This is ultimately where I ended up after becoming homeless, and the Renewing Hope Program straightened my act out and saw me employed within a week of graduation if *that* long! My volunteer work in the meantime felt meaningful despite the fact that a lot of my fellow homeless really dont act like they appreciate any of it at all.
Clearly dedicated. I & my familys have all been blessed many times in every way needed. Thanks, too all involved... Many times and then many times more. Keep safe.
Dave, Victoria case manager and Manager JD are super awesome. I came to them for help with my domestic violence situation and they really gave me as much help and resources as possible. They also referred me to other helpful services like the Catholic charities food pantry. I was surprised at how good of quality the food was and which they gave me. Finally, a great establishment that really helps people and just doesn’t just talk a good game. God bless all of you!!
Open 7 days a week Catholic charities food pantry I always provide the ample amount to get you through for at least 3 days we got a couple pounds of chicken breast and sauce for spaghetti and beans and pasta will you name it I know Im not going to starve this week thanks to Catholic charities
I worked for them as a donation truck driver from 2006 to 2012. It still is the best job I ever had and all the people I worked for or came in contact with were wonderful. Especially our where house supervisor Diane Hutton!! Robert Garcia 2006-2012
I. Was lost when I got to vegas didnt know were to go were to find good nothing. But then I herd of Catholic charities went there to check it out and found comfort THIS PLACE IS SAFE AND CAN SAVE YOU if you let them help if ur homeless go there it saved my life they can save urs trust me
I cant express enough gratitude for this program and those who help run it. Thank you so so much! This makes a big difference in a home with uncertainty.
The people were super nice and helpful they made us feel happy in not such a happy time for that we were truly thankful

What would we do without them. They provide so many services! From a great pantry with wonderful staff to free English classes. They help you if you dont have money to pay electric or rent. They have a huge service center for the Homeless. Wonderful, caring staff. All of them.
They are friendly and I feel they are organized. They have been providing my house hold with some good stuff.
CATHOLIC CHARITIES of Southern Nevada services deffinitly a lot of people in need. The pavilion, pantry and client services are extremely efficient in the services they provide for guests which also include clothing distributed for people in need. A New navigation center for research in housing and placement. Including program for guests who have a job but no place to live (new).
You all have been so helpful and kind,Thank you !!
The staff was friendly and helpful. The initial phone engagement was professional and very informative.
Hello I am looking for my uncle marshall prince I havent heard from in over 20 yrs I would so appreciate it if someone anyone knows anything about my unc that they could help me out. This is the last known location I know for him to be
This a good place if you need the help. Make sure you read what you need or call and get a list. I took someone who was displaced and they helped them with a hot shower a cot and meals. Helped with finding work and maintaining their independent life after they got on their feet.
Great staff. Friendly people. Bring mask, ID and utility bill. Very helpful every day, but especially in the age of Corona virus.
In the summer the shelter is an ice box. In the winter its a sweat box. You have to sit in the sun for hours until 3pm if you want a good bed. Showers are not required therefore there a bed bug issue., etc.
Due to extreme personal circumstances, I had chance to visit Catholic Charities Food Pantry. I dont know what I was expecting, but the kindness, understanding, patience and compassion that I received was wonderfully surprising. Each and every person was so kind. Explained the process to me twice since it was my first time. I hope that I dont have to be in the same circumstances of having to use their services again, but if I do I know that I will be treated with kindness and respect. When my situation gets better, Im thinking of returning to volunteer. Catholic Charities is a great lifeline and excellent program. Thank you. ❤️
The man who answered my phone call was very helpful in directing me to another organization who could better serve my needs . Very Nice !
What can I say? Other than Thank you! This is a much needed resource for so many people everywhere. And Catholic Charities rocks it! Thank you, Thank you & God Bless you all.
Very nice then do help the people and quality food!!!
I was here for awhile and staff, especially David, were nurturing, professional and treatedthe homeless like HB, NOT TRASH.
The people in this organization are the sweetest angels on feet.
They are blessing for helping everyone and helping me so thankful and appreciated and the experience has got a hundred times better and before that epidemic just want to say cathy thank you
Fine place to give to the homeless
Has a bad reputation regarding the treatment of employees and an extremely high employee turnover especially in the accounting department
Great place for people that need help victor is a great guy.
