The atmosphere of Star is a really great and friendly one, however, they do stay extremely booked up! Call ahead in plenty of time! They offer several services and good prices.
Went with my daughter and grandson. We had pedicures and thoroughly enjoyed it. Star Nail employees are very good. Friendly pleasant service. Highly recommend
Stunning place!!! Lisa is wonderful they are friendly and sweet and if you are in a hurry they can get it done fast and your nails will still be perfect!!! I will never go anywhere else!! I drive 40 miles just to go there from where I live but its well worth it!!!!! Love them!!! Highly recommend!!!
They seem to only be friendly to, and recognize certain customers by name upon entry in their facility.
Great service. Nice people.
Despite the 30 min wait beyond my appointment time I was pleased. Honestly the best my nails have been done since moving to Mississippi a year ago. Lucky did my nails. Since they are my real nails with an overlay Iβm very picky, but he took very good care of them. A little pricey - fill cost as much as what most would pay for a βFull setβ but it was worth it.
Very disappointed in finished productFelt very rushed
Nails didnt last 24 hours before they start coming off π‘
Kind staff. Prices are too high. Both my nails and feet are not the quality I expected for the money π
Great service and lovely employees!

Ive been a customer there for over 10 years and they have always given great service. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Reccomend 100 times.
Poor Customer Service.
They were efficient and did a good job with my granddaughters Mani/ pedis.
Iβve been here multiple times just to give them a fair chance and everytime they look awful. theyβre always an odd shape and i always have to redo them at home. i went yesterday and came home and had to refile and repolish them completely. overall i do not recommend and am not happy with my nails
Used to be great service here. Its now very poor. Everybody rushing to get it done so they can get to the next person. I felt this way last few times I stopped by but thought it would get better. Today I decided I wont waste another penny at star nails.
Very relaxing environment. Great pedicure and manicure
My mom and I were out of town and decided to get our nails done at Star Nails. When we arrived the parking lot was jammed packed they were so full, so we assumed it would be a good place since they were so busy. We each got the manicure with dipping powder. My mom had to switch to five different chairs while getting her nails done because they kept moving her around to different people. We got done and went to pay. It was then that the lady told me it was $60 for mine alone just for the dipping powder and manicure. I asked why in the world it was so expensive, because where we are from, dipping powder and manicures are included and the price is normally $35. The lady told me that it is $45 for dipping powder and $15 for the manicure and then prodeeded to tell me that if I am unaware of the price that I should probably ask next time. Keep in mind, the prices are not posted anywhere in the salon. So I asked to see the price sheet and she shares with me that the dipping powder isnβt even on the price sheet because the sheet hasnβt been updated. Talk about pissed. I told her that where I live, I couldβve gotten dipping powder, a manicure, a pedicure, AND a free glass of wine for $60. She then tells me that every place is different. I was shocked. Not to mention we were in there for a total of three hours just to get a manicure. Then my mom gets ready to pay and hers is $65.. $45 for dipping powder, $15 for the manicure, and an extra $5 because she got a French manicure instead of just a full color... keep in mind, thatβs less powder they are having to use than if you wouldβve gotten a full color. Needless to say, we will not be coming back. We were not impressed.UPDATE: after exactly one week of getting our $60 manicure/dip done at star nails, my mom has one chipped nail and I have two chipped nails. Again, I highly suggest taking your business elsewhere.
Experienced
Wonderful job and service people very friendly especially Alora
So I have gone to Star Nails a few times, and if I go again itβs only for a manicure. So, I decided to just get a pedicure, the young girl doing it was very inexperienced and rude. I donβt think she still works there, so they did fix that issue. Next, i went to get my eyebrows waxed, well the wax was way way to hot. It burned my skin and left marks under my brows for 3 weeks! I told the lady afterwards that my face was burning and it was very very raw, and she told me to just a cream on it, when their wax was too hot in the first place. I had to go to the dermatologist, and the dermatologist told me the wax was to hot, and I had an allergic reaction also.
We came to this place on a recommendation from family members that live nearby. My family has moved from Laurel to a big city and get the dipping powder manis every 2 weeks where we live. My daughter and I have been getting dipping powder for 1 1/2 years and we pay $35. This place charged us $65 each for the EXACT same thing! There are NO pricelists posted anywhere and we were later informed the brochure price list isnβt up to date. When I asked how much the dipping powder was I was told $45. No one bothered to tell us the manicure was extra! The staff is VERY rude with the exception of the grandmother. The employee doing nails next to me (which I hadnβt said a word to) made a comment to me about how soaking polish off in a bowl of acetone is quicker than doing the foil wraps, and I explained to her that where I normally go, they do the foil and itβs done in about 10 min. She said βWell this is how we do it here!β And then when we questioned the charges for the manicure when we checked out, we were told βIf youβre concerned about the price you shouldβve asked before we started. Everywhere is different!β Wow!!! I donβt remember Mississippians being so rude! I tell people all the time one of the things I miss most about living in the South is the Southern Hospitality! You people need to learn the Southern ways or move along. This is NOT how you treat customers!
Best place in Laurel for nails. Hands down.
Loved the nails I got but I was just not a fan of how thick they were
THE BEST N TOWN
They are rude as hell when u are trying to let them know of a mistake, especially Lisa. They treat the white people better than they do the black customers. This is the second time this has happened. My money is just as good. Lisa has very nasty attitude.
Love it
One of the worst nail salon experiences Iβve ever had. When we got there and signed in we were the very next 2 people on the list so we were sent back to sit in the pedicure chairs. We waited for an entire hour in the pedicure chairs before anyone even came over to us. While waiting in the chairs one of the women working there came over and yelled at a young guy in front of everyone while he was in the middle of doing another womanβs pedicure about how he messed up on someone elseβs nails. Very unprofessional. Finally someone came over and turned only 1 of our tubs on to soak. I sat there for an additional 30 minutes with no water. 3 people came in after we did and they had already started on their nails. When someone finally came over to start on mine, it was the guy who had just gotten yelled at about how he messed up painting someoneβs nails. It was one of the worst pedicures Iβve ever gotten. It was rushed and took about half the time of everyone elseβs. My nails look absolutely horrible. I had to go to a salon in Hattiesburg and get them repainted. $85 for a horrible experience. Will not be going back.
My favorite in and out nail salon in Laurel. Been going to Lisa for years. Absolutely adore her.
Nice clean, atmosphere, with friendly employees that give you a relaxing experience.
I work here. love it.
So rude! I wont be back! I sat there for 3 hours and they never started on our pedicures! As I went to leave because waiting until they were closing is ridiculous all they did was take off old polish and walked off! one of the workers kept talking about me after I offered to even pay for the pedicure they didnt even attempt to do! They are far from professional! And I wont be spending my money there anymore! Ill go where Im appreciated as a customer!
The ladies there are amazing. And they actually carry one a conversation with you while doing your nails.
Nice and clean. The workers were nice.
Lisa is the best!!! Lashes, eye brows, & nails see Lisa!
