Sold a large lot of vintage toys. Was told payment after 90 days. Had to call and ask several times and after 7 months was finally paid when the stuff sold shortly after they received it.Decided okay took forever but got money for them. So I took match box cars and an antique train set in to them. Never heard a word back. Finally after a year I stopped in. Gave the owner the description of what my wife had dropped off and the approx date as it had been a year and I had even moved. Owner called me 3 days later. Said she took in a train and cars that week I described but her records didnt have a name listed. Could I prove they were mine. I havent yet found her yellow carbon receipt. However I asked well did you pay anyone else for those trains because if not obviously you got then from someone and you should have records showing they were dropped together. How would I know that from a year ago? She declined to answer.If you use her make sure you have detailed records of what you leave her or else she will screw you. Plus her fee is bs. My stuff sold for around $4500 we saw roughly $1650. She takes the credit card fee, auction fee, and other made up crap after the fact out of your cut after shes taken 30 to 40% off the top. So know up front what youre doing.
