I have used this company for several years and the customer service started to lag in 2020. I had assumed that it was because of COVID but fast forward to 2021 and I had to fire them. They missed my start up appointment (although they did call to say they would be late). When I told them it would have to be rescheduled, I was told that it would be over a month before they could come out as they would not be in the area again until then.I asked to speak to the manager and I was told they would give him a message. I then asked for a number to contact him directly and was told that they would not give me his number. I then told them to have him call me and have yet to hear back from them.Since I prepaid for the season I am also having to fight with them for a refund.Very disappointing from a once reputable company.UPDATE:I did finally hear from someone on May 6th. It was a cordial conversation and the manager did take responsibility for the failure on their part. I was also told that a refund check would be sent out immediately and it was received by me on May 8.Unfortunately, the manager stated that she had just heard about the problem which was why it had taken so long to hear from them. As I stated to her, I would probably still be a customer if I would have been able to escalate my issue at the time and not given the run around. Unfortunately, my complaint taking a week to find its way to someone who could potentially resolve it goes back to the lack of overall customer service and the reason they no longer have my business. I hope the culture changes quickly not only for the company but for remaining customers.

These guys must have taken down my comment. Beware do not use these guys. They have no idea what theyre doing and there customer service is terrible. Some older crabby lady answers the phone and should have retired years ago.

After numerous scheduling problems over the past few years with a different irrigation contractor, we decided to contact Spartan Irrigation, who service our neighbors system, to see if we could be added to their fall schedule for winterizing our system. So far they have been great! Their pricing is competitive and the women who schedule the service have been wonderful each time I have had to call. We shared the good news with our friends who have been renting a compressor and winterizing their own system over dinner last night, and now they are considering contacting Spartan Irrigation for their winterizing needs. Kudos to your scheduling team; keep up the great work!

Great experience. They recently installed 8 zones at our house and it is a breeze with the wifi controller and mobile app. I researched the different systems (Rainbird, Hunter, etc) before going with Spartan and happy with the K-Rain heads they used and our system overall.

These guys are friendly and knowledgeable. Their prices are generally fair, also.I recently purchased a new house which included a sprinkler system. For a nominal amount of money a friendly technician showed up and spent a lot of time teaching me about the system and showing me how to maintain it. Additionally, its worth noting that they were able to schedule an early evening appointment so I wouldnt have to miss work.Id definitely recommend them.

I am quite unhappy with their customer service. I have been a loyal customer for several years and have purchased several big ticket items from them including total lawn irrigation and drip beds for my flowers. The drip bed lines, which I paid to have installed (presumably properly) have been coming up from the ground. Many contacts to them to get this addressed have yielded no results (not even an acknowledgement). Very disappointed in their service after the sale.This year Carl called me to coordinate efforts with other work that I am having completed at my place, and not only promised to fix the issue raised above - but completed it in a very timely manner. Additionally hes been quite helpful in offering suggestions for other people/companies who might be able to assist me in a sump pump project. I am upgrading my review based upon Spartan Irrigations responsiveness.

They designed our zones poorly. Initially they were responsive and added zones and reconfigured it a few times. Then they just stopped responding and have left us to solve it ourselves. Weve had two other irrigation companies try to help us and they both are surprised by the design. Spartan used tubing that was too small and overloaded one of the zones. Looks like they have a lot of bad reviews. Ive contacted the Attorney Generals office and others should too so we can get some action taken so this company doesnt continue to do this to more residents.

I have left voice mails and sent e-mails inquiring to have lines and heads replaced on a sprinkler system. I would have loved to PAY for this as well. I was told that Carl can get busy. Well Carl, thank you for losing a customer and any recommendations.

Spartan Irrigation is one of the most frustrating companies I have dealt with in many years. The quality of their annual service is irregular. Some years a crew will carefully repair a damaged irrigation system and other years, there are broken heads left all over the yard. More frustrating still, in order to have the irrigation service turned on in the spring or drained in the fall, the company insists that the home owner be present. For those of us who travel and work away from the city, this is an unnecessary and costly requirement. I say it is unnecessary because the company clearly has a map of every feature of the system that they installed, know the gauges, lines, and meters. Last fall, I did not receive a call from the company and simply assumed that after years of discussions on the scheduling matter, the company finally just drained the system without the annual cycle of missed calls and messages. Instead, they simply did not drain the system. I learned this during the middle of the winter when one of the pipes burst. While some people like the service that Spartan Irrigation provides, I am not one of those happy customers.

We used this company for sprinkler winterization and Spring activation for 10 years because the previous owners of the house used them. The service quality in the last few years dropped. Two years ago we got a technician that blew several sprinkler heads up during winterization. We called and left a message with one of the companys owners to ask them to come back and repair the damage. They never called us. We called again in the Spring. After back and forths with the owner, he finally agreed to send a technician without charging us only because we had been customers for many years. They sent the same guy and he installed the wrong sprinkler head and wired it to the wrong station. There was not enough water pressure for the station so we ended up watering half of the backyard manually all through last summer. We called to complain. The lady answering the phone was rude, said we had to pay for the repair, and did not transfer our call to the owner. When they sent a technician for the next winterization, we asked him to rewire the stations properly and replace the sprinkler head to its right size. I paid the bill for the damage they caused and never called them again. In my last call, I told them they had lost us as customers. They still had the nerve to schedule the Spring activation this year without consulting (they have been doing that for the past years). Be aware of them.
