The staff is so nice, the pool is wonderful - temp of the water is perfectly cool. The entire facility is clean and its spacious including the locker area and restrooms. I think the fee is fair considering what they offer. I am there very early in the morning amd/or early afternoon and its not too busy. Thank you.

Been a member here for about 5 years. Tried a few other clubs before deciding to join. This is definitely the best of those I tried. Since joining theyve done a great joe expanding the facility, with the upgrade of the locker rooms, the equipment, and the addition of the pool and sports courts. Theyve also done a great job adapting to the Covid situation. Very happy to be a member.

Great gym! Clean, a lot of variety of equipment. When its busy its not overly crowded. Good value! (And they follow the latest CDC/Governor of NM guidelines, thank you).

Just bad, burger was way over cooked. But fries were good.

Customer service bad, I canceled my membership the and they kept taking money out of my bank account and they would give me what they took out. I should have received a full refund. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB.

I was a member of this gym for almost 5 years, referring countless people, bragging about how it was the best in town, nothing but good things to say about the staff. I added my brother to my membership but after a few months of him not using it I asked to have it suspended for as long as I could get it suspended to give him the chance to separate it. I continued getting billed as normal but after 3 months I revived a call that the account had been unsuspended and that I owed an additional $300 dollars almost. And imstead of helping me out I was told there was nothing that could be done even though I had paperwork saying that the account would be suspended for the remainder of 6 months. I spoke to the owner and was told I would have to pay that charge and then re open a new account at the new rate in order to even go back to the gym. I was grandfathered in at a lower rate and they wanted to charge me the new rate that it had gone up to after the expansion. Even in the event I was talked down to and treated with horrible service by the owner and his wife. That is what loyalty gets you. Once they put all that money into the expansion greed set in and they didn’t care anymore. I have tried several other gyms and have never really felt at home. Not to mention they are miles away from my house.

I have really enjoyed all the gym has to offer. Ive never attended so many activities at a gym before. It is clean, people are friendly, and get choices of equipment and classes to attend.

This is a great Gym that offers lots of variety in classes, an indie pool and hot tub, sauna, personal training, shakes, tanning and day care.

Stopped at Fitness One the day after Christmas while visiting New Mexico and couldn’t have been more pleased. Counter staff was friendly and helpful and got me signed in on a day pass promptly. The facility And machines are clean and well maintained. Bring a towel ( no towel service) and have a great workout.

Great, spacious facility. Never have to wait for machines. Super nice locker room.Machine preventative maintenance could be a bit better. Cables on machines are frayed and warning signs only show up after they’re completely severed.

Its a great place. I go about 5 days/week and it keeps me pretty fit. Ive missed it.

Fitness one is great, they have a sauna, steamroom, hot tub, pool, rock wall, lots of great equipment. Friendly workers, positive atmosphere. No intimidation factors, more motivating and welcoming than anything.

Fitness one is the ultimate gym... it has everything .. swimming pool .. basketball court ... tons of machines for every muscle.. day care.. sauna ... steam room ... showers.. hot tube.. tons of exercise classes.. to put it this way I practically live there .. Im in here 7 to 10 times a week...

I was a member of Fitness One for a long time--from when they opened to 2020. I maintained my membership because as an original member, I was paying something insanely cheap to belong ($24 a month maybe?) But it was also a frustrating place: construction that took forever, parking issues, filthy shower rooms, broken equipment that would have out of order signs for months, nasty front desk staff, and not enough cleaning supplies for patrons to use. I suppose that if you are willing to put up with all that, and if you can manage not to have any contact with the owner or his wife, and you can afford the $80 a month or whatever they are charging now, more power to you.

I checked out every gym in Las Cruces when I moved here 5 years ago and I found Fitness One offered the most even though it is the furtherest from me. Lots of room and lots of equipment. Also offers a variety of classes. Very friendly and helpful staff

Way too expensive for what it offers. New members are essentially paying for the new additions to the facility such as the pool and basketball court. Can find cheaper less expensive memberships to train at such as Crunch Fitness or Planet Fitness or The Gym.

