Is there any place better than here to get meat in Fairfield County Ohio? That would be no. Its well worth the hour drive to get it for me.

As far as getting groceries there, it will do in a pinch. I thought prices were high, but Im from a small town, so this may be the norm for the city. But you have to go in to see the architecture. It is beautiful. A very nice employee told me the history of the building and about the city. I think he said built in 1908 as a bank.

I absolutely love this place. The prices are competitive but their meats are beyond approach. Fresh and none of that weird deli taste from sitting so long like the grocery stores

Meat Dept is proficient. Store is all business and gets the customer what they need. What they lack in being totally friendly is offset by the best quality food that can be purchased.

I have been a customer for the last 10 years, the other day I went in to buy my monthly supply of meat. I was appalled at the display of employees wearing their mask on their heads instead of across their mouths! I almost walked out! I purchased my meat reluctantly and I will not be returning until this pandemic is over. I will miss my quality of meat but when service workers display such unprofessional display of rebellion over trying to stop the spread of this virus I cant in good conscious shop there!

I really enjoy the quality of the meat and shop itself has a nostalgic quality. The staff is helpful and they carry a small variety of treats and sweets that you wouldnt necessarily find in most places.

Outstanding meat market. They have custom meat cuts for the asking. Order two t bones or fifteen call them, order it, pick up it delivered, cook it then enjoy it.This family has been in the Lancaster community for ever. It is truly a family affair. Carvenal Foods was owned and ran by the Bays family. There stores were in the surround area as well.Want a trip to the past just stop by see for yourself.

Best meats in the county. If youve never had Jowl Bacon you must get a pound when you stop by here. Have it cut a little on the thicker side and fry in cast iron skillet over lower heat to your desired crispiness!
