I don’t usually do reviews, but these guys are super cool. Great personalities, cool people…We had a broken side view mirror and the mirror came off in the car wash.Not only did he go find and give us our mirror back- he let us go through one more time.Also to mention- we got the most expensive wash… so yeah… we did that twice 🤣

We have a monthly membership and it is so worth it! I dont have to worry about wasting a wash if its going to rain and it is easy to just pull up to the gate and drive through! Free vacuums are so much better (stronger + faster) than the hand vac at home!

I will choose another car wash as this one leaves hard spots all over the car which are very noticeable on black paint.

My trans friend came here today to get a car wash, and instead she was laughed out of your establishment by the cashier because. She was humiliated, and I don’t see how an “accepting” town like LFK can still have room for this kind of bigotry.

The GM refused any responsibility for the damaged that happened inside his car wash. The employee that witness the incident omitted to the dryers doing crazy things to vehicles. The GM refused to send the video from the cameras only pictures he picked out and zoomed in out to fit his story. Do not use this car was if you like your vehicle. Hope the owner enjoys the law suit coming cause I’m not letting this go!

From the moment I drive up I was impressed. It looked clean and neat. The cashier was so super friendly. That is much appreciated these days! She walked along side my vehicle which was super dirty as it was going through the wash and when it was finished, she told me they were sending me through again because my wheels were still dirty. I’ve never had a car wash pay attention like that. I highly recommend Tommy’s and I’ll be returning!

Small hiccup going through using the app the first time. Pulled up my info but not my subscription, which I had set up before leaving for the wash. No big deal as they figured it out pretty quick. I got the works. That line doesnt stop moving! Pretty impressed with the cleanliness it gave my car. Two things to consider with an suv...backend still has dirt suds and maybe wipe back wiper bracket before bagging it as its still dirty. I still give it 5 stars because it was 40 degrees, sunny but with snow still on the ground.

Staff is not very helpful, management is rude and inattentive. (Jamel is kind, helpful, and chooses to wear a face mask.) They about hit me with the lift gate when I went through the wash one day. Poor value, most team members never wear masks. Go to club car wash instead.

Hiqh quality wash and nice vacuum setup. Subscriptions a bit steep for the simplicity - would love to have one I could share with my wife, since wed probably only do a wash a month for each of us.

Went through and paid for the works and in the process one of my side mirrors fell off (had previously been damaged) went back to tell the employees and they sent us through again from our inconvenience

Works well, but blow-dry doesnt get back of car and the water spots, so I have to manually dry that part.

Tommys is an excellent place to have your car washed. You can get various monthly subscription packages or pay as you go. There is even a subscription pay as you go so you can drive in as needed without needing cash or interaction -- quite nice in this pandemic.

After going through once my tires were still dirty looking. They let me go through again and they were just slightly better. Im paying for the top package and feel that is unacceptable. Hopefully it will get better or I will switch to the club car wash!

And their free vacuums work like my shop vac. So many times free vacuums are just awful. There place is clean and does a wonderful job even on bug spots.

Best car wash in lawrence

This is my go to car was in Lawrence because it is big enough to fit my full size truck without shutting my mirrors. I also think the lower end washes do a better job than other places. The employees seem to be friendly and helpful. Finally, Tommys offer free vacuums.

Love this place! Really love having unlimited car washes since Im traveling on gravel roads all the time. Employees are amazing. They have even told me to run my car through again just because my wheel wells still had a bit of dirt. My rear wiper arm got damaged going through once and they were willing to pay for it which is rare for car wash companies. Now they always put a plastic cover over my wiper and no issues since.

This wash does an excellent job. They accept dually pickups as well.

The outside of the car looks great. The vacuums worked great but the highlight if my visit to Tommys was the automatic floor mat cleaners.

Tommy’s is the best car wash in Lawrence hands down. Car came out of the wash looking better than when I bought it from the dealership. The staff are very helpful/friendly. The vacuums and mat washers are second to none as well!

Didn’t really care for the car wash. Left dirt on my car and the vacuums seemed to barely work. Plus it was cold outside and windy and one of the staff members was using a power washer a couple stalls over. The spray was getting all over me and my freshly washed car. He could have waited until we left so that it didn’t get all over our car and me.

Started to notice scratches on my hood. So before I went the next time I took pictures of my hood. Sure enough a new scratch. Canceled my subscription instantly.

Great service, I received the cheapest wash & was very impressed with how shiny my car was! Also loved the $5 kit that you can get by the vacuums. Caden was so kind to take my trash for me while he was emptying out the others. Overall very happy!

BEST car wash in town. Convenient, clean, monthly option, friendly staff. It’s nice to have an alternative in this side of town. Hurricane isn’t even in the same league as Tommy’s Express. I sound like I work here but I don’t. I just love a clean car and this place delivers.

Worth the money. Best car wash in Lawrence. I have tried their competitors in town and not one of them makes my car look as good as Tommys. The vacuums are free like the others in town however, Tommys has a floor mat washer that works really well.

