I took my car here when it started having some issues. The guy that was there when I made the appointment seemed nice and helpful. The guy there when I took it in for the appointment on the other hand was rude and huffy and acted like I was an inconvenience. I was charged $108 for diagnosis and was given a chicken scratch barely readable list of repairs amounting to 2900 and told my car was trash get a new one. I took it down the road to two sons where the rates were much better and would work with my warranty. They fixed it for less than $600 and nothing on the list was what was wrong with it.

Ive been taking my vehicles here for years. Look at all the positive reviews! All earned! Today I was waiting for Don as he was busy checking out other customers - nothing but thanks and positive comments from everyone in there. Great place!

Extremely happy with every aspect of service. Quick turnaround and reasonable prices. From the time I called for general information on replacing my brakes, to the quote for service, through retrieval of my car, Don was very pleasant and professional. I never once felt pressured into any other service or product! I definitely will be a repeat customer and will recommend to others!

Tuffy location on Pennsylvania were very nice and took me right in. Manager Mike W explained to me that Tuffy on Grand River didnt do a very good repair for the price I paid at the time. He showed me parts that werent replaced that should have been the 1st time. Luckily my warranty is still valid. They redid and replaced the parts the right way. I will never go back to Tuffy on Grand River again. I will continue my service at Tuffy on Pennsylvania from now on. Great customer service.

I needed break repair ASAP for my car and they took care of me in a couple hours! I received a courtesy call about what the estimate was.. Turns out, my rotors needed to be changed! They also adjusted the belt and exhaust! All for under $300. Great experience and awesome customer service. I will definitely use their services again in the future.

Don and the guys are amazing. Kept me informed throughout the whole process of my Excursion being taken care of. It started as a tune up and a little exhaust work, however it turned into a giant job.They did a great job of letting me know what was going on and also price change. Highly recommend them if youre looking for someone who does great work, honest, and takes care of you.

They are honest.This is an update. I accidentally posted the partial review of 3 Stars.The manager was also very knowledgeable and helpful by explaining my options. I will return for my repair as soon as I can schedule it.12-15-20 - Update-- Had to take my truck to the dealer. Stuffy was unable to repair or even diagnose the problem. I learned from the dealer that Tuffy did not use best practices in their opinion. Tuffy also performed work that I did not authorize. They left my air box disconnected.The owner called me but his reasons left me wanting. Too bad because I liked the men who work there. Live and learn.

Great service at reasonable prices.

Took my dodge over there with an overheating engine and a coolant leak. Turned out the coolant housing was broken. Don and the crew were extremely helpful and got my car fixed quickly. Now it is running perfectly! He performed a full vehicle inspection at my request in addition to the fix and identified worn out rotors on the brakes. Unlike a lot of garages that would have claimed many unneeded repairs and said they were urgent, Don quoted me a good price and said that while it needs to be done, it can wait a couple of months before it becomes urgent. The guys at this shop are honest and hard-working. Their work is high quality and does not break your wallet. I will 100% be coming here for any future car needs and I HIGHLY recommend it to anyone who needs car repairs.

I have always had a great experience at the South Lansing Tuffy - whether I am there for an oil change or auto repair. Don is great to work, and I honestly feel like he has my best interests in mind, which can be hard to come by when dealing with auto repair. I never feel like I am being over-charged. Once, my car was towed to Capital Honda when it broke down on the side of the road, but I took it to Tuffy after being given a new battery and told I would need a new alternator, for which I was quoted an outrageous price. Don took a look at it, and not only did he let me know that I did not actually need a new alternator, but he did not even charge a service fee for it to be looked at. I appreciated his honesty and being up front about something I dont need. I will bring my car to this Tuffy for all future auto repairs!

Took a Jeep I recently bought to get inspected, Don and the team did a thorough inspection and pointed out some major mechanical problems with the vehicle. Had they not helped me out as quickly as they did, I would have been stuck with it. I just bought another used car that Im taking there for a steering rack repair. Ill be bringing all of my business to these guys from now on. Knowledgeable and honest, cant ask for much more.

They did a wonderful job on my brakes and rotors. Don was absolutely great! I need to get new brakes and rotors on my wifes car and plan to be back on Friday. They know their stuff and dont overcharge you. I would definitely recommend this Tuffy location to anyone.
