**********SCAM ALERT!!!!******** I went through an entire process with this company thinking that I would easily be placed at a dispensary in my hometown Florida. Highlite Staffing said that it was just 5 easy steps to the process and we would be placed with a company. Those 5 simple steps turned into 10 more steps. They try to keep you in the process by having little competitions. One competition is at the beginning of the process. They want everyone to answer a question about why they are excited to start or expand their career in cannabis. First place gets $500 and the ultimate grand prize winner gets $1,000. They make you believe that its free money just by participating. Sounds easy right? But somehow we never knew who won the competition because each time we think were close to the finish line they throw in another 10 steps. Although being placed was never a guarantee, the level of professional and responsiveness was terrible. Also, paid $100 to be apart of a class and didnt learn anything from it and got nothing out of it. They are preying on desperate and vulnerable people. DO NOT GIVE YOUR MONEY TO THIS STAFFING COMPANY AND DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!!!

Super annoying company that wastes time and money. I took the certificate training and Was part of the first 50 people in Oklahoma to be in the on boarding. Never heard from them again. Sent multiple messages. I understand it’s not a for sure hire but they could of at least messaged back and informed me of the reasons why………. I only worked for Oklahomans for cannabis and helped get sq788 passed.

SCAM!!!!!!!!please do not waste your money or time. they have you pay a minimum $200 for a “training” course. you have two interviews both of which they don’t ask anything about you and last a few minutes. nobody responds to any emails you send. i’ve been “on board” to start work since February and haven’t heard a single thing since. they claim that you work as much as there is demand in your area, but i applied to a dispensary last week and got a call back almost immediately so obviously demand is not the problem.this is a scam, if you want to work in a dispensary just apply to one directly.

I had an interview today 4-7-21 at 12pm. I got into the zoom call early and the lady that was supposed to interview me was late by 5 minutes. The lady got on and added me to the chat i turned on my camera and voice and said hello then she Immediately removed me from the call and ended it. I highly do not recommend this staffing agency

I started taking classes with Highlite last April. I took all three classes, they were very informative. Unfortunately due to Covid everything came to a stop. But thankfully, 3 weeks ago Highlite Staffing circled back around and helped me start my journey in the Cannabis Industry. Im now a Licensed Medical Marijuana Agent for the state of Missouri (which I couldnt have done without them) and working in an amazing dispensary!!! Im so thankful for Highlite Staffing getting me in the door to my dream job!!!! If youre considering making the move and trying to break into the industry, do it!!! They make you sign up for classes that cost money for a certificate and then dont hire you. This fake staffing company should be looked into. I literally started the hiring process with them over a year ago and its slow lots of changes and excuses from the company. Staff are rude if you happen to get anybody on the line when you call. Try calling headquarters for yourself, youll see. And email the lady Nancy Andrade, they are non-responive. Overall terrible company, check my other reviews they all are on the money. I ask that you please dont fall victim wasting your time and money with Highlite staffing, they steal your money and personal info.

I keep seeing Highlite Staffing on job-search apps. Once I looked into it, I found that your REQUIRED to take “Cannabis College” classes. The classes are $100 per course. This doesn’t even guaranteed that you’ll be hired, this is solely to apply.....A hiring company should be PAYING YOU for training, not the other way around. Upon digging around for reviews of the classes, I found a forum on Reddit with almost every review of the college being that it’s nothing special & teaches very bare minimum, common knowledge things.Long story short, this company seems to be nothing but greedy CEOs taking advantage of people who enjoy weed & are out work.

I started the process of working for Highlite in May of 2020. (Yeah smack dab in the beginning of the pandemic.) All of us were just beginning to navigate remote learning. None of us could foresee just how chaotic life would be. The state of Missouri was in the process of granting licenses and dealing with the pandemic and in short it was a mess. Despite all of the delays with the state being way behind on inspections, things started rolling slowly but surely in October. Through out the months of waiting I received updates from Christi and her staff. When Heather came on board in September things started rolling! By November I had my agent card and it was just a waiting game until a crop was ready for harvest. Finally after all the months of waiting I was part of the first staff of Highlite to work on the first legal crop of medicinal cannabis in Kansas City. Its taken a long time but it isnt the fault of Highlite. This is a new industry that is highly regulated and you cant put people to work until there is work to do. If you want to start a career in the cannabis industry without any experience you either have to know someone or get your foot in the door with Highlite. Im super excited for the opportunities Highlite has in store for me!

