Just picked up our 2010 Toyota minivan after an oil change service. We hadn’t had our vehicles serviced here for a long time, but we thought we’d give this place a go since it’s within close proximity to our house. I called about a week ago to check their hours and pricing (was quoted between $50-$60 for a synthetic oil change). Upon dropping the car off, we double-checked the pricing and were quoted $60. Upon picking up the car, the price charged was $89. We have never been charged that high for an oil change, even at the dealer. The reason for the price difference was for an extra quart of oil and a different kind of filter (?). How could a mechanic not know how many quarts of oil are required given that all the vehicle information was provided? Also, when asked why we were not contacted for the price difference, he showed my husband a video of his granddaughter playing. So random and so irrelevant!! This to us is not a sound business practice. Take your business somewhere else where better business ethics is practiced!1/13This is a response to the owner’s communication. We are clearly aware that oil change estimate does not include taxes and other disposable fees. However, oil change is something where the estimate should be pretty precise given the model year and make of the vehicle. Should not go from $50-60 to $89. Also, we’ve had hundreds of oil changes between numerous vehicles and multiple mechanic shops and never had such a discrepancy with oil change pricing.As far as your efforts to keep a good relationship with your customers, we too hope as such with businesses we choose to patronage. However, completely dismissing our question of why we were not contacted and instead sharing your family videos does not suffice as trying to build good relationships with customers.

I have been taking my cars to DJ Auto Specialist for more than 15 years. I have never been dissatisfied with their quality of work. I never feel like I’m being ripped off and I drive a Mercedes. Ive been using DJs since getting my used car in 2017. They were able to do the required maintenance to get it fully operational and up to state standards, as well as performing a state inspection. All the staff is extremely helpful, friendly, and skilled. Highly recommend to anyone in the Laurel/Maryland City area for an oil change, state inspection, or whatever maintenance you need.

I never know how to start these, maybe I should read someone else’s and learn. I was referred here from another mechanic to get my MD inspection (I’m from VA, the MD inspections are silly). Last of the month type stuff, needed some minor repairs ASAP. These guys gave me a great price and really worked with me to make sure I ended the weekend in success. What an awesome bunch of humans who really know what they’re doing. I highly recommend this place, give them a shot if you don’t believe me.

Unbelievably sincere customer service. Took my Subaru in for repair based on their reviews. I normally dont trust reviews that sound too good to be true. I have had a lot of work done on my 3 vehicles at several local repair shops and have never gone back to any of them. I most definitely will be going back to DJs. I am already planning my next visit as I still need more work done.

DJ’s has been my favorite mechanic for years. They have exceptional character and integrity when you work with them. They check to make sure manufacturers suggested maintenance is carried out if needed. They do not suggest services without having a reason. My favorite garage.

Just had my third vehicle inspected. I have had minor things fail every time. I do the repairs myself. Come back and pass after. (pending 3rd) The price they offer on repairs is good. Main point I like with these guys vs the others is the feedback AND there is little wait compared to other shops. So far its been same day every time. Highly recommend. Its probably good to call ahead.

The staff here is great! They took care of my inspection and other things that needed to be fixed the same day. I never felt like they were trying to hustle me, instead they looked to save me money where they could. Ill definitely be back for any future needs involving me vehicle.

DJS is wonderful. It is a small shop, but that is part of what makes it so wonderful. The prices are fantastic and the work is divine. I regret not trying them sooner! I took my car in for the state inspection (which was only $20!) and had to have some work done to get it to pass, but they finished everything in one day. They are very personable and I highly recommend going to them for any work you need done!

Dropped my car off the have the brakes replaced on my 2011 Camaro. The service was quicker than I expected. The reason for only 2 stars is because I spent $300 for my brakes and it didnt include adjusting the parking brake. This is the first time that has happened

Honest quality repairs for a fair price and done quick!

I was referred by a friend to Dj’s Auto a month ago. I needed to have my vehicle inspected for the MVA. Upon arrival I was pleasantly greeted. I was briefed on the process and the timeframe to complete the inspection.The overall experience was absolutely wonderful! The owner as well as the mechanic, made my experience stress free. They dropped me off at the nearest coffee shop to wait until my car was ready. It is apparent to me that customer satisfaction is their top priority. I highly recommend anyone who is in need of automotive services to visit this shop.

On my way out the door last week, complaining to a neighbor that I had an air leak in a tire and had to go get it fixed. She suggested D.J.s as they had done work for her a couple of times and she was very happy with them. I went and they fixed the tire right away and recommended I replace two tires that were getting bad. No pressure, just whenever I wanted to do it. I called back this week and they ordered the tires and put them on the next day. Very professional and great customer service.

I usually don’t write reviews, but had to share after receiving great service. I was told by Jiffy Lube that I needed transmission service and was quoted for about $125. I went to DJ’s and found out I didn’t even need the service. DJ’s would’ve been cheaper than Jiffy Lube anyways. They could’ve easily done the job and taken my money, but they decided to be honest and won themselves a loyal customer. I’ll be back when my car actually needs repairs.

They used to be the best. Now they rate the worst. I waited days for any estimate that never happened. They were told the problem and never fixed it. They had us pick up a broken car. Very sad to see that they went from 1st to worst in 2 years!

A couple years ago I brought a car in for a safety inspection. I always fear when I do this that its a way for the inspector to drum up business--no problem if theres a real defect, but if they say the alignments off, how am I to know?The mechanic who did the inspections was walking out of the lot for lunch as I drove in. When he saw my cars Virginia license plates, he put two and two together, turned around, and walked back in the shop just as the owner was explaining to me that his mechanic was out at lunch. They did the inspection on the spot. The inspection was fair (I think they found a burned out light, and replaced it for a very minimal charge).