Free vacuum free matt washer. And best deal for carwash if you subscribe to a monthly plan. I go at least twice a week now. My ride looks nice.

After the most expensive carwash, the bugs on my car didnt go. After paying $20, you kinda expect a fully shiny exterior. However, It was not even close.Edit:Gave it one more try and got the monthly pass for $32 including tax. This is way more worthy than the single $20 car wash and you can go through the wash multiple times until you are satisfied.

Update (Feb 1, 2021): Was contacted by management (Tyler). The explanation for why cars with pay per use accounts have to be buzzed through instead of automatically be allowed to enter actually made sense. They are working on a system to mitigate that. They apologized for the episode. Apologies go a long way with me. Will continue to use.Update (Jan 29, 2021): Will be taking my business elsewhere. My app set up does not allow for automatic pass through as it did before. Apparently, when I changed my vehicles to pay per use I have to be manually sent through. I was not aware of this. All I know is that when I go, I sit there and wait while other customers, including those that pay at the window are able to go ahead of me. After doing this a fair number of times I asked about it and was given the above explanation and told sometimes I am not seen because they are doing other things, and that essentially, and I quote: Its just a carwash. Well they just lost three vehicles worth of business.Previous review:This car wash does not clean as well as Hurricane down the street. The max is two dollars more expensive, yet It does not clean the tires or the back of the vehicle as well as Hurricane. Admittedly, Hurricane does have a guy with a pressure wand that goes over your car before you go through. I just took my wifes care through Tommys and there was still dirt/mud on the back of the vehicle. This was loose material that should have easily rinsed off. I will say that Tommys vacuum machines are much better that at Hurricane. The staff at Tommys is friendly. That is why three stars and not two.

I rarely let anyone else handle my car but Caden was amazing. He was so polite and professional it blew me away. That boys manners are gonna take him a long way. Such a sweetheart!

I drive for a living so I have to wash my work car weekly. Um. Can I say that I love this car wash? It’s everything I’ve dreamed of. They also let you vacuum your vehicle for free when you’re done.

I live in MO. For what I paid here, they would have came and dried my windows, washed my mats and been friendly to us at least. I was expecting some service. I had to run my mats through multiple times, while the attendants stood around talking with each other, other than that, it was a good experience.

I was very satisfied with the job done on my first visit. So much that I went back a week later with my other car. The second visit changed my mind.At first, I liked that their brushes were fluffy cloth, like microfiber, instead of the standard dense brushes. However, these cloth brushes catch grit from other vehicles and scratch the next one through the wash (mine). They also grab onto any existing imperfection and rip fairly large chips from the paint.There were bits of the brushes all over my car after I went through the wash, and very many large paint chips leaving fresh bare metal behind on the hood and roof. Ive takek this car through cheaper, rougher washes countless times with no paint chipping.I do not feel comfortable taking either of my vehicles through this car wash in the future.Job done on my new car: Five starsJob done on older car with unavoidable rock chips: One star.

They cant do split payments and add tax to there wash. Its not a set price. But simce I was brand new they gave me a free wash since the car wash on Haskell by quick trip has a way better deal

I have a monthly membership of their most expensive wash. I have washed my car 5 times at the new Lawrence location so far, and I have never had a clean rear/bumper!!! Never. I drive a small sedan too! It does a good job elsewhere, but they need to fix it so it actually cleans the back of vehicles. My wife’s suv had the same issue. If they are unable to get the car wash to clean it, then they should have a worker spraying the back of the vehicle with a power washer, as I have seen other car washes do. The monthly payment plan is a good deal... would be better if it actually cleaned an entire car though. No way would I pay full price for a wash here. I would have been very upset and would have requested a refund after the first wash and would have never returned. For the full price of a single wash I would demand my car be cleaned... entirely.

Fastest carwash Ive ever used. If you have the app, you can just jump in-line and there system just lets you in. With two app lanes and one for cash customers there usually is no waiting at all. I commonly run through on my way to work with no problems.

The price is very reasonable and depending on the frequency of your carwash, the packages here get more and more economical. Added to that is the ease of using the mobile app for it.Recommended!

I bought the lower end wash because I just had some bird droppings and some dust on my brand-new car (2 weeks). The car wash did NOT remove any of the bird droppings. I went right back and they said it was because I bought the low end wash. They gave me a free next-level wash and it still didnt remove them. The car had only been dirty for one day! This place is a waste of money.

This car wash has the glamour and glitz but lacks on actual performance. The prices to wash your individual car are sky high and honestly the wash was not worth the price at all. It looks fun. Lights are cool but wash is the main purpose. The blow dryer at the end is about as good as the other thirty car washes in Lawrence that have been around for thirty years, figured this one be good being new n all but wrong. I like the $5 wash on holcomb side of Lawrence the best. It doesnt require selling both kidneys for a suboptimal wash