Checking the credentials of those who rate Highlite Staffing with 1 star is enlightening, because they have zero history. Paying $99 to our affiliate, Cannabis Community College, for mandatory state training is a bargain. Try checking out the other cannabis educational platforms. They charge significantly more. Not to mention, anyone who completes their training and receives their certificate of completion, completes the new team orientation, passes the New Employee quiz, acquires there agent card and conducts themselves professionally during the process is automatically added to the Highlite Staffing roster for entry level positions in the cultivation facilities, production labs/kitchens and dispensaries. They are also added to the roster for interviews for permanent placement if they have the required experience. This company works hard to help people without experience, who would otherwise struggle to get their foot into the industry. For those calling it a scam, I am dumbfounded that they dont take the time to just Google the company and learn the truth. This is a privileged industry. You dont just get a job working in cannabis because you think its cool....you have to meet state required guidelines. Educate yourself!

I have worked with Highlite Staffing and Christi McAdams in general for many years. I mostly provide web development and social media services but have also been active in many of the industry events they host.The first thing you will notice at any of Christis businesses, is the warm and inviting office setting and staff. She promotes a family type atmosphere, filled with happy faces buzzing with activity.Christi founded one of the 1st businesses on scene in the Nevada medical market and has helped many businesses and colleagues with industry growth. She is always coming up with fun incentives, contests and bonuses. Im especially excited now to be part of their expansion to the Florida market; my home state!

Highlite Staffing is a great agency to be apart of. I started as a brand ambassador and they helped me get prepared for the position completely and easily. Any issues that might have came up while on the job, Highlite and their wonderful staff took care of it, which a lot of companies do not do. Most just let you take care of it. The front desk girls are always sweet and the checks are always on time which is a plus. The sign on process was a breeze and I was interviewing for positions not too long after. I have been here about 4 months and it’s great start getting your foot in the door into this lucrative industry .

This company is very unprofessional. I had two checks that they never gave me. Anytime I try to call or text them about it they will not answer, they completely avoid me. They barely call you for any jobs. This place is a scam. Most of the good reviews on here is fake. Christi Gives people 20 bucks or some cash if they leave a good review about Highlite. Don’t believe the good reviews.

Highlite Staffing is ran and owned by Christie McAdams. She will try to pay you as cheap as possible to undercut other companies. She owes money to several ex-contractors. She also switched from w-9 to w-2 without consent of the contractors she had working for her before the beginning of the year and took taxes out of checks. Now as far as Im aware of, that is illegal to take taxes out of checks for w-9 contractors that never filled out the w-2s before taking the taxes out. She also owes ex-employees (cultivation, production, office staff, marketing/promotion reps, etc..) 10s of thousands of dollars. Because of the bad name that she has developed and messed over people in the industry she is now calling the company Highlite Group. There are better staffing companies in the Vegas area than Highlite. If you want to work for pennies and work for someone that has only her pocket book in mind than go get screwed with this company. And any company wanting to do business with this company, I would look into better options with better ethics, and so much more.Dont work for Highlite Staffing or Highlite Group.

Highlite Staffing is by far my favorite company. Management is amazing, Christy is supper awesome. This company is very professional and always has something for me to do. The classes they put together to learn how to trim and etc is great. I don’t have to be driving all over town for these classes so it’s very convenient. Room to grow here if your work shows. I truly recommend this place. Wish I could give it more than 5 stars.

I started out on Highlites roster back in April when the pandemic just hit. Neither myself, Highlite or anyone expected the delays with the state of Missouri granting all the facilities final inspections & final commencement to be so staggered and behind schedule. I was finally hired on by Highlite back in September and I now work for them to help with the onboarding process in the state of Missouri with our licences facilities we have contracts with. We have successfully placed a few candidates for a dispensary in the Kansas City, MO area and have several temporary workers in cultivation as of December 2020! Im excited to work for Highlite & be mentored by the founder & CEO, Christi. She is passionate about the industry and cares very deeply about helping people get their foot in the door to such a privileged industry. I cant wait until the rest of the state opens more facilities and we are able to fill more & more positions! The best is yet to come!

I have went through the training and have done the finger prints I am unable to reach anyone in this office via email or phone. Very frustrating.

