I took my van into this location after researching a few different places. Rob helped me from the beginning of the process to the end. I was certain my high-mile transmission was in distress, and the tests they ran confirmed it. I knew I wasnt going to get out cheaply with a transmission problem, so my expectations were realistic there. However, I didnt anticipate the level of service I received from Rob. He was honest and upfront about the problems and the costs. They found two leaky gaskets, as well. Rob told me what it would cost to fix those and how urgently I needed to address them. I was able to choose which leak I had them fix, based on my limited budget. I found Rob to be very kind and engaging. He clearly explained their warranty and what I could expect going forward. He told me to bring the van back in for a recheck a few weeks later. I was very pleased with my experience, despite the high cost - which I expected.

Excellent service, very knowledgeable salesman and technicians and the turnaround was astounding. The vehicle was dropped off on Thursday morning and ready for Friday afternoon with major transmission work needed/performed. Only time will tell if the work holds up, but with warranty I am more than confident. A+++

I brought my vehicle in to Cottman of Laplace, because I thought my transmission was acting up. Ive brought my vehicles to Cottman in the past and I was always treated kindly and in a very professional way Their work has always been top notch. Well my transmission was fine, but I had a few other issues that were causing my vehicle to not function properly. Cottman had to order some parts for my vehicle and not all of the parts came in. The company they order the parts from did not have the part that was missing, so instead of just waiting for the other company to get the part in, Cottman went the extra mile and hunted down that part and found it. Even with that hang-up, Cottman was able to have my vehicle ready for me on the day they said they would have it ready. I was truly impressed by this and very grateful. I recommend Cottman of Laplace if you have any kind of vehicle trouble. They not only are transmission experts, but experts in all areas, including great customer service. So next time youre having car issues, bring it to Cottman in Laplace. Your wallet and vehicle will thank you.

I dealt with Rob the entire time. He called when he said he would, kept me updated on everything and had my car fixed and back to me the very next day! I would highly recommend this place, they are professional and honest which is hard to find! AND they didnt take all of my money! Which was also great! :-)

I love this place. The people there are very friendly and Rusty is a very nice guy who was constantly letting me know what was going on with my truck. I will recommend them to all my friends.

Total idiots. Avoid this place at all costs. Ive been in and out of this place countless times over a leaky transmission gasket. It was under warranty with them so it cost me nothing but WOW! What a waste of time. Ended up going down the road and paying 25$ to a locally owed shop. Best 25$ I ever spent

Worst experience of my life in spent over 2000 on my transmission that only lasted about4 months due to torch converter that went out that was supposed to be new and my truck wouldnt start when I got there had to bring to another shop where they said all my sensors went out on engine at the same time or someone switched them out hmm now picture I drove in there fine and had to be towed to another shop never again.