I was a little disappointed when I drove that far for help. Im a new to Nevada. Just leaving an abusive marriage, I found myself at Catholic Charities. I was turned away because I did not have proof of residence. Even though I showed my ID, Social Security Card and mail that I had received at the address I was staying it was not enough. The young girl at the counter was extremely unprofessional and uncaring. She pointed to the wall and said there was a list that might help me. By the grace of God I am not on the streets but I am still upset at the way I was rudely treated by a Catholic Charities Employee.
Always helpful. Most of the peoples there are respectful and willing to help with a compassionate attitude. Some people there are volunteers who never volunteered before. You can tell the ones who are learning how to volunteer for the first time. But, overall, good service. I am grateful for the resources they offer.
Such a good place to go! When youre already feeling down about not being able to put food on the table, they definitely dont make you feel it!! Such pleasant, understanding, and respectful cordiality to everyone no matter what!!!!!! Really appreciate it. God Bless you all at Catholic charities!!!!!!
This place is a blessing! My husband was just laid off from his job, of eleven years, due to his age. We can come once a month to get food! Susie is a sweetheart and truly cares about me and my family!
Very good services for the homeless.
Usless
Thx for the helping hand during these rough times
I usually go here for the food bank. This particular day I went to get paperwork from the small little welfare office located within the complex. But I felt uncomfortable because I was approached by security as if I was doing something wrong and all I was doing was walking to my location. I understand when dealing with people I dont welfare office a lot of times you run into people who need security to come let them know that they cant do certain things but I was just walking with 8 year old child I was approached. Not really comfortable going up in there for me
We donated canned food to the security guard at the gate and able to get a tax receipt. No need to walk in the building to donate. As a fellow Catholic Im glad to support those in need.
I Volunteer at Catholic Charities Food Pantry, & we work there on the Last Thursday of every month. I LOVE IT! The people that run it, work there, & volunteer there, are SWEET, FUN, & wonderful! WE HELP ALOT of people! And Catholic Charities consists of 7 acres, & MANY Services that Really HELP OUR COMMUNITY! They are Angels 👼😇👼
For anyone lookong for help with the food pantry here are some things you must bring to qualify1.)Valid Nevada ID2.)Proof of address (Dated within the last 30 days)3.)Birth certificates for all the children you are applying for. They allow 5lbs. at the top of your cart 15lbs. At the bottom for fruits and vegetables, 2 meats from the freezer, 1 bread and 1 pastry item. This place is always helpful and staff are very friendly. We were running out of food and we do not get paid until the 1st and they gave us enough to make a few meals to last till then, we are more than grateful! Thank you guys for your help!
People need to hear word of god and forgive for they know not what they do wrong.
Very helpful
Great service
Great place assisting the homeless and people in need .
They provide various sort of resources for homeless as well as family falling on hard times a great resource oh and also has a thrift store thou Ive not used it it another great resource they provide here
Love the services here. Today we went to the foodbank. The lines were long but it moved very quickly. Its also worth the wait. Thank you for all that you do Catholic Charities.
I stayed here when I had no place to go and the staff was great and it was safe if your homeless and need help this is the place to be
I like this place when Im struggling with my food budget. If you go early enough in the month youll get better selection. Just make sure that you get there as early as possible. Get in line at least between 7:15 and 7:45 to get a good spot.
Its ok
Great volunteers. Great great help. Thank you all so much..
The property is HUGE!! Social Services is relatively efficient.. fast getting in & out. They have a big food bank... All kinds of offices and programs to help people.
Does very well for its express purpose. Giving a roof and bed to the homeless. My understanding is that Catholic charities has been there for years. It is the heart of the Circle of Hope. The program is not for everyone but those that are looking to improve their situation can get a lot out of the system.
They have programs to help the homeless here in Las Vegas. Also a good bank.
I went there and filled out all the right paperwork to be put on the late list because i work nights at my job and they said i was good to go. I went to work and when i came all the way down there to catch some sleep before work again the next day, they told me that my name was never put on the list and got turned away. Never again will i go there to rely on help because they obviously dont care about people that work and are homeless
Wish they could figure out how to make the process a little faster. That would help a lot on crowded days. But, overall... I LOVE THIS PLACE. Mostly, I love shopping for my own stuff, like a real grocery store. #Dignity
Best source to help the homeless back into society
I 💘 love, love this pantry, from Pete to the pretty, friendly receptionists to the volunteers and helpers. The food is plentiful, 😋 delicious. These people are a God send. Thank you so much. God Bless😌
Local food pantry for Las Vegas residents. Open on Saturdays as well as Monday through Friday. Bring your ID, SSN card, Recent piece of mail dated within last 30 days. Apply for a Nevada Clarity card as well. Can only go once a month. You pick out your own food her. Up to 5lb. off shelves. 10lb. Produce. One meat item from the freezer. They always give you an extra bag of canned goods. And then after weighing out your food, you get to choose one dessert and two breads. Located in Downtown off Main Street. On a bus line also. Free parking if you have a vehicle also. Helps out when youre in need of groceries.
