Alyssa is AMAZING!!! HANDS DOWN BEST IN LAS VEGAS!!! When I came in, I had just left my stylist of 4 years and was in a pretty huge panic mode, not being sure I’d be able to find someone to get my appropriately done for a red carpet premier of a show I’m in, the next day. Not only did Alyssa save the day, she saved my spirit and kept all of my energies positive and left me smiling ear to ear with the best haircut experience I’ve ever had in Las Vegas. If anyone in Vegas is looking for an amazing cut, look no further than Alyssa at American Male!!!!

Im bald but I come here for a beard trim. Decent price and they give me a.little hot towel treatment to help give a little spa flavor with it all. Amanda did a great job for me today.

I take my son (12) her for his haircuts and they always do an excellent job

The owner screamed at my kids. And was cursing at them. Not sure who would support a business that would think this is ok. To speak to children with profanities. She could have politely asked and requested but instead she screamed at us. Would not recommend anyone do business with them. Seeing how she treats people is a testament to her beliefs and management style.

Found my stylist! New to Vegas so I needed to find a great place with an awesome stylist, and Madeleine is truly great! She listened to me and also was very informative on how to style my new cut. She was very friendly while maintaining professionalism. They whole staff seemed awesome and was very friendly. I highly recommend this place. Higher price but totally worth every penny!

Nice place. They do me pretty good there. Ive been here for both a hair cut and beard trim. Probably a dozen times. I havent been going as much due to financial issues. The cuts are expensive but not drastic. Just a cut is like $32. But the whole nines yards is what makes this place special. They always offer you a drink. Want a beer with your cut? Go for it!

Always a great cut. The regular haircut is $32 and the deluxe with the face massage and paraffin wax is $44 or so. Ive had my hair cut a few times by different stylists but Annette is my preferred. She has great advice and taste and can show you how to easily style your hair. They have text reminders for appointments, a massage chair, and drinks available. The receptionist Julia is quick, friendly and always on point.

I have been going to American Male for more than 8 years and have always had a GREAT experience. The pampering is beautiful and the so are the ladies. Great conversation during the appointment. I am going again tomorrow, cant wait. I have read some of the posted negative reviews and I cant imagine what planet those guys are from, but here on this earth the experience at American Male is hard to top. All I can say is maybe they were expecting a different kind of service. Maybe they needed a message parlor, too bad. As for me I will be there tomorrow for my wonderful pampering!

Completely satisfied with the service and treatment I received. Just moved to Vegas and left my Barber that I’d be going to for the past 12 years. It’s hard to find a spot that’s in between a Salon and not an traditional barber shop. Booked an appointment with Annette for full service hair cut, beard trim and hand detail and everything was top notch. I will be coming back and recommending this place and Annette to my friends.

I got their works package for $42. For me it was totally worth it. Madeleine gave me a perfect haircut and new style and the facial massage and paraffin hand treatment was so relaxing. Booked my next appt before I left. Best service Ive had at a salon in years

System was confusing, personally had a bad experience. Granted I had a very old gift card, but I felt like the communication of what to expect was very poorly given to the customer. I ended up paying more than I thought I would.Rita is very talented, these haircuts are high end. It’s honestly the only thing keeping my experience from souring out to a measly one star. The way some of the staff communicated was kind of stressful, critiquing each other while I was mid-haircut. Not something a client really cares to hear, made me uneasy. Advice for home care was good, again I’m grateful for Ms Rita.If you go, be very clear about what you want BEFORE hand and if you’re more cost conscientious, be sure to confirm price upfront to avoid being blindsided. If you don’t mind spending more on a haircut it’s fine, that being said the system should still be clear and communication to customer more precise.Personally don’t think I would ever return or recommend to a friend.

My husband went in and asked the front desk person if they are a barbershop they said yes all the stylists are licensed barbers, he then asked if they use a straight razor for shaves and she responded yes to that too. He then made a 3:15 appointment and they ran 45 min late after getting in a chair and explaining what he wants done the stylists says we aren’t barbers and we don’t have razors he then explained to the stylist that the girl in the front said otherwise and he’s now been waiting for so long she said oh she doesn’t know anything and they didn’t even apologize. Terrible.

Great expensive looking haircut. Dont bother with beard work.Its a stylist and not a barber. So if you need advice for a comb over this is your place. Everything else go to a barber. I put three starts simply because they treated the beard like any other hair. All the lady did was take clippers to it. No blade, no guiding, no layering. Had a rash from the clipper on my neck for two days. I paid 54 plus 10 tip. Over all not too happy. Had to go to a barber to get my beard fixed. Only going here for haircuts and free beer.

My first trip to this salon was decent. The second was a nightmare and received the worst haircut Ive ever had. They were kind enough to offer a third trip free of charge, which turned out to be excellent.That said, I cant exactly recommend this salon as the stylists seem to be very hit or miss. If you do go here, make sure the stylist is paying attention and genuinely listening to your requests.

They are serious about making you look your best. Professional, courteous staff, lots of choices. Rita is my secret weapon!

So Ive been using the American Male for my Hair Salon since they 1st came to Las Vegas and for the last several years my stylist has been Annette and she is amazing and today was just such a cool haircut for my son and I thought I just need to make sure that I give a good review so thank you to the new owners for continuing to keep American Male in Las Vegas and as always thank you Annette for your wonderful job not just on my haircut but on my sons haircut as well.

Got a good cut and utilized some of their other services. Staff was friendly. Will return. Also、 I would recommend making an appointment vs walking in.

Terrible eyebrow wax! Woman took of a chunk of my eyebrows in the middle, made my eyebrows wonky and one side too small!!!! Made me look like an alien. Came here in holiday and on day one they do this. Absolutely fuming. Ive had better eyebrow work in the back street of Cairo. What a disaster.

I have really enjoyed coming here now for the last few months. The staff is friendly and they attend to your needs. The environment there is really nice. I have never had an issue getting an appointment. I would recommend that you call ahead to get one. I have never had luck with just walking in. That said its never been crowded when Ive had my appointment. I really like the treatment you receive while you are there. I have never been rushed and I have always been very happy with my cuts. I go here because its the only place that I found that knew what a gentlemans cut with a hard part were. Im sure that there are many in the LV area but they also were not as classy as this place is.Some nice things about the place:-WiFi and computers while you wait.-Canned soda and other various drinks available while you wait.-Paraffin hand wax-Shampoo before and after cut.-Neck shave-High-end massage chairs-Face massage during shampoo-Very clean and well decorated

Ive been getting my hair cut here at American Male Southwest for almost a year now with Annette. I will say Id highly recommend her to anyone who wants their hair to look A1. Her customer service and expertise is unmatched and I plan on continuing to use Annette at American Male until I move out of Vegas.

Called to schedule an appt a week earlier for my birthday and was told it was 50% off services for birthdays. When it was the day of the appt they said it was a mistake of hairstylist who made the original appointmentAnd could only do 20% off 😒. Had an executive facial which was ok, they did not include the neck and back massage on their online description. I was hesitant about this place due to the previous reviews. Probably wont come back.

My hubby enjoys having his hair done here. I like that I can purchase gift certificates for him but it always seems to take a long time to do that... maybe their system is complicated to use?
