Definitely worth it! Got the front two windows tinted here because the back ones were done way before going to Preferred.Really happy with the results!

Got tinting on 4 doors and rear window. We went with the strato series. The owner was working to front desk for the day and was very nice and informative. Took about 4 hours for the job. He said to come back if there were excessive bubbles, but I dont think it will be needed.

Everyone we interacted with was friendly and professional. When I made the appointment they let us know the job would take most of the day, so we planned for that. The very nice woman in the office called during the day to update us on the progress. The tint is exactly what we wanted and seems to have been done well. It was done about 2 weeks ago so I cannot yet comment on longevity, but I expect there will be no issues. Overall happy with the service, product, and price.

Ive trusted this shop with my 2nd gen NSX to have the front windows tinted, and the results were amazing . Because the door that leads to the large backroom was open, I was able to watch them work on my car from the waiting room and i could tell they were super careful. Everyone was professional and friendly. One particular employee was intrigued and had some questions about my car which by the way is rarely seen in the wild.. oh and they took me in at the last min so thank you for accommodating me. Don’t come here if you’re cheap. Quality work comes with a quality price. The receptionist was so nice and knowledgeable. She gave me 3 different quotes on 3 different types of tint and explained the difference between each one. I decided to go with the cheapest option which was $200 for my Honda Insight. My windows look amazing and it really helps with this summer heat.

I’ve used this shop before but this will be the last time. The lady who answers the phone is completely rude if you look at other reviews you see that’s the common denominator here. Very unprofessional. We were trying to get my moms Audi tinted and they literally told us we could do six other cars in the time it takes for us to even remove your tint and the soonest they could get to it is October ! Keep in mind, we are in April why would I wait seven months to get my car tinted rather than just going to another shop? I called and spoke to the manager and he basically said the same thing that removing tint on a car is a liability and because of the chemicals in the process involved it takes longer to do and “we can do about 4 cars in the time it takes to do yours” and basically he said he would “have to charge us $800 to even make it worth their while” seriously ? Admitting to price gouging us because you don’t want to remove tint? So you’re saying you only tint cars that have no tent on them whatsoever!? Lmao wow. I’ve had BMWs Audis all kinds of exotic nice cars and I’ve never had any kind of issue with this before. They all had tint that needed to be removed !! Tinting any of my cars is around a $250 job and that includes removing the tint and putting new stuff on. Admitting to price gouging us just because you have other cars that are “easier jobs” is ridiculous. Every car I’ve ever purchased has already had tint on it that had to be removed before I had it re-tinted I’m not sure why these guys are acting like it’s such a big deal to do. Basically they are so swamped with work after this Covid nonsense that they are turning customers away which is the dumbest business model I’ve ever heard of. They are basically picking and choosing which jobs they want to do and they seem to be going for the low hanging fruit. Crazy too because I always used to recommend this place to everyone I knew, now there’s plenty of other tint shops in the AV to go to that offer lifetime warranties and all of that stuff who ARENT going to blatantly overcharge you just because they are lazy or don’t want to hire more workers. I’m glad you guys are happy that your work is so busy and you’re getting all this extra business that you can turn away customers but believe me that’s not a sustainable business model. Long-time customer here and I will not be coming back! If you treat a customer right, they will maybe tell one or two people about it...if you treat a customer badly they will tell about 10 people. Food for thought, go elsewhere. I’m not going to BEG a business to take my money especially when they don’t even want to do the job, clearly.

I went here because my dad said they were good .except the lady in the building wasnt worried about what I wanted I had spoken to someone on the phone that quoted me a way different price for black out.when I actually went in there I told the lady I wanted thedarkest tint they had ..She only showed me the most expensive tint on the wall.And she said thats what they had . When they finished it wasnt the darkest it was the darkest out of the most expensive .Then when I told her its not what I wanted she says oh its exactly what you wanted lets go to the tapes .Like she obviously has to do this often enough that they record every word but even then she wasnt able to offer anything except I could pay for them to take it off and then she said I never mentioned that I wanted black out and I said you only said you had the three on the wall and when I asked if it would get darker she said oh yes it would .make sure you record it .they have a menu thats not on the wall.its secret

