Tread carefully when buying a home from this agent. He does not respond regularly, nor does he abide by deadlines, unless of course, it’s the buyers deadline, he sticks to that! We have been trying to finalize our sales agreement since January 3rd. I received an email from Remax’s attorney advising me to take down my reviews and refrain from posting anymore factual comments (no, that is not a typo). The last time I checked I was still entitled to my 1st amendment rights. Part of our agreement was that I owe an additional good faith deposit (which, upon their request is non refundable) once the inspection contingencies had been worked out (this was expected to happen by 2/1), but due to Mr Gomaa’s inability to respond in a timely fashion, we still don’t have a signature from the sellers. However, today Mr Gomaa messaged my realtor because he was angry that the additional deposit had not been sent. So he wants me to send a no refundable payment without having a signed agreement? Talk about unethical!