Make sure to get information on Loving Care or Gentle Touch!!! Look it up!! If you truly want help, Call
Due to a change of management regarding st Vincent studios conflict of interest is still very high between tenant and management. As the New Year begins we will see what kind of repoire actually gets anything accomplished. The social services/client services is always packed as I believe these to be the most frequented ones and not a lot of seating capacity. The dining hall and pantry are adequate but leaves plenty room for improvement from 2-3 years ago. Restructure is vital for understanding needs of the community from this side of town.
Went with a friend for mask very great night enjoyed it all God bless beautiful place to see everyone needs to be there my father loves you
I just came from Catholic charities and the staff was very nice. I like to thank everyone who donated to Catholic charities it helped us alot very much appreciated. I also like to give Ms Lidia who was very generous with her services today. It was such a blessing today thank you all.
Very appreciative of the staffs generosity and sincere concerns... God Bless... Happy New year!!!
Its a wonderful thing that they are doing feeding those who are in need when I first moved out here I did not have any food I was referred to them by a friend they gave me enough food to get by and I can go back every month thank you guys for your service Ill see you Monday for my turkey gobble gobble everybody
Best food bank Ive ever experienced. Its like shopping in a grocery store. You pick out 10 Ibs of food that you want/need, and not just handed a bag or two of things you end up throwing away. Youre also allowed 10 lbs of fruits/vegetables. For those who do not eat animals this is ideal.
Courteous Professional
The help is very minimal. It seems that this resource is made for people that have thrown in the towel and given up. For the people that are still striving to stay in society, you have to repeatedly prove yourself, and instead of help it seems as if it is just more hurdles that you havent quite crossed in order to receive help. Its great for vacationers that have perhaps become stranded and want to return to their home state. But if your planning on residing here, youll probably steer clear of this resource for benefits unseen down the long road.
They are better than most about food prep. Particularly with separation of items so that people with particular problems with some foods can still eat. However I suspect they are cheating the state by double scanning the cards they use to keep track. Ive also found a type of discrimination that disallows someone with a hearing disability from joining their work program.
Worst services ever they charge homeless broke people $5 per meal for breakfast and dinner. They charge $1.25 for each washer machine dryer and sell laundry detergent. No wifi cold shower water the client services will not help in anyway with ID getting mail or finding employment theyll tell you to go to DMV the fit program or help yourself the program for renewal of hope for men is slave labor you have to work for them 6 hours a day 5 days a week for free no pay cannot even look for a job or will be kicked out. then curfew right after work after three months of free work your allowed to seek employment but still have to do he free labor till you find full time work 35+ hours a week and when you find work you have to pay them $200 a month to continue to receive services thy rent apartment on the complex for $400 a month. Catholic charities is a non profit organization its against federal law what they are doing there! Stay away from this place!!!!
A good place to go to receive food when youre short on cash to keep the cupboards full.
Just like prison, but you are free to leave the night shelter anytime. Have to check your bag in and be there by 6:30 to get a bunk. Have to carry your clean clothes in like a refugee. No plastic bags allowed in to carry clean clothes in and carry dirty out after a shower. 4 to 5 hundred men a night, and showers are closed on one side. Can only shower every hr. on the hour, then after 5 to 15 min., they close the only showers left down till the next hr. The staff refer to their homeless clients as in mates, and some staff are confrontational and hostile. I have been using that homeless shelter for over 3 years. Some things are better. I slept on the floor with just my jacket the first two winters. They got rid of the bedbugs and there are enough bunks for about 500 men.
Somebody took the clarity logo and put it on the web with my card will my first and last name they also use all my information with my birth certificate documents so Im not doing the charity for the one with the dollhouse everything is me and its on the block so whoever wants to play my documents break will for you and all the mobile computers and phones you still break Im up to date and I have a good day and Ill see you soon bye for now
Had a good time helping my church family provide socks for those less fortunate.
