Love how committed and caring the staff are! They really care about their constituents! Planning is such a big concern for them so that all those in their care have their needs attended to. The home and facilities that take care of those in need are treated with such care and love!! Thanks to all who give so much to the quality of life to those that they care for.
This company is ran very unprofessionaly the director goes off of rummers she heres without even looking at the evidence my brother used to work for these people and they denied him 2 promotions due to rummers honestly a company ran by people who act like a bunch of highschool kids should not be running a company that deals with clients with developmental disabilities so if youre looking for a job working with developmentally disabled adults dont work here there are way better companies out there if you want my opinion this place needs to be shut down

Terrible death trap of a business.
First off they people who interviewed me where extremely nice but hard to get in contact with, or answers about my position. I didnt even know I was hired for the longest time. When I started working there I shadowed in one house and the couple on the other side lied to me, so I would be regular staff in their house. They told me the other houses were physically and mentally abusive. I have been to just about 85% of all the other houses and didnt have a single problem at all. while working there people started slacking off and notpulling their weight as staff so I was forced to do more work. Some how with all that I still got bitched at for not doing my job. Other staff subbing in asked me why I do so much... Also with working there in the house I had my personal belongings gone though, and some of my stuff stolen. Even the staff admitted to taking my items after lying about it they still never gave me back my belongings or apologized. I had two staff members inappropriately contact me after hours with some aggressive text messages and non stop calling for a while. Training was really bad too. I didnt feel safe using a lift to help one person out of bed, but no one seemed to care or even offer help unless I asked, in which they really did nothing. Also the pay is really sketchy. I was there for several months and people who started after me doing the same job started off making more $ than me. I asked if I could get paid $10 ( I started at $10 ) instead of 9.50 after I get my cna in a month and go back to being a sub. The answer was no, yet someone who has been there for less time than me (male sex) no finished education or certification told me he started at 10.50. There is an excuse for everything in the company it seems, and you will work like a dog if people see how hard you work, they think they can slack off because you will pick up the slack. I also made reports to people about how the consumers are having their food, house items, such as cleaning products, laundry soap, dishes, towels, and sometimes personal belongings taken from them and not returned, and nothing has been done about it. People use the consumers and the vans to do personal things like pay bills, give friends rides, and things for their family, and then they say it counts for their community outing, which the consumers never get out of the vans. Also at one house, the people in wheelchairs never really got to leave and I think its because some staff treat them as if they are an inconvenience when you can easily get a non wheel chair user out of the van quicker. I scratched one of the vans and lost my driving rights after I told people before I cant drive well and needed more practice. Since then the consumers never really leave the house, and I feel its making them very anxious, and depressed. Pretty much no one cares because at the end of the day staff just want a pay check or whatever else the company gives them for free. Never did I have a problem caring for any of the residents, its just problems with upper management, and other staff members.
This place is for the dogs. The employees are mean and very extremely racist there isnt one supervisor who and race. It was a black guy who was very good but they got rid of him because of his race said the human resources manager. Her name is Adriane Murry. She was mean and rude never return ppl calls but send mean nasty email. They try and get a lot of employees so they can fire them fast.This is one evil place to work for I would suggest working for a farm milking cows before applying for this got. No one gives ppl a call back to save their own lives. And also theyll say they paying u but they will find an exuse not to pay you the money they promised you
Do not work here. Horrible pay and they will place you with violent patients. Just babysit instead.
My son was a consumer, in the Iola location. The only reason they get 1 star is cuz negative 4 stars isnt available. The staff yelled at him, was nasty and rude, Condescending and patronizing. Their staff is hired right off the street, with no training or education in disabilities. My son has a traumatic brain injury, cerebral palsy, seizures among other stuff. When I sent him to CLO, the first thing I said is he needed to get to a dentist asap. I called several times to remind them. It took 2 YEARS for them to finally get him to the dentist. Then they would forget to take him to appointments. The staff refused to help him brush his teeth and he is unable to do it alone. Needless to say, at 25 years of age my son ended up having to have all his teeth pulled. Then they lost his dentures and wouldnt replace them. When I got my son back, his triglycerides were so high, and nothing had been done about it while in their care. Now, because of that, he battles from chronic pancreatitis. A very painful and potentially deadly disease.He has nightmares, and has had for the two years hes been home from CLO. I wouldnt send my dog to this place! I wish so badly Id have read an honest review like this before I sent my son there. My son tried reaching out to child and family services. But the staff covers one anothers butts. So much more went on, but itd be a book.

I didnt like the fact that I had a 1pm interview with the director of nursing, I actually waoted 45 minutes before she ce out to interview me, she never apologized, after a 40 minute dialog, she told me she would send me a response via email soon, after 10 days and another job offer I called talk with her nurse ask if she could have the DON could please call me... 8t has been 3 weeks, she never responded back as she said, even to say No. I ask her during the interview if it was my age to let me know so I wouldnt waste my time, and the job was listed on Craigslist the following few days again after we had interview. .this is no way to conduct business. .Walterine K.Banks