Although I did not get work by them, I have to point out their very real sense of anxiety they imbued on me as we discussed tinting my Model 3. Theyre very defensive in a way other tint shops I talked to would consider unusual. Trusting my vehicle was built on reading the room that day, and I was scared to have them work on it. There was even a slight of unprofessionalism as one guy asks, as if I didnt hear, what does this guy do for a living?Should I have brought these things up with management before posting the review? No. Because one of the two business owners was the one in the room talking to me that day.**Beware the reply below!I was referred to Preferred by Auto Skinz, Preferred did NOT refer me to Auto Skinz.Also, $500 for a front windshield does NOT sound like comfortable with luxury cars, because Auto Skinz will do it for less than $300. Mixed Review? My experience with them getting it done initially was good. They took me in last minute and tinted my Honda Accord 2019 Sport at the price of a little past 700.00. (window tinting all around including the windshield- Windshield had UV protection only- no tint) Then a crack hit my window and I had to replace it. I called to see if the window tinting was covered. Under their warranty they only cover all the windows except the windshield. Apparently in California it is Illegal to tint the front window or put any UV protection. The customer service was awful with the first person that answered the phone. It was saved by the general manager- this is why Im giving four stars. A little history- when I made the purchase in the first place they suggested to me to purchase the windshield tinting. I thought it was an interesting idea and bought it. I wish they would of made it more clear that the front windshield is not covered under there insurance because of legalities with the state. I just want the consumer to be aware of this before making the purchase. The general manager did suggest to bill it through my insurance since my insurance paid for my cracked window prior. So I will check with my insurance. I will give another full honest review when I receive the news from my insurance. They are more expensive than their competitors- maybe because they have been around in Lancaster for a long time?

Great fast service with amazing customer service

Weve been customers of theres for years...but when you have poor customer service and the person who answers the call is rude and unprofessional we decided to take our businees elsewhere. Ive always referred our friends and family to them and back then they were really one of the main window tint places out here. But there are plenty of places out here now where no one should have to put up with that.

Well there is nothing really munch to say about preferred tinting I have been coming here since 09 and have 7 cars done here over the course of that time. I have not encountered any bubbles fade ripples nor turning purple, they are hands down my professional tint shop a lil pricey but in my experiences you get wut u pay for. Thanks preferred keep up the good work.

Stopped in to see about scheduling an appointment and they were able to get me in that day.I waited there as they worked on my vehicle and it was done in about 2 hours despite the constant flow of other vehicles through their shop.The staff is hard working and knowledgeable about their products. They were able to answer all of my questions both before and after the install.I had the UV-blocking ceramic tint installed. Its not cheap, but it makes a noticeable difference in the amount of heat that is trapped in the vehicle when it is parked out in the sun, which is just what the doctor ordered for the high desert summer climate here in Palmdale.This is the third vehicle Ive had them do in the last 9 years and Ill certainly bring my next vehicle here when the time comes.Thank you to the Preferred team for the quality job. Its just over a week after my visit and the tint is looking great.

Made appointment for 11 am, walked in, filled out form, picked tint I wanted and out the door in about 25 minuets. Had front windows tinted only which also included the small windows on each door. Great service. This is the 6th car I have had done at Preferred, never had a problem with bubbles or peeling.

Know before you go:1) The cheapest film used and quoted is the traditional dye film and costs around $200 for a standard sedan (4 windows plus back)2) The ceramic film costs around $400 for a standard sedan.3) The formula one strato series film that the company advertises on their webpage costs roughly $600 on a standard sedan.Be sure to find out what kind of film you are getting for the price you are quoted. Dont assume that the $200 is for the strato series film the company boasts on their webpage.During COVID, there is no indoor waiting room. You can leave your car and come back later to get it or wait outside for it to be finished. It takes about 3 hours if youre getting all windows on a standard sedan tinted.I thought it was a bit expensive and thats why I gave it 4-stars, but Im happy with the tinting job I got done today. Time will tell how well it holds up and how well the company sticks to their lifetime warranty guarantee.I recommend getting your tinting job here if you can afford to pay for it.

