Bought a vehicle from paradise motors and issues brought me to doing business with ODonnells. Worked with Bob on a few of those issues, and he done excellent service. Bob is the reason I continued to do business with this establishment. Carrie, the service manager provided a different experience. She clearly doesnt care if you do business with them. I had a check engine light on and was advised it was related to the fuel pump sending unit, and I needed to take it to paradise, not even considering if I wanted ODonnells to do the repair. I called on Monday and spoke with another gentleman and scheduled for my vehicle to be repaired, when I called this morning to verify they had the keys I was told it wasnt even on the schedule and it would be a couple days before they could look at it and because it wasnt put on the schedule that they would try to get lt in and look at it. I have chosen to pick my vehicle up and end doing business with this establishment after having the conversation with Carrie. Im really disappointed by this and the fact that Bob no longer works for a company that wasnt interested in keeping this man when he submitted his resignation just shameful.

This is a Great Shop!! If you got a high quote from a dealership or a large chain auto shop, give O’Donnell’s a call! I brought them my truck for an engine job and they quoted me an almost unbelievable price compared to everyone else around the area! They took excellent care of my truck and I can tell you they definitely went above and beyond in terms of the quality of the work and overall customer service! They said it could take up to 3 weeks and they knocked it out in a week! 10/10 would definitely be back and recommend more people this way!

Our malibu was having some serious issues. took it in and it needed a head gasket and timing chain. it was a fairly big job, so obviously cost a good chunk. just a couple weeks later it started driving rough again. called up and they said bring it in. turned out we were facing another pretty big job, valve work. they knew we had just done a big repair and struggled to pull that off. they worked with me and gave me a really great deal that we could handle. great folks there.

I had my son bring is veh in for a thermosdat replacement. When they told him that the intake would have to be removed? So I called to ask about this to be sure it was needed. Jake answered and became very agitated when I questioned removing the intake manifold and if that was called for in the published labor guidelines procedure manual? Jake did confirm and I believed him. I then asked Jake to please repair the vehicle. However Jake took a very different tone w me and stated Id rather not work on your car... and implied I wouldnt be happy... He stated that I wouldnt be happy no matter the outcome. That was never my intent, I only wanted to verify their process. I repeated myself 3 times that Id like them to go ahead and repair the vehicle. Jake continued to be rude, surprisingly skeptical and very agitated. When I tried to explain the purpose of my follow up call Jake would talk over me. Instead of begging Jake to please repair the vehicle, I agreed with Jake sent my son back to the shop to pick the vehicle without the repair. We then took the vehicle in to another mechanic nearby. As a consumer and a father looking out for my son, I should be able to ask questions without having a service provider get upset with me.That review above was posted a few months ago and since the company has reached out to me on two occasions and expressed regret. It seemed sincere and they have offered to correct the problem I experienced. Although I had the vehicle repaired by a nearby competitor, ODonnells management does care about their reputation. I imagine my review is costing them business. Everyone who can express remorse deserves a second chance and I am chaning my rating from a one star to four.

I was en route to Northern Michigan when my driver’s side turn signal went out. They were open early and took care of me right away with minimal delay.

After a phone consultation, they helped me coordinate to get my car towed to their shop for a new clutch (manual transmission). They were professional and allowed me to practice safe distancing and pay for the repair over the phone. They even managed to finish the work a few days earlier than expected! Totally professional and accommodating. I cant say much about the pricing, but it matched what I expected based on internet research. Im not an expert in transmission repair, and your vehicle repair needs may vary from mine (2013 Kia Rio Hatchback, 6spd manual). I can say that should you choose ODonnells, you will be pleased with their service!

I had to bring my car back after paying $400 . They wanted to charge me again for something they did. My car was not making those strange sounds before i brought it their. They try to take advantage of women. very dishonest. Fake reviews!! Dont waste your money or time.

