If you need a place to sleep, you definitely have that! Unfortunately, its a shelter and on the west side of Lancaster. The amenities are there to get you by, they arent trying to make sure youre comfortable.

Never been ther but the person running it said they do have hot showers but the homeless are only allowed to stay for 30 days. Just. Awful for the homeless except they do get a hot shower

This place is founded and ran by an ex veteran on a complete power trip. I have no problem with veterans with my family being some, however the homeless are not military recruits in boot camp. We are treated like dirt here by the owner and have to walk on eggshells around him and the property because of how strict he is about rules (again I have no problem with rules). Because if we break just one or try to voice any sort of opinion (or even try to discuss an issue to try to meet a mutual agreement) we get treated like criminals and can even lose our bed. With nowhere to go we come here seeking help, not to be put down like a dog and be treated lower than dirt. I certainly didnt learn that lesson in church.

I gave a homeless guy a ride there. I saw him the next day and he told me the place is roach and bed bug infested. He said he would rather freeze or live in a tent than be treated the way he was treated. The side of the building says Mercy rejoices over judgement. From the stories that I have heard about the place I wonder if that is really their motto. Do homeless shelters like this really help people or enable them?I am grateful that God has blessed me not to ever live in a place like that.

The reason I give you one star is because when someone is homeless trying to get back on their feet, you dont turn them away because they work second shift. Knowing they have no where to sleep. And also your place reminds me of a jail environment.
