This place is amazing. I had the pleasure of meeting both Kevin and Renee, the owners. I enjoyed hearing about the history of how the school was started. I took the Escrima class and everyone was encouraging and welcoming. I will definitely be coming back.

My wife and I vacationed in Las Vegas last March. Whenever I travel I try to find a place to train for an evening. Over the years I have met some wonderful people. The people at this school are at the very top of that list. Their knowledge, expertise and instruction is second to none. They welcomed me to join a regular class and work with their students and I am very grateful for the opportunity. I have been in various schools across the country and I would HIGHLY recommend this school for any age student.

Incredibly patient and thorough instructors. Kevin, Renee, and Isaac are amazing and I could not be happier with the progress my teenage Son is making. Just the difference in his attitude and overall mentality, plus the physicality of the the whole program is what makes this the best Martial arts school in Las Vegas and Henderson area.

I had an experience that was nothing short of amazaing. I was a visiting student from the Eastern part of the country. They made me feel very much at home and taught me many new things during the short time I was there. I could feel the hospitable atmosphere and could tell why some consider the owners family. The students were amazing and amiable, and I felt welcomed by them as well. The material was a fresh change of pace. The style feels a lot more fluid than what I normally practice and got me to focus on other aspects of martial arts that I dont often cover in my own training. I loved the focus of stances and chaining moves that I encountered during my class. Ultimately, it was a nice change of pace that made my vacation that much better. The experience made me wish I lived here so I could train at the school. It was one of the best martial arts class I had in quite some time.

I enrolled my son at the Las Vegas Kung Fu Academy a few months ago to help build his self esteem and build character. My expectations were most certainly surpassed. His Sensei has not only taught him the fundamentals of martial arts, but incorporated positive, lasting virtues and principals for my youngster. Now, my little man is a brave soul and he loves going to his class. Hes in the best shape ever both mind and body and has even earned three belts since he began. Ten stars for a great Kung Fu academy!

Do not spend you money you can fine much better places with much better customer service

Trained here for 6-7 weeks in 2018, and it was certainly a turning point in my martial arts/fitness career in so many different ways. The instructors are top-notch, focusing not only on leading a remarkable program but also setting the stage for the next generation of instructors, encouraging youth leadership and teamwork. Come ready to focus and work hard! I dropped in during my Vegas visit and will be sure to do so every time Im in town. Thanks LV Kung Fu!!

Ive had such a great experience at Las Vegas Kung Fu Academy! I felt weird coming into something like this as an adult, but everyone there made me feel totally comfortable, and at home, instead of like the weird lady in the corner. I have really enjoyed the instruction so far, and everyone is so nice, even the other people taking the class! Im so happy that I came here, and will definitely keep taking classes for a long time.

The Las Vegas Kung Fu Academy was a great place for my son to learn valuable life lessons. He was a very angry child. When his mother and I got divorced, he just got angrier and angrier to the point where we felt we couldnt reach him. We tried everything. Finally, we got him into the Las Vegas Kung Fu academy and he slowly started to get back to normal. He loved it. His whole life changed for the better. He threw himself into it. He is now a very gifted martial artist. Our son could have very easily gone the other way, but with a gifted instructor, his whole life changed. Thank you.

You couldnt pick a better school to begin your martial arts journey. The instructors and students are really positive and want everyone to excel. Whenever I come to class it feels like Im coming back home. My instructors take there time in teaching everything the right way not the fast way. I can also count on my peers for help as well when I need it. Truly greatful to be apart of this school. Thank you everyone !