I started the 5-step process of becoming a temp in July of 2020. I have a full-time remote job as the Head of Customer Experience at a SaaS company, but wanted something part-time to get me out of the house. Its now November of 2020 and Im still waiting to move onto step 4.The most recent message I received today, November 5, 2020, stated:We are reaching out to update you about the new digital platform we are very close to completing. Rest assured, if you have made it through the completion of STEP 3, you will be invited to continue the process of this application on the new platform. You are more than halfway done and we dont want you to slip through the cracks during this transition.The new platform, ENJOYWURK, is a robust cannabis-specific employee management software that has the ability to take you from the application process to new employee onboarding, to scheduling and clocking in all the way to payroll. As we are growing into the new markets, we desperately needed a national platform that could grow with us and we found an excellent ally with ENJOYWURK.As soon as our company profile and logistics have been uploaded to their system, we will transfer you to the new platform to complete your application and hopefully join our roster for cannabis job assignments in your market. We anticipate this being completed on 12/01/2020. In a few of the markets, we may need you to start sooner. If this is the case, we will manually collect your data and complete the process.Thank you for your patience and understanding of our growing pains during this transition process.Honestly, I have no idea why Highlite Staffing decided to move forward with their massive hiring plan when they didnt even have their tooling determined prior to start. This has been a massive waste of my time, and Im sure a waste of may others time as well. Highlite Staffing is clearly very disorganized and could care less about the people who are putting in time and effort to work with them.If youre looking for a quick, professional service, avoid Highlite Staffing at all costs.

Highlite seemed like a really great opportunity for me, especially during the pandemic. My initial experience with it was good, I spoke to the CEO on my first interview after finding them on indeed and she said I was passionate and could tell I cared for plants, and she also put a star by my name because I told her I had taken the cannabis community college classes already. Apparently there were 5 steps in the interview process. The next steps included paying somewhere from 100-300 or more for one to three classes pertaining to cultivation and production etc. I took the production and cultivation and got no practical information about any of the practices I would be doing. Information was repeated a lot. They say it is a state requirement to be educated so I continued forward.Fast forward and the company comes out and tells us that each state will have cash prizes and winners for the 2nd/3rd part, which includes paying for the classes and doing less than a minute short response video for them. They claimed they wanted to see how “creative” we could get. This confused me because the video was not long enough to be creative and it also was not something you could upload, you had to do it on the spot. So I did think that was weird. What company offers 1000 dollars for completing one part of an interview for being creative? You also HAD to pay for the classes and send the certificate to continue to the prize portion. Never heard anything back about that either. Because this is when they stopped trying to go further with the interviews. I sent out emails every once in a while and got responses back like this:“Hello, just a quick update. We have received all 3 of you completed applications and will be sending out step 4 soon. Please do not worry, you are on the right track to move forward. We are currently working on an issue we are experiencing with the company we have contracted with to administer our exams and just need to get this cleared before we can proceed. Otherwise, we will be in touch with you soon.”No word back after multiple emails and two months passing. I tried calling so many times with no answer, and no voicemail.Then I looked into the company. I do not think it’s a coincidence that A LOT of people are saying this is a scam, and not just on these reviews. I decided to send my thoughts to the company:“I am continually getting emails from cannabis community college offering discounts. This is a problem because other people are paying money thinking it will help them get this job when a college is not required to work with cannabis. You are affiliated with the college and I think that it is obvious you were never going to hire me, and that this really seems like a huge scam.[...] I just wanted to let you know I will be getting the word out to as many people as possible who fall into your trap. It’s not right, you should feel ashamed. “Funnily enough, this email was responded to within a day. I was told that I was entitled, that they would not hire if I do not have 90 days experience and that is why the education is necessary, even though we got no practical information. Which is interesting as they told me you can be ENTRY LEVEL, that this company tries to help people getting into the industry. Probably because they know we need the job and will do whatever it takes, even paying for classes. They told me negativity would automatically get my app thrown out and that they won’t take my threats lightly. What threats? This is my experience and I just want to help people who can’t afford to be led on by your company. That’s all. This would have been such a great experience and I wish things had worked out differently.Just take things into consideration before you apply here.

Join in April being told I would work with cannabis in my home state so I left my dream job in Massachusetts where I was already in cultivation and here I am almost a year later and they are still telling me the exact same thing its a pure scam plan and simple and ill be getting my lawyer involved.

I started working with Highlight in April 2019 as part of its first group of hires. Being employed in the Vegas cannabis industry since mid 2017, and having worked with 2 other local staffing agencies, I can say without hesitation that Highlight is an excellent company that looks out for its people. One long-term assignment in particular led a regular full-time position at a grow, which sadly due to the COVID-19 pandemic and slow business was recently eliminated. And guess who put me right back to work? Yep, Highlight rescued me from financial ruin. The office staff, the owner and my co-workers — all are professional, helpful, diverse and fun to be around. The lines of communication are always open, and schedule flexibility is of course a huge bonus. Work has been consistent despite a few lulls (not HLs fault) and I have always been paid on-time. If youre looking for a solid company to help you get started in the weed industry, you cant go wrong with Highlight Staffing!

I think this place is a scam. I payed for a cultivation SOP class, and didnt learn a thing on cultivation, only trimming. The lady who instructed the class couldnt even pronounce trichome right, she kept saying trichrome, theres only one R in trichome.I never got my certificate i paid for, and never got a call back for a 2nd interview, or a job for that matter.