Bob, Jake, and Justin are my heroes. My 2011 Buick Regal effectively died. Those three brought her back to life. The timing chain broke and damaged the engine...needed a new engine. Bob put out the feelers and got the engine. Upon inspection, Bob and Justin observed some issues and called for a replacement of the replacement engine. I am glad that I accidently came upon ODonnells on South Pennsylvania. The timeline for the work was minimal and the customer service was second to none. Based upon my experience, I would most certainly recommend ODonnells for car repair.

ODonnells has been my go-to mechanic for the past 4 years. They are wonderful at explaining and showing you what theyve found and discussing options for repair. Brought my car in with what turned out to be a busted shock around 8:30 on a Monday morning, with no call ahead. They called with estimates for that, and a couple of lesser issues I had around 10:30. Work was done by mid afternoon, at a price that Google tells me is pretty good for what they did. Friendly service, no complaints.

These guys were incredibly helpful. They communicated well and explained everything that was wrong. They were very kind and extremely prompt and saved me a lot of trouble by helping me quickly. Helped a bad situation be resolved very smoothly. Super pleased; they were a blessing.

These people are NOT HONEST.Other local guides have had issues here.Took my Malibu in with a windshield wiper issue that I had already pinpointed for them and asked to check what the cost to order the part would be, as well as to seal one tire.I get a call roughly an hour later saying weve finished the inspection, you need issues A-Z taken care of, some being things I had my usual mechanic fix the week prior i.e. tire alignment, rotors(they said switch brake pads out and exaggerated their wear, rotors often come with this maintenance but they were upselling the rotors to me in place of my new ones).Probably because of my age they decide to take advantage. They charged me labor for the routine inspection I hadnt asked for and jacked the price of my tire seal when I refused all other services.If youre looking for a trustworthy mechanic in Lansing, my usual is Randall Auto. Close to MLK.Best wishes and dont for for ODonnell.

My kia was fixed here. They do good work but it did take longer than I would of liked. Robert did give me a break off the cost of labor for taking so long he also called around an did what he could to find aftermarket parts to save me money

The first draw was that theyre within walking distance of my house. BUT they have very much impressed me with their consistent friendliness, speed, quality of work, and not to mention how theyre open when no one else nearby is. Love em!

I have been coming to O’Donnell’s Repair since my Dad, owner of O’Donnell’s Repair, handed me the keys to a 2-door Chevy Cavalier back in 1995. Being the daughter of an owner and mechanic allowed me to see all the hard work and effort that is needed to maintain a vehicle and keep you safely on the road. In my early years, I had my fair share of jalopies that needed anything from an oil change to a complete engine overhaul and transmission replacement. O’Donnell’s kept me on the road with reasonably priced repairs tailored to my current situation – never outpricing what I could afford and always finding some kind of solution to keep me on the road. I have been to both shops, O’Donnell’s Repair West and O’Donnell’s Repair South and have received exceptional service at both.When I moved over 300 miles away, I fretted over whether or not I would be able to get the same service as O’Donnell’s in my new location. Unfortunately, I found either incompetent mechanics trying to take advantage of me or dealerships that charge twice the cost on a simple repair. Little did they know, this woman knew her stuff and didn’t fall for their nonsense. Now instead of messing around with those kinds of shops, I take my repair work exclusively 300 miles south to O’Donnell’s. O’Donnell’s is a place that women can trust. I have a young family now and currently drive a 2008 Ford Flex. When the A/C went out on the Flex in 2014, my new baby girl and me needed it fixed and fixed fast. O’Donnell’s South made sure it was back up and running and for half the price of my local dealership. I’ve also had the front and rear stabilizer links replaced, my brakes fixed, among others. The thing I love most about O’Donnell’s is that they offer you a variety of solutions – different parts from used, to generic, to dealer manufactured; and different timelines from doing it right away to saving up and putting it off– and you can choose what will work for you based on your needs and your pocket book.

We were traveling in our motorhome and started hearing a loud engine noise. We were over 2000 miles from home so we Googled for a truck repair shop close by. After talking to a couple of shops and they refused to see us, I called O donnells and the person on the phone said we would see you as soon as you come in.