Like the location. An extreme diverse age and race population which adds to the good feel of this gym! Love love the heated pool and there is ample parking. The vibe here is just what I have been looking for and the smiling and courteous staff just adds to that vibe.

I love the price and the fact I am not locked into a contract. The women’s only area is nice. However, some of the cycles and treadmills need to be repaired because the sound doesn’t work very well on the tv monitors.

Fitness One is a nice place. But if your going to work out here bring your own music to listen to, the music here absolutely sucks. A lot of the music playing here is on my grandmas car playlist. This place is definitely a hippie gym. It is also really expensive.

So overpriced. Yes, the gym has a lot of amenities, but often times the equipment is broken. For as large as the free-weight area is, they definitely lack key pieces; i.e., there’s only ONE decline bench for chest press. The most annoying part is the fact that you’re paying for a “newly-renovated” gym; however, there is still renovation going on. Construction materials/tools can be seen throughout the gym. It’s super annoying to be paying for something that isn’t even complete yet. If/when a comparable gym opens in Las Cruces, for a lower rate, I’ll definitely be leaving. They need to lower the price, seriously.

Great gym with 24 hour access for members. New expansion opening early 19 will add lap pool, hot tub, and steam room and other amenities.

Pros- the gym has great equipment with free weights and machines. The equipment is well maintained by the staff. There is no contract and fees so you can stop the membership at any time. The gym is open 24/7 including all the hollidays. They provide sweat towels!Cons- The parking isnt the best, during rush hour I sometimes have to park on the street. The locker rooms can use a bit more maintenance.

At first I enjoyed this gym a lot. Good equipment. I liked the pay as you go plan since I am often out of town. I had left for a month unexpectedly and was billed, asked to extend my membership and was declined. Not unusual for a gyms, take the money and run policy.The next month was billed as usual and I continued to work out there.My experience slowly got worse as the kids/trainers stood around from day to day talking about their latest bar room conquests and keeping some equipment held hostage for hours on end. This slowly became too much to ignore and I started changing my workout times just to avoid them as I could.I enjoyed the hot sauna after my workouts but during the summer the A/C blows cold air inside the poorly sealed sauna keeping your ankles nice and cold, wasting energy, and dropping the temperature just enough to be annoying. My last straw was a call to my emergency contact on my initial paperwork when I was out of town again to ask about making them a payment. I found this unacceptable and unprofessional.It would be a lie to say I did not enjoy this gym and even considered returning to give it another try with several of my friends, but just have not committed to giving them a second try. I hope they will take a moment to make improvements, but sadly like most places in Las Cruces its unlikely anything will change.

They just ruined what was the best thing about this gym - used to be could choose between the two exercise rooms, one blasting garbage music so loud it drowns out tour headphones the other free if the blasting. no more. now in addition to 10% of the equipment broken, 1/4 of the gym taped off and under construction, broken spa, no basketball, no rules about people using phones and taking pictures of other guests in the locker rooms, you get the headache inducing blasting music in every room. WHY does this place think everyone needs to hear their sound track at max decible? how about not at all or half volume for the 1% that do not bring their own sound.

Basic equipment, staff really sucks now I hurt myself pretty bad when one of them interrupted me in the middle of a heavy set. If I wanted to lift light and quiet I would save myself 30 bucks a month and go to planet fitness. I work shifts so 24 hour access is a big plus easy to get in and out on off hours.

Best gym in town... I think the new expansions are going to make it even better. Staff is great and the gym is always clean.

Some of the machines are a little dated, but overall its a nice place. Needs more lifting platforms. Treadmills need to be tightened. Very social, lots of people chatting. Cant wait for the expansion.

Great facility with spaceous workout areas. All kinds of cardiac machines, free weights, muscle building machines for all needs & levels, stationary bike room for group workouts, saunas, tanning booth, water massage. Large room for yoga classes, Zumba classes, Silver Sneakers classes & etc, showers for men and for women, private dressing rooms for women & private weight room for women. Also has a supervised nursery. Fitness One is adding 40,000 sq feet to make it the largest gym in town, including a pool for lane swimming. Check it out for particulars.

