I love A-1. I’m not handy at all and whenever A-1 comes to inspect the furnace or AC the person is always really friendly and informative. I feel they give me a good sense for what maintenance, if any, is really helpful for the long term and also things that are less necessary and can help me save money. Feels like a friendly neighborhood business. For example I was telling Mark, who came today, that I wish I had a better understanding for how some of these things worked and so he showed me a bunch of stuff while he was working so I could learn a bit. I like that kind of thing!

Damonte fixed my AC in under 30 minutes. Other repair people told me I needed to replace it and it would be $4,000. He fixed it for $400 and he was on time, professional and kind. Would highly recommend using this company.

Made an appointment to have a duct off of the trunk line repaired. Jason came to my house and even though I furnished the 90° duct replacement part, he was unprepared to do the job that morning. I made a rookie mistake and did not get a written quote, only a verbal quote for $300-$400. I also didnt get multiple quotes from other HVAC businesses. I thought it seemed very expensive for the work that was required, but went ahead and scheduled it anyway as I work long hours and dont have much time to mess with appointments . Jason came back a week later and my husband let him in to do the repair. He worked for about an hour installing my duct and the price was $448.00, over the quoted price. My husband knew the quoted price, yet Jason told him he quoted $300-$600.. On what planet does a duct repair cost this amount? Id hate to see their prices for more technical work! In short, Id never use this company for anything again.

A1 went above and beyond for my family!! Our A/C went out the day before my husband had to go in for a surgery. I called them and they didn’t hesitate to send someone right away. Jason B put in extra hours for us on an extremely hot day, 90+ outside, to diagnose and order the part we needed. He got the part and had it installed the next morning. It was a total life saver!! He was very professional and polite and I highly recommend his work. I cannot thank A1 Mechanical enough!!

I called to get a quote on upgrading my house to 200amp service. Service man came out looked at it and said I don’t need 200amp service and never gave quote or called back.I called them a second time for my heater. They sent a service man who trouble shot the system to find out one wire was mis placed in the Nest thermostat. Charged $182.I recommend anyone to try someone else!

Jeff was AWESOME. He was prompt, extremely kind and professional, and was very efficient and precise with his work installing our new AC unit and thermostat. His work was clean, and he even fixed up our edging and rocks on the side of our house when the new unit was installed and ended up being bigger than our last one. The entire A-1 staff is amazing, I can’t say nice enough things about how easy and pleasant they were to work with. Highly recommended!

Mark, the tech, on his own initiative, checked his record as A-1 Mechanical installed the HVAC system 8 years ago, and found the parts were still under warranty. This reduced the overall cost significantly. This is professional service at its best

Weve enrolled in the A-1 maintenance contract since 2000, when they first installed the HVAC in the house wed purchased. They come out twice a year to make sure our furnace, a/c and air cleaner are performing properly. They change filters, etc. and let us know if there are any issues. Jason has been our regular technician for a while. Hes friendly, informative, punctual and professional. Its reassuring to know these essential appliances are well tended. Also, when I called to make the appointment, they easily set it up less than a week later, with a time window of only a few hours.

Jason was great, he went above and beyond to get us a new hvac blower motor during extreme heat. Pleasant, professional and made a small miracle happen. With 3 small kids including infant it was much appreciated.

Had A1 out because the exhaust fan in my furnace went out. It’s a simple fix but unless you are pro you can’t get one from the local supply houses. Part online for my exhaust fan was about $100 but since I had no heat I couldn’t wait. A1 charged a flat rate of $895 to change the motor. This is literally a 10 minute job. On top of the $895 they also add on the $89 service call.I’d have no issues paying double the parts cost for their service and the service fee but to be charged just under $1,000 for a $100 part and ten minutes labor is robbery. I reached out to give them an opportunity to make it right but heard nothing. There are plenty of other good companies out there that will charge a honest rate. I’ll never call these guys again!Update: A1 reached out and did adjust the price for their services. I appreciate them trying to make things right.

I reached out to A1 mechanical for a generic tune up and they sent a technician for a reasonable price who helped me with walking me through my unit as I am a first time home owner. He also escalated to his senior engineer for a problem which I was experiencing with one of my thermostats who sent us another technician free of charge to get the problem fixed. I would definitely recommend A1 mechanical and I will reach out for my future needs.

We starting using A1 Mechanical more than 20 years ago and have been very pleased with their service on both the AC (which they installed) and the furnace (which they also installed). We use the annual service contract for AC and furnace maintenance. Over the years there has been some turnover in the service technicians, but they are always skilled, courteous, and professional. This last winter, during the most frigid week, our 20-year old furnace developed a problem (loud fan and a burning smell). A new furnace was ordered, and while we had to wait for the installation appointment, one of their techs tried to fix it. Over the weekend there was still a problem, so they send Damonte. He was very skilled and professional. He diagnosed the exact problem and came up with a temporary solution that got us through the next few days until the new unit was installed. A1 sells good products and provides great service. I highly recommend this company.

Installed gas line for my stove. They were vary friendly. Did great work in a fast manner!

Excellent technician. Scheduled service to find a solution for uneven cooling throughout the house. Technician is unable & untrained to make recommendations or estimates. His inspection generates a call from the sales rep and eventually another visit to do the work. Not a great model for getting a problem resolved quickly.

Don from A-1 Hearing and Cooling came to do an estimate on a gas furnace replacement at the appointed time. He explained the work involved in the new furnace retrofit and agreed with my choice of model. He was able to give me the full installed price on the spot and informed me of the rebates that were available. He answered questions I had as well. My only problem was the work would not begin for four days because of a busy crew and the old furnace was shot. I still thank him for his time and effort and hope it warms up sometime soon.

Bought a brand new house and this company did the ac. It has never worked correctly. We have had three service people come out and still making a loud noise and vibrating my house. I called only to find out it is still going up the ladder to find out what to do. Just upset that after weeks no one has really had an answer. Would not recommend this company to anyone.

The employees care and do not pressure you into items you do not need and will take the time to explain what they are doing and what should be done now vs what can be done later.

Water was around furnace and in furnace so I turned it off to be checked out they checked it out and said it was running fine Im confused but Im just a Realtor they said basement leaking. Im a little confused but glad its running safe

My house has boiler heat, which means (a) there are no air ducts, and (b) the house is not designed for air ducts. I called A-1 to find out how much it would cost to install forced air heat and central air. They sent someone out to the house in the same week. The estimator showed up right on time. He listened to my ideas. He was quick and professional, explored all options, and made several suggestions. He gave me a ballpark figure on what it would cost, and advised when the detailed estimate would be available. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the service so far.

During our annual tune up Jason detected that the gas valve was malfunctioning. He contact the office immediate, obtain part information and cost. Approval to order the part was given and the part arrived in 2 days. The part was installed the next business day and checked for proper function. Very pleased in the manner in which our situation was addressed and resolved. Definitely a 5 Star.

Shane did a good job after parts were in place. Our service call took four days and by the time we got the parts and a repair appointment we had been without heat for 12 days. Fortunately it is not subzero temps! Again Shane did a good job with our repair!