Cant stand this place. Lived at the shade three for a few months. We ate lunch and dinner here. Soup and bread... a mixture of all kinds of soup. Everyday. Then my dad worked in the kitchen said they fed him steaks and sausage and everything else good under the sun. The men will run you and your child over for a yogurt cup. Glad I got outta there. Never again.
Confusing when you first arrive due to the emense amount of people there who are in need. I was there to get assistance with food from the SNAP program and once I found where I was going, staff made me feel comfortable and explained the procedure to me. But they offer so much more to homeless or others in need. Including, day housing that no doubt saves lives during summer afternoons when the desert heat reaches 115 degrees.
Great resource to the community. They have many programs to benefit from and I highly suggest visiting for yourself.
Not want to help homeless people give them a hard time
DO NOT GO HERE! If you can help it, I BEG you to go to the Salvation Army at 35. W. Owens Ave.
Lived here. Thanks to them for my life, motivation, good health. I never will quit giving a helping hand again!
My fiance and I went to Catholic Charities food pantry the staff was nice but I wasnt able to get a turkey for Thanksgiving because of their guidelines that you would have to be continuously coming in since July 2018 but my car was down so I was not able to drive there for my food pantry I also go to the Christian church closer to home but theyre not giving out turkeys either I do appreciate that they are able to assist me with other types of food then I am able to eat at home with my fiancee I plan to come every month so that I am able to follow their guidelines
Need to do more for the homeless
Great place to eat if your on a food stamp budget. $4 for a large amount of good food. Better deal then any place in town
Great place to go if you are short on groceries. You will need to get a Clarity Card and they will help you with that. Take a current postmarked bill or letter and ID. Very helpful staff
People are super friendly and helpful. Volunteers galore. Great variety of food fresh and canned/packaged. A blessing to those in need.
Good place to go if you need a place to live
I know half the staff and I love them all. They are alwayz helpful for me and anyone else I bring.
They dont circulate the air, people just passing and spreading sickness back and forth from one person to the other and back again looked more like a Hospita and a refugee camp than a shelter. They make you wait in line for hours to get a bed for the night while people show up at the last minute just to cut in line saying their friends were holding their spot such a shame and sad for the people that really need a bed get left out in the cold such a shame to Catholic Charities to allow people to really take advantage of the system like that its not first come first serve its a fine example of its who you know and its the lowest form of low.
I have the red beads to clear glass Krystals Lees August and gold I have red rose white robes and green rope with the rosary in a loved one with the white round club its tight around my right hand that indicates this week where the office is on now the other problem I had with my clarity card is missing and my passport Nevada Smith cell that replaces it its on my right wrist now and that keeps the water power lights and gas going if Im going to Vegas or Im in Los Angeles for safe keeping have a great night thank you and I miss your photos in checked picture taken of me put on your Facebook water license power gas or make a a book or something it doesnt work anymore films SD cards coffee and transferring photos and me or was recording doesnt work anymore thank you have a great night
They have several services here: shelter, pantry, social services, free meals, & others. I use the shelter and meal services. The shelter is cool but sometimes they DONT have a blanket or sheet for you to sleep with. And sometimes they DONT have towels for showers. The food is okay as well. Its free so beggars cant be too picky.
Great Place. Thank you for all that you do and all the services that you provide.
Helping the comunity like no other organization! Thanks for all you do!
Really great people here and they provide a great service. I think its wonderful that this is available to help people in need. Theyre strict on their rules so that they can be sure to help the greatest number possible, but they are very helpful.
I was HOMELESS and A Veteran when several Veteran Agencies refused to help me.Catholic Charities gave me Hope and Vision to get back on my feet. I stayed in the Overnight Shelter for 6 weeks then to the Resident Program for 4 months and on to Single Resident Apartments for 6 months all while staying on Campus. This led to me receiving an Apartment with the Southern Nevada Regional Housing Authority. I am Very Happy that GOD put this AGENCY IN MY PATH.
This is where me and my husband go here to get pantry food. We went here this month people there are very nice
The staff is very friendly its is clean as youre going to get and most of the people there are helping each other so its a good place
I dont really like this place, theres to many people there, I dont like crowds, but if you need help with anything, and food bank, its a great place, just not for me is all, but it can help you out with numerous things, good place
The staff was excellent. Very patient and understanding. Not judgemental.
Long wait, but worth it. I feel great every time I go there.