I have been in and around the martial arts for 30 years and can testify that Mr. and Mrs. Kawada are the real deal when it comes to doing AND teaching the martial arts. They embody the Aloha spirit and run their school with a high level of integrity. They balance the old school methods of Asian training with modern 21st century Western methods. They are open minded to learning which makes them open minded when teaching. They can easily adapt the curriculum to any individuals limitations, needs and goals. It did not take me long as a student to realize that this is a place I want to train in as both a student and an instructor for the long term. It is a true Academy - offering expert instruction in several arts besides Kung Fu. It is a wonderful place for kids and they offer Summer Camps, Birthday Parties, and other special events like movie nights for them. It is EQUALLY a wonderful place for adults who are both new as well as experienced in the martial arts. For people who are new, the instructors and students are very patient in working with you as you learn and for those experienced, your experience is valued and respected. As you search for martial arts training for either yourself and/or your kids, it is definitely a school youd want to put on your list to visit and try out.

We recently bought a groupon for classes for our 4-year old daughter and we are so impressed. The atmosphere is laid-back and welcoming. The instructors emanate love and acceptance and there is tons of positive re-inforcement. Within just a few classes my little ballerina is hooked and her confidence is soaring! Thank-you!

I really love going to class at the Las Vegas Kung Fu Academy! I always fell a little depressed when I have to miss class. Although I know that the class would have made me sore for days. What I have learned so far is that I will never become bored with training because its like studying for multiple phds. There is never a top. Also, there is so much more to learning martial arts then just self defense, The instructors have such a great mix of intensity and humor that it is very serious but not intimidating. All of the students are extremely helpful to new people.Joining martial arts has given me a sense of balance in my life. Where I can set goals for myself and not just waste my life away toiling at my job. I sincerely, recommend the Las Vegas Kung Fu Academy for anyone looking to get in shape an learn a real martial art.

I just found out that the videos of my sons and their teammate performing in competition were used to promote this school on its YouTube channel, and I was very shocked. Why? Because they go to Las Vegas Modern Kung Fu, not this academy. The school logo was on the video with the website link to its kids class in the video description. If thats the way he do the business and he thinks its the right things to do, he knows no shame.------added after response------My argument here is not about filming public performances. There is a difference between showing a video for the sole purpose of the art of kung fu vs. promoting a business. The video was definitely misleading. He certainly posted a video that is promotional that certainly violates peoples privacy not to mention minors. He didnt remove videos after initial request. A simple apology will be appreciated, instead of twisting the point of argument.

My nephew has learned so much by attending classes at LV Kung Fu Academy. To think that I had him start out by giving him a class as a gift to see if he liked it to getting completely involved and learning that Kung Fu isnt just about kicking someones butt, its about learning the art as well as body/mind control and that fighting is always a LAST resort. I especially like how the time is taken with him rather than running classes through like cattle. You dont try to cram several classes in a day just to make more money. Ive had him at another location that did that. Overall, were very pleased.

I just wanted to share what I have gotten out of my training with the Kung Fu Academy. I have been a rather big person since I was in Grade school. I weighed 130 lbs. When I was in 5th grade, but I never thought of myself as being “obese”. But what I thought of myself doesnt really matter. What mattered was that my health was failing. I was diagnosed as diabetic and having high blood pressure. I was tipping the scales at 245 and I needed to do something.I joined the Las Vegas Kung Fu Academy and started attending 3 times a week. I also decided to change my overall eating habits, replacing carbs with a largely paleo diet.At first the workouts were very hard for me to do. I felt embarrassed that I could not keep up with the rest of the class. But for me the pain of being diabetic and fearing that my weight would eventually kill me was greater than the pain of working out. I took thing at my own pace for the first few months of my training.Instructor Kevin is always sensitive to how much a person can do or feel comfortable with but he also challenges you to push yourself just a little out of your comfort zone.I have been working out now at the Academy for 3 months and now I can do 20 pushups, where before I could not even do 1. I feel way more flexible than before and both my balance and coordination have improved.I know that getting to my goals is not going to be easy but I feel that joining martial arts have given me a path to get to where I want to be. The martial arts workout is not like the gym where you have to motivate yourself, but rather its like a group of friends that all have the same goals and are working together, supporting each other and having fun while doing it.Thank you so much Instructor Kevin and Renee for helping strive for goals I never though I could get to before.
