In mid-2017 my managing partner and I starting hearing buzz about something called a B Corp. We both looked into it and became excited to embark on our own B Corp journey. I started with the pre-assessment and thought, “Wow, this isn’t bad. I can do this” and didn’t understand what the hubbub was about it being difficult. Then I pushed forward to the full B Corp assessment.My eyes widened as I scrolled through the over 300 multiple choice questions. I printed out the nearly 145 page assessment and sat in my managing partner’s office in horror. He took one pale look at it and approved me leveraging an outside consultant for help.I reached out to B Labs to ask for a recommendation of someone in our area that could help and they directed me to Josh Prigge at Sustridge. Josh was so easy to work with and helped guide us through the whole process taking the daunting full assessment down to a manageable level of work. He coordinated directly with each of our team members to gain information and made recommendations on items we could improve upon quickly to bring our score up. I do not think we could have gotten through the process successfully in the short time we did without Josh.
