I have not been inside the Lansing Center for a couple of years, but have always admired the grounds around it and along the boardwalk by the river...until recently. We had relatives visiting from out of state the middle of June 2021 and took them by there expecting it to be as nice as it has always been. However, this time the planters along the boardwalk have not been planted, the gardens in the retaining walls leading to the building are overgrown with weeds and thistles, the brick patio where the gazebo is located and steps leading to the building from the boardwalk have tall grass growing up between cracks...the whole place just looked abandoned and in disrepair. There is a very uninviting look about the building and I would think this would discourage those looking for a place to hold an event, as well as visitors enjoying the sights in downtown Lansing. Very disappointing.

So I actually went there at night. Receding outside is beautiful. I was able to sit there all night with a friend and talked the night away. That feels great after everything.

Very nice place to go for events, family or otherwise. Parking is inexpensive compared to other places around Lansing.

Signage is very poor for parking and interior. The place was dark and empty, no signs directing people to the event. Leaks in ceilings. Maintenance is definitely not what it should be.

Nice place for events, everything looks great

Ive went to two Life In Colors here, along with working for the company that set up booths for expos. Really HUGE place, right in the heart of downtown Lansing. If youre coming for an event, I recommend coming a few hours early and seeing the attractions within walking distance of parking for the Lansing Center.

Very elegant and professional building. Large and great for holding conferences.

Located in the middle of downtown Lansing, the Lansing Center is the premier place to hold a convention. Within two blocks of the offices of all the legislators having an event here makes it easy for them to attend.The size of the spaces available can serve meetings from 10 to 10,000.The service staff is competent and friendly. They are flexible enough to cater what you want the way you want it.

Very large space with no support columns. Black ceiling with exposed metal work. Good for medium sized exhibition. Very nicely appointed meeting rooms along one side of the exhibit space. Attended the annual Michigan Safety Conference here in mid April 2018 and took several classes in the aforementioned meeting rooms on he main level and the second level.There is attached, covered vehicle parking with adjacent uncovered parking as part of venue. Good climate controlled atmosphere indoors.I did not appreciate seeing the Table Dancing joint across the street, though. You would think the city elders would have mandated better (zone) usage regulations for the area. Table Dancing establishments do not give a good first impression to out-of-towners.

Good place for a company party. Staff is excellent, safe and secure environment. But.. the food could be a little better but its ok.

Beautiful place. Auditorium is very large and well kept. The staff are helpful and kind. Very hospitable.

Great service by staff. Could use more restroom facilities during large conferences. Parking runs about $7 per vehicle.

Terrible acoustics for any musical performance. Always just seems like a cavernous rooms with wedding chairs. Definitely not a Lansing Showcase.

Had the company annual sales kick off here. Food was great. Very nice.

I attended the Michigan Peer Conference. The event was amazing. The facility is outstanding!

Very nice facility but when it comes to state events VERY RUDE WORKERS FOR GETTING PEOPLE TICKETS AND VERY DISORGANIZED. just saying.

Went to an Adobe conference for local agencies interested in their products. They (Adobe) continually complained that the room was to long. This made it very hard for people in the back of the room to see what was going on at the front.

Awesome place to perform a concert...

We have held our Soundsgood Unveiling at the Lansing Center each year and love the facilities.

This place was horrible I went to a concert and felt like it was a middle school dance. No smoking no alcohol. Terrible vending and concession opportunity. Defiantly a waste of money to get a real concert experience

Had a great time at shuto con hosted in the lansing center interesting and fun for all anime fans of all ages

This is a supposedly ‘public’ facility.but their(lepfa, same imbeciles who ruined the city market) idea of that is only -select- members of the public are welcome- should someone come in off the street to use the bathroom, security will tell you to leave.why do our taxes support a facility we cannot use?one star, only because there is no lower rating