Theyre excellent at their work. The tint they use is by far best above the rest, front desk lady could use a little cheering up, idk may be smile rather than look so serious but other than that I am 100% percent happy, I will pass on the word, this place rocks!!!

Got Tint on my Nissan rogue and i definetly see a difference blocks the uv rays great. Staff was friendly and showed us all the different tints. Definitely worth it been a year and i have not seen any problems with the tint.

We had Preferred tint the windows in our 5 day old car. The staff here is very friendly and professional. The tinting is flawless. They give a lifetime warranty on their work, and the dealership we purchased our car from recommended them. Cant get much higher of a recommendation than that. While there, I saw several dealership employees from different dealerships picking up completed cars. The tinting service was completed surprisingly quickly (just over an hour), but it was early.Very knowledgeable about their product and services. I would not hesitate to recommend Preferred to friends or family.

Bought window tint a few years back and it started to bubble on my back window. I dont have the receipt so Im out of luck. They will charge to both remove and re-add tint. I understand the re-adding, but they could at least come the removal of the junk on the back window that they put on there.

Expensive. Tint is great so far. But the installers left marks on my white leather and drip marks on the door jams. They did clean it up after I showed them the issues I had. I dont mind the higher price if the finish work is spotless.

Dont go by the price they gave you on the phone. I called and spoke to hunter. Told me $65 for two front windows. After asking model of vehicle. He set up the appointment so based on him giving me the lowest price i go to this place to find out the actual price was $115. I explained to the lady i was given a cheaper price on the phone. She said $65 was not the correct price and the reason was a young boy answered the phone. She said Hunter was 18 years old and didnt know.Why do you let someone who doesn t know (prices) give prices? I specidically asked if 65 was for the two front windows and he said yes.He made me waste my time. I used this place before and i will never recommend it because their customer service it is not on a business level.Response to owner:I told hunter over the phone i have a peterbilt 389. The truck doesnt have quarter windows..it is one piece on each side. I only wanted the door windows tinted so please dont mislead readers and you said that costs 115. If you would honor hunter pricing considering it was his mistake i would tint the windows.

Edit: It’s been two years and the tint on the silver WRX held up great. They just tinted my blue C7 and did such a nice job I had them tint my STI the same day. If you care about your car go here they treat the cars nice and do great work.Nice tint shop with courteous staff and very reasonable prices. They seem to care about the little details and really happy with the work! Would definitely recommend.

After talking and visiting 5 shops these guys at preferred window tinting are the best. I ask what I want for my car, and they did 😀. As for price will vary, but for the best quality this is my now go to place.

They have ONE guy who can give you a price or even talk to you about residential/commercial tinting. ONE GUY. If hes out on a job, tough luck, call back later. You can leave a message, but they wont call back. I left 2 messages, 2 days apart, and never got a call back.Go with someone who actually wants business. Theyll probably do a better job anyway.

My girl had her heart set on tinting the car she just bought with the limo tinting and when she went in there the lady had only showed her the most expensive darkest tiny they had .all in all they didnt even look at the car before because they did the same exact thing that the windows were .500 .00 for a hysterical girlfriend thanks and they never even offered to fix it or discount it the did the wrong shade and they know it and dont care

Dont waste your time. Walked in for a quote but when I showed up for the appointment they tried to upsell me $150. She quoted me $195 for any tint. Yeah any shade of the garbage film. Did not specify the film. If you dont like your time wasted then I suggest going elsewhere.

This is a correction. I just veiwed my rating, from 2 years ago. It was set at 3 stars.. Im not sure why. It was my intent to rate it 5. I was very satisfied and my typo has been fixed to 5 stars. They did a great job. They were able to fit me in last minute, they were friendly and courteous, and on top of that it has been 2 years as I said, and the tint strip I got on my mustang windshield for sunward glare is still looking great. No bubbles, no shrink or discoloration, no lifting of the edges, no problems whatsoever. It still looks great and helps me tremendously. Thank you. You guys are awesome.