Best gym in town. They offer classes. Theyre adding an addition. It is showing will provide indoor swimming and basketball. Their prices are straight up and affordable. No hidden gimmicks. Theres a area dedicated to ladies only. Plenty of cardio. Free weights. Different types of machines for resistance training. They also offer classes. Not a CrossFit gym.

Ive been coming here for a few months now And not once has any employee said hello or even acknowledge me unless it was a fitness instructor staring at me making me feel uncomfortable . definitely canceling my membership as soon as this month is up. I do not recommend this gym to anyone.

This is the best gym that I have ever been to. It is not the cheapest gym but you get what you pay for. It has all the amenities you need and is also about to go through an expansion (as of 7/16/17). Would recommend.

Ive trained at numerous gyms all over the country and this one has been my fav thus far.. its clean, spacious, welcoming, and I love the fact that the array of fitness classes are included in the membership.What I appreciate most about this gym is that its only $15 a month for childcare and the girls that watch my daughter are absolutely lovely! No other gym in town has this and as a mother, its been such a huge help in achieving my fitness goals!I also enjoy that it saves me a trip to the tanning salon; There are different packages you can purchase but I only pay $27 for a whole month of unlimited tanning. This gym rocks and I couldnt imagine going anywhere else in town. As cheesy as it sounds, the people here are like family to us; and thats what makes the experience at Fitness One worthwhile. :)

I was a member for years, but this gym is a disappointment. Unfortunately, the owners are very rude to the members. I had a horrible experience at this gym and made me feel horribly. Like I mentioned, I was a member for years, but I travel for work constantly. On November, I called the gym to cancel, because I was not going to the gym anymore, but they told me that I was not able to cancel over the phone. So, since I didn’t have an option, I called my bank, so they could stop the automatic payments. Today, I went to open my membership. I asked the lady at the front desk and she said that I had to speak to the owner. He came to talk to me, but he was very upset. He was extremely rude to me and made me feel horribly. He humiliated me in front of others. Please don’t go to this gym. There’s other options.

Absolutely impressed with the staff and layout.

As a winter snow bird, I went to Fitness One to use the gym (aerobics equipment only) for the 3 months in Las Cruces. I have done this for the past 3 years at a reasonable cost of $175 with no hidden charges. I thought, good, an honest gym! (That WAS their motto!) Now, after a huge (and unnecessary) expansion the cost was nearly $300 and included cancellation fees for less than 6 months - yadda, yadda, yadda. The only explanation is we have a $5 million expansion to pay for. So sad, if they would market a special program for winter snowbirds, they would grow accordingly!

Good gym for the most part. I do feel they need to invest in bumper plates for their deadlifting platform so the weights can be slammed during certain lifts like deadlifts or power cleans.

I love this gym! And starting in 2017 they are adding over 100000 square feet of new facilities, including a swimming pool, indoor basketball court and playground for the kids daycare services! Reasonably priced, a few more well spent dollars towards this gym is worth it. They dont feed you cookies and pizza like that other gym if you want to call it that, and their equipment isnt that forsaken ugly purple color and their weights actually go up to past 50lbs. Exceptional staff and clean workout environment with updated equipment that is in tip top shape to get you in tip top shape. Womens only gym is a great feature, my wife readily enjoys it, and the sauna and hydro massage room is great as well as the rock climbing wall. Hands down the BEST GYM IN LAS CRUCES

Crowded even at 5 AM, Run classes with obnoxiously loud music In the middle of the cardio area blocking off space and equipment so no one else can use. Very poor response to complaints, would not at all reccomend

They have all of the equipment you need, but expect to wait for free weights. They are very limited in their number of free weight benches on one side of the facility and its a pain to carry the weights back and forth to the other side if you want anything over 50lbs.
