I didn’t know what to expect… My husband said “a very small downtown theater… No you don’t have to dress up.” Huh? In Vegas? 🤔The actual theater space has undergone dramatic changes since the first time we attended but the productions have ALWAYS been so creatively presented. The size of the venue and the way the audience is creatively arranged… you feel so connected to the actors….you truly feel as though you are part of the production, not just a spectator.The music & lighting plays on all of your senses drawing you in to the “feelings” the actors are portraying, not just the words they use.All of these elements together create a mood that envelops you from the beginning to the end.We have enjoyed them all… But probably August Osage was my favorite… so far…the music, oh my ♥️The audience is almost all local… So you start to see people you know across the room with the wave etc.… Public FIT provides a great draw for the community! Already looking forward to the next one!

If you love theatre and love to see it done right, from artistry to production, to spot-on choices, you owe yourself the pleasure of being in the audience for as many of their productions as possible. With each show I have fallen more and more in love with this company. The love they spill on stage. The talent from actors to directors. It has been a joy witnessing these shows and I look forward to seeing more.

A never less than great cast -- amplified by the interactions between them and the audience discussing the text in the after show Buzz -- combined with creative and masterful direction play into a continued aesthetic of plays which are dark but not edgy, moody but never melodramatic. I saw a show here a couple weeks ago and it was awesome! Such a friendly and fun atmosphere. You could tell everyone involved was just genuinely happy to be there. A Public Fit Theatre Company produces outstanding professional theatre in Downtown Las Vegas. The quality of their work, the title selections, and the artists never cease to amaze me. Ive been a regular patron and a BIG fan since their inaugural season. The staff and leadership have always created a warm and welcoming environment for audiences to each event. I particularly love the conversation between audiences and artists that takes place after every show, they call it The Buzz. I learn so much more about the plays and take away something new every time. APF doesnt just produce quality live theatre, they engage every audience to be a part of the experience and share their perspectives about the stories being told on stage. I love APF. Bravo!! I love this theatre! Ann-Marie and Joe put on some of the best live theatre I’ve seen; they’re super hospitable, kind, and they care deeply for their patrons. The seats are comfy, and every show is a whole new experience. I’d recommend everybody in Vegas or visiting to check them out.

Its a quaint building in Vegas. There is parking at the side. Not sure if this is a safe neighborhood so be vigilant. Watch your step when you enter the building. Check out a local play and enjoy. Ps no drinks or available at this time.

What a great place! My husband and I went to see Steady Rain last night with a friend and got to meet this lovely theater and its people for the first time. We had no idea that it existed and we felt like we discover a treasure. The actors were phenomenal and the performance space and stage set up were clean, innovative, and provocative. We also liked the opportunity they offer to stay after the play and talk to members of the play and community about things like the effect the play had on you, challenges of the production, and different interpretations. We are coming back for the next production for sure. Thank you Public Fit Theater Company!

For those out-of-town visitors who want to explore our Downtown Scene...check out APF. They produce solid works, are welcoming and continue to grow in size and skill. Their current show, A Stead Rain, is a wonderful night of theatre. A 2 person/100 minute performance that tells a marvelous story revolving around the lives of 2 police officers in Chicago. APF continues to serve our community with solid, well-produced theatre. If you love police stories, if you are curious about the human condition, or if youre looking to see the real Las Vegas, head their way! They NEVER disappoint. Oh, and the theatre is close to lots of great local restaurants!

This is truly one of Las Vegas’ hidden gems! A Public Fit Theatre’s productions are performed in a converted warehouse space in which the audience usually surrounds the stage instead of sitting apart from the action. This isn’t like the Smith Center! The performers aren’t a mile away. Instead, you feel as though you’re on stage with the actors! Every play I’ve seen there has been thought provoking, touching, and surprisingly – funny! You wouldnt think a drama about a woman with cancer or The Elephant Man would have many laughs, but the directors and actors find light moments even in the heaviest subjects. The performers hold an open discussion after each performance. I recommend staying for this. It’s always interesting and fun!

I attended W;t this afternoon and it was amazing! It’s a play about life and acceptance. The cast was outstanding as well as the Direction and staging. I highly recommend this play as well as this wonderful theater. A highlight of the experience was the “Buzz” talk that followed the performance after a short break, when the directors, members of the cast and stage crew fielded great questions from the audience. A very thoughtful discussion about not only the play itself, but about acting, the theater, and the meaning of life ensured. This was my first time attending a play here and I will definitely be coming back for more... a great season is underway!

Truly a great experience. Joseph, Ann-Marie, and Daniel really knocked it out of the park. Highly recommended to all.

August: Osage County was one of the most brilliant productions I have seen since moving to Las Vegas. I would have paid big time regional theatre prices for that show. True artists. #maketheatrehappen

Loved this space for The Elephant Man, which was perfectly staged for the up close and personal seating. Ann-Marie and the Kucan familys wealth of expertise and creativity are a win-win for our local theater scene. Looking forward to future productions!

Vegas is lucky to have A Public Fit. They consistently share beautiful productions of plays with the community as well as specialized storytelling events, improv, and free readings throughout the year. Their already high-caliber work is growing with each season. Their venue at The Usual Place is also a perfect refuge downtown with a distinct theatrical feel and an ideal setup for every story they tell.

This is a hole in the wall theater company and they put on really good community theater productions that tackle thought provoking subjects. Ive seen 3 different shows here and have been very impressed by all 3 performances. This group is an asset to the community. Keep up the good work.

Each performance features an end-of-show talkback - The Buzz - ensuring that theater-goers can continue to connect to the material long after the curtain has fallen. Staged readings in partnership with the Las Vegas Library District are SRO.

This place is behind a restaurant and hard to find. I went with friends to see the Glass Menagerie. The place was small and the seats surrounded the set. The chairs were sitting up on raisers and this was difficult for me to climb on. Im disabled with a brace on one leg. With the help of my friends, I was seated. There was an intermission. There was ONE restroom in the restaurant for all of us to use! I had to knock to get back into the play. We had been locked out. They were very rude about it. They need to wait til we are all back.

Nothing but a great experience, Theatre at its finest!
