only did business in rentals and gave us a price sheet. He was extremely helpful and courteous! I thought their rates were very high but thought it would be a good idea to see what they looked like on the inside. That apparently angered one of the other salesman who basically told us since we werent interested in renting today that we need to come back when we were ready. But it was not said in a courteous manner and we were very insulted. As a result we would never rent from this company and think that particular salesman needs considerable training in customer service.

GREAT BUSINESS! I rented a 2019 Thor Four Winds 30D for a family adventure to Florida. Great vehicle for the trip. Could sleep so many but we had only one adult, 2 kids, so it was very roomy. The RV was immaculate and in great condition. Fridge, microwave, A/C, DVD/Bluray – all we needed. Beds were very comfortable, especially the master. My first time with an RV, but Lightnin RV had a great orientation and were available for any questions along the way. Ride was a bit noisy, and something inside rattled a bit on the road, but that may be any RV, idk. The terms of the rental were clear and fair. Base price of $1,110. I predicted 1600 mi and was almost exact, which meant 1200 mi at $.39 per mile, or $470 upcharge. $35 for bike carrier, $50 for winterization and $40 for pre-paid dump. Total was $1800. About the same as if I flew and stayed in hotels, but much more fun. $1000 deposit was promptly refunded. Thank you Lightnin RV!

Lightnin Rv was everything they advertised on their website! They explained everything about the Rv clearly. We had a few troubles on our trip but they took care of us upon our return. The LRV team really know their business. From the moment we stepped in the shop to pick up the RV for our trip they made us feel real comfortable with the ins and outs of the vehicle (which was great as this was our first experience actually driving an RV). They were super efficient in both the check in and check out process. They were extremely patient in answering all my questions and even listening to my dumb camp stories. The one time I had to call them, Steve (the owner) walked me through how to turn the navigation device back on. The whole family thoroughly enjoyed our maiden RV experience and the LRV team is a big part of making that happen. All our future RV experiences will start with LRV. .
