It was good. The student did good. my son is happy with his haircut and what I like is that theres always a teacher checking their haircuts to make sure that the student do it correctly

Great cuts for cheap from student barbers. Be sure to tip, these guys dont get paid for cutting and they have a tuition to pay.

I have been bringing my boys here for years, nothing but excellent service! This gives the students an opportunity at hands on training and customer service! They are great with small children. Most importantly Champ is always seen at the facility or available to answer any questions. Very satisfied and would recommend this service. $5 a cut is unbeatable!! Again I believe in supporting those learning the Skill/Trade.

As a Student, I truly love attending CBS. The Instructor & School owner (Champs) both help each student on each academic needs. • Students cutting for $5. The atmosphere was very clean and had typical barber shop talk. It had an old fashion 60s 70s type feel, very enjoyable. About 4 barbers were cutting at the time I went.**I was visiting my sister and ran into this shop. I wish I had before pics. 7/6/19 cut & 7/8/19 pics. He had a mini fro and wanted a little off the top and faded alway around. Wish I could have picked between 2 others who could cut nice...smh at his barber😫. **

I came back to lancaster about a year ago with the intention if shopping barber schools in the area. A dear friend of mine brought me directly to Champs Barber School! The all around experience has been great. I have made some life long connections and despite some bumps in the road... Covid the instructor, owner, and administration has made my time at school amazing. The staff did a great job of putting together online learning while on lock down due to the pandemic, and while at school the actual time I have spent on the floor I managed to learn how to cut hair well. I look forward to going out into the barbering community and making my mark. I feel prepared for my boards and and more than prepared for my waiting station @ Baron Barbers in Manhiem PA. Just stopped in for a cut 1 guy cutting 1 guy getting a cut. The guy cutting says were closed when I go in so why is the door open I said isnt it til 4. He said hes the only one there so he says when they close

I like this place because I can get a great cut for $5. The wait is usually on the long side, since a lot of parents bring their kids to get done all at once, but it has always been worth it. Champ is a really great guy, and most of the students really know what they are doing. They are good at understanding what I want and are pretty fast. I have never had a bad haircut. If you are on a budget, give it a try!

Reading the negative reviews here gave me a good laugh. These are STUDENTS. They are LEARNING. And to be fair my haircut wasnt amazing but for $5 the fade was on point and my barber was confident and friendly.Sheese people, you want to look like Adam Levine or something go pay $30 for a haircut lmao.Anyway some of the reviews here are old. I came in and within 20 seconds I had a seat. Plenty of students and plenty of customers still coming in.

My barber was awesome. He was confident, knowledgeable, and did a great job. Champ signed off, and it was a great experience. The barber school is a great approach to empowering future barbers, and a great asset to the community! I’ll be back for a ‘fade to one’ soon.

I just moved into the Lancaster area, so it was a big step for me to find a new barber. I went to another place, but was unimpressed with the service and the haircut. Several of my coworkers suggested I try Champs, which is a short walk from my office. Boy I was glad I did.The service at Champs is great, the students are dedicated and focused, and they took the time to get the cut exactly how I wanted it. And you definitely cant beat the price!

They are students learning to cut. Use to be $3.00 a cut but I now heard its $5.00 a cut. There sometimes a long wait, but it is worth it. If I was you, I would definitely come out and see. Even $5.00 is a damm good price!

Had an amazing barbor

I love this place. The students take their work very seriously and give a great cut. I have gone to the Black Comb and a few other shops in Lancaster, but Champs is my favorite.

(This is a Warning!)This place is very disrespectful to their clients, I get there 30 minutes before they close for a shave, and they stopped me from trying to sign the sheet and start telling me that theyre closed early today because theyre short-handed, I already paid the parking meter, so whos going to pay me back for that because theyre lazy and dont feel like working until their normal business hours? If this is how they treat their clients, then Im not interested in taking Barber classes here, I have a higher standard of service for my clients than they do, apparently.

Worst haircut ever. I could have done much better (and have) in my bathroom mirror. I have been visiting in town and needed to get my beard and my head shaved bald (how I usually wear it). In spite of a clear conversation about what I wanted, they merely gave my head and beard a rough buzz and trimmed my sideburns to be grossly uneven. The hair cut itself hurt, and immediately after leaving the shop, the skin on my face and neck quickly turned red with irritation. As soon as my trip is over, I will have to fix it. Meanwhile, I will just hope that nobody notices.

First thing, they are students for you people that want to be negative if you feel you have to have a great cut find a barbershop. I have gone there for cuts and the instructors make sure your cut is right before leaving the chair.

Cant beat a $5 haircut, and these guys really know how to cut a fade! Downsides: sometimes you wait up to an hour to get a chair, then your cut may take an hour (but hey, theyre students remember), and the rotating class means you have to explain exactly what you want to someone new every time.

Price of $5.0O is very fair, but the haircut is a hit or miss situation depending on who cuts it.Also, school advertises open until 3:00 on Monday. I arrived at 2:17 and denied a haircut; they said it was too late.I’ll go elsewhere.
