I was in a bind because my manufacturer pushed back my ship date on some mirrors. After finally shipping Tuesday, They were supposed to deliver Wednesday per the tracking info but wound up sitting in this facility the entire day. I called to check on the progress and the woman in customer service told me it was shipping Thursday. That wasnt going to work because it would miss my truck going to Tennessee in the early am. So she helped me set it up for me to pick up. My vendor agreed to release it to me and they told me I could pick up between 5pm and 6pm. When my driver got to the facility to pick up the material, he was greeted by someone who was very rude to him and told him that theres no way hes getting his material. I couldnt imagine treating my customers like that when its clearly in the facility and just needs to be put on a truck.After hearing this I called the person who told me I could pick my material up. They said they remember me and they will call to get it straightened out. After being on hold for a very long time she comes back to me and says that they will not be letting my driver pick up our material.I am very disappointed that one Averitt employee with a bad attitude has so much control over this company that they could ruin our plans to get our customer their material in a timely fashion. It make US look bad and unlike Averitt, thats important to us.After paying a driver for 4 hours of labor, paying a fee for change of possession, and just the time I spent trying to get this all set up, I am not a happy customer.

I would have given 5 star if it wasnt for that operation manager Darrell. He just does not know how to talk to people. He definitely dont have the temperament for management.He is a good worker bee but an absolute terrible manager. This guy reminds me of my grandfather...WORK SHOULD NOT BE FUN, IF YOURE HAVING FUN THEN YOU ARE NOT WORKING. which is such a none productive way of thinking. The company, staff and the rest of management seems friendly and ready to help which is a direct contrast to Darrell. So sad.

The most awesome people and place to be employed. My husband has been here for a little less than a year now and we have had no problems so far. Everyone is very helpful, kind courteous and friendly. Its very important that the wives are able to talk to them about everything. Takes a lot of stress off the drivers as well as the family as a whole. Im a solo OTR driver. Atlanta isnt the easiest place to find parking. The guys here let me park in an out of the way spot. ALL of the Averitt crew were so nice. They checked on me every so often & even offered to order a pizza for me! It was like having big brothers & SO appreciated!!!
