Erika is a great barber. She has managed to correct a problem created by radiation and she uses hot lather on my neck. Best haircuts ever. Pleasant atmosphere. Great experience every time. Couldnt be more satisfied.

Before I started seeing Erika here, its almost been a year, it was hard to find a decent haircut that I liked. I could tell I was in good hands from the first haircut. I am EXTREMELY pleased with the short/clipper cut I got from Tiffany today! I just showed her a couple pictures of what I wanted and she nailed it where 2 other stylists have failed. I love the space where they are located, too, and the prices are jaw-droppingly affordable for the top-notch hair salon experience I received--just a few bucks more than bargain national chains. Tiffany has been doing my hair for ten years and always does a great job! The barbershop is very nice and clean and a great atmosphere, I wouldn’t go anywhere else... I am moving out of state and will be making trips home for haircuts!

I am amazed at how great I feel about my haircut. COVID-19 has been hard and I haven’t gotten a professional cut since about 7 months ago. Erika knows her stuff. I am non-binary and get fades usually. She made me feel better than any other barber I have seen. DO NOT knock female artists and barbers. These women know their stuff. I will absolutely be back. First time customer this week. Tiffany cut my hair and did an excellent job providing me with what I was wanting. Judging by their Instagram postings, it seems like you cant go wrong with either Tiffany or Erika. As a sidenote, got introduced to Lockhart hair products, based right here in Michigan, which somehow I didnt know about about previously (this is, in part, why you should to go to locally owned barbershops and not chains. Lesson learned). Ill be definitely be returning and will be purchasing more from Lockhart.

East Side Barbershop has always delivered a very personal, professional, and catered experience. My go to barber has been Erika but both have proven themselves to be very capable and caring barbers. A very cozy environment that is well-maintained and clean. They are local, provide products from local businesses, and take pride in the community they provide for. My hair is notoriously difficult to work with based on 30 years of previous haircuts. Getting my haircut became more or less just something that needed to be done and would always turn out mediocre to terrible because of a few finicky cowlicks. Erika really knows her stuff and will work with whatever you give her. I switched up my normal haircut just because I had liked some of the length I was used to with my quarantine hair. I didnt really have an idea of where I wanted it to go but she came through with a good compromise. She works with you to inform you of proper hair and beard care/grooming with an emphasis on long-term goals. I wouldnt go anywhere else in town for a hair cut. I waited over 3 months to get it done and it was well worth the wait. If you arent convinced by these reviews then you at least owe it to yourself to let them earn your business. One of the best decisions I made concerning my grooming needs.COVID REVIEW:Those were my feelings before everything closing and opening back up. For those that are conscious of everything going on you can be assured that they are taking the pandemic seriously. You have to wear a mask, they are wearing masks, everything is sterilized and clean, the chairs are separated by a plastic sheet. They still do beard care as well and they wear large face shields for extra protection during this procedure. I was already highly satisfied with the level of care provided before all of this but am even more so now. Its definitely not easy for this work to have to jump through so many more hoops to get something that was quite simple done. They are doing it without any compromise to quality of care during one of the busiest times for the field.

Both ladies at Eastside are beyond impressive. Tiffany does an awesome job cutting my brother’s hair, as well as doing my cut and blond highlight. I’ve been going to her for close to 10 years and have nothing but wonderful things to say. Erika cuts my fiancé’s hair/beard trim, and is equally as fabulous. These two do not disappoint!

Erika gives an exceptional bald fade and more! One of the best fades I have gotten and she is talented with the scissors also. She gave me a few styling tips that will help me keep my hair healthier to maintain a great look. Highly recommended!
