We had Tim; one of their arborists come out on Monday. I had already reviewed the company in the heat of feeling this company has poor business practices. I know I was told 10am for the appointment, Tim showed at 10:40. If I was mistaken or the company, I will put that aside. If quotes take a minimum of 4 to 5 days, give people some kind of approximation for people to plan or have the expectation.The crux of my review relys soley on becoming a more informed consumer based on the level of expertise. My frustration or disappointment comes from how forthcoming regardless of years in the business the expert is willing to divulge. A better informed consumer will invariably establish a better relationship and trust in the knowledge of the conpany to know what is the best plan of attack on said project. This would be akin to relying on your experience in dentistry, or automechanics. If you know nothing about what is more intimate knowledge concerning the subject you cant begin to make a more informed decision.I appreciate the business owner contacting me and I think he is trying to make sure the umbrella corporation sees his willingness to gain insight into bad experiences. I did amend my review because of our conversation. I cannot however excuse the lack of transparency and inability to be informative. The last piece to this is the owner asking me if I would be willing to amend the review. I dont want to speculate what his rationale is, whether corporate had additional measures.

Wow, great value and quality! I used them a year ago to remove trees and they did a great job. This weekend, I had an issue with one of the stumps and they had someone here Monday morning to resolve the issue. Incredible service!

It is really hard to find the level of service that I am receiving from the Davey crew. Great communication from Lukas giving me options for my trees across my property. This seems to be the only company that can save trees with a treatment plan and also prune and remove trees. The crew that comes to your home is on time, professional, and they do a perfect job! I would recommend them to everyone!

Excellent service! I had a very tall, large tree that was between two houses in the city and required real expertise in removal. I got three estimates and Davey’s was the best one. The crew arrived as scheduled and had the right equipment to remove the tree. They worked slowly and efficiently and did an outstanding job. Perfection in every aspect of the removal!

Lukas came to our home on a Monday and gave us a fair quote on dropping an 85 ft Cottonwood in our yard. He indicated the crews are two weeks behind due the Covid-19 restrictions. We were in no hurry so we accepted the quote. On Friday morning, Lukas called and said he had a crew in the area and could do the job that afternoon. In less than an hour, the tree was down and landed exactly where we needed it to fall. Excellent crew and skills! Thank you Davey!

They said it wasnt economical to treat my fruit trees because they are so small. I wish they would just charge more and agree to do it. I need them sprayed with something you have to be trained to use.

Talked to two representatives of Davy Tree and requested they clean up brush left behind in our neighbor after trimming around powering. Tha second rep assured me it would be chipped that week. Now two weeks later and nothing has happened. Disappointed!!!!

I had three trees removed that were close mine and my neighbors house. I received quotes from other companys that were too high and not clear. Davey provide a very detailed professional quote and at a fair price and the lowest. The quote and the invoice was sent via email and I could pay my bill online which made it very convenient. I will definitely use them again for any tree work that I need.

The employee, Lukas, was very helpful, informative and courteous. He provided us with an estimate for the job right away and answered all our questions.

Excellent service from Davey! Had my estimate done by Tom who was very professional and answered all my questions. They came in much lower than all the other companies, and were flexible to how the work was going to be completed. Less than a month after I had a dying Ash tree removed, I had a Hickory tree fall down during a wind storm. I contacted Tom who came out that same day, and had a crew out the following day to remove it as well. Overall very pleased with the work and will be using them from now on for my tree services.

A large tree fell in my yard and after talking with a few companies I just wasnt happy with the estimates. Finally I called Davey Tree Service and Andy came out and gave me a very fair estimate for removal. He was extremely pleasant and easy to talk to. They had a last-minute opening and were able to send workers over the next day! They were courteous, professional, and fast. They cleaned up all the debris left behind and I didnt have to do anything. I would not hesitate to call them again.

The gall of this company blows my mind! We had one of their people ( they give themselves a big old title of arborist - which means nothing to me when your customer service is terrible) come over to give us an estimate on a tree removal. My husband met with the guy, Lukas and they discussed price. It was $1100 aprox, for ONE tree. I myself, assume this is a decent job for them. Its not huge, but its not cheap either! Well, Lucas was here on a Thursday and asked my husband when would be a good time to follow up. My husband told him mid week next week.Well, that came and went, so I called them myself to set up the job. The office people can do nothing for you...apparently you have to speak to the arborist. I told her that evening wasnt good, but Friday was (the next day). She ASSURED me he would call. When the entire day Friday went by with no call from Lukas, I have to say I was shocked. We decided we would call someone else. There are no second chances with me. Sorry, Im not going to BEG you to take my money!I called someone else Friday night, and he brought his crew on SATURDAY MORNING! The price was HALF of the estimate we got from Davey. By Saturday afternoon, the tree was gone and done. No fuss no muss.I sent an email to the office clerk explaining this entire situation and that I would NEVER be using Davey again. Well, I received an email from her stating she was forwarding my email to the district manager, an assistant manager AND Lukas.I THEN received an email from Lukas that sounded like he was forced to write it. He was apologetic, but in a forced way. I assume he got in trouble with his boss, from the tone of his email. So, more of my time wasted!!NOW, I receive a call from a manager apologizing again. NOW, heres where he made my blood boil... He stated that he would like to speak to me, to hear MY SIDE OF THE STORY. ??? Im sorry, but he went on to say that he read my email but would like to talk to me. UMMM, if you read my email, YOU KNOW MY SIDE OF THE STORY!! The absolute gall!!! THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT, BY THE WAY!No, I WILL NOT ever allow Davey to waste my time again. You can have the fancy lettered trucks, call yourself by fancy titles, but at the end of the day it all means NOTHING to me when Im treated like I dont matter. Learn BASIC customer service skills and stop wasting peoples time! Unreal...

Update: Was contacted by the company after leaving the review, there was miscommunication and due to poor weather the past month and a half they werent able to come due to being close to power lines. I appreciate being reached out to to rectify the situation.Received a quote for tree trimming in August for trimming in the winter. When they told me they were coming in December, with one days notice, I said it wasnt a good time. I called back a few weeks later to reschedule to find out they canceled the trimming. Was then told they would reschedule. Its been over a month and a half and still havent heard back.

Weve had a rough week. My normally healthy husband has been in the hospital for a week, my son woke up with an ear infection this morning, and a large tree branch broke during the night and hung precariously over my lawn. I called Davey Tree Service to see if they could come out, had to run it by my husband (still in the hospital), and burst into tears because of the stress. While at the doctor with my sick son, I received a message the tree branch was taken care of. More tears. Thank you so much. The kindness showed to my family was the lone bright spot in a terrible week. Youve made a fan for life and I will recommend you every chance I get.

Fixed my problems left by another company.

This company does not send out the mandatory neighbor notifications before spraying very dangerous chemicals. My family and pets are exposed several times each summer, and I dont even have the opportunity to limit our exposure by closing the windows. When confronted staff from Davie lies about sending notices. Unethical company refuses to do the right thing.
