Rude people. They lost my marriage licence TWO times. Yes not just once but twice. They required full payment each time. So by the third time they required us to start from scratch and basically get married again, this is 4 years later by the way. And yes, we had to pay again. So $300 and 4 years later we finally have our official marriage certificate. Screw you California government.

Once i walked in, seeing it is not a huge over crowded chaotic building that i have come accustom with, was a relief. The security guard is attentive, keeping the line assemble in a orderly manner and taking notice of what people needed to do, for why they were there, before they end up standing in line to long. He was quick on task, very helpful and straight forward. My sorrows of the unexpected death of my deaf daughter was reason why I was even there, thank you for making a necessary task thats basically simple in everyday life, but i was barely getting by. That help and the quick flow of handling of the people, deserves a 10 plus. And would like to add, The lady at the counter was very kind and no rudeness that Ive experienced in other districts in government buildings from stressed workers, such as the DMV, so thank you very much for being respectful and not rude at all, or up tight.

I’m so angry right now, the website says that it is open I drive an hour and a half away and I get here to a sign that says closed until further notice. They should at least keep their website updated

Just letting anyone who needs this information. This office is closed even though it says open here. I drove an hour to this office today just to find a big white piece of paper saying, “closed until further notice”.

I was dreading having to deal with a government office to get a copy of my daughters birth certificate. When I walked in I was greeted by a security guard who asked if Id filled out my paperwork online. I had so he lead me directly to a clerk who took care of my paperwork while engaging me in a pleasant conversation. I was in there less than five minutes. I was pleasantly surprised as you can imagine. The office was bright, clean and the employees friendly and competent. It was hard to believe I was a in county government office.

We didnt have to wait hardly at all, only 1 person was a head of us. The lady was very helpful not only for the DBA filing but helped us map out what we needed to do next with addresses. Not so scary after all.

Office is really nice, didnt wait long to get seen. . However, the service sucks . The security guard was friendly and directed me but the girl in the window was horrible . Didnt seem like she wanted to be there and didnt help at all . I wanted to see if I could make changes in my birth certificate but told me I had to mail forms in the mail to Sacramento. Which I had an idea of and had the forms printed out so they could direct me or tell me if I was filling them out correct and just kept saying to call customer service and if there is mistakes they would mail it back. Duh the whole point of her job it to help people or at least ask coworkers . But not rudely just dismiss me, she didnt even try .

People are nice but the policies are lame. Don’t believe the hours of operation because they stop servicing certain items WAY before the times listed on their website and their door. I now have to take another day off early from work... -__-

Given that you have a plan of action before you step into a government office this office os well equipped and well staffed. The staff is very helpful and informative. I am certain if you treat them as other human beings and not a governing entity they will exceed your wants and expectations.

It was amazing smooth sailing to pick up my records here, I was prepared for the hassle that comes from most government offices, but the gentleman at the door was a great help, and when I needed clarification, he didnt make me feel foolish. The lady at the window was very professional and quick, I was in and out in 15 minutes. Good job.

I highly appreciated your nice and fast services at the counter. However, I had to move 2 hours away after I requested for my certificate. I asked whether I can call in advance to check if my certificate is avilable for pick up or not and they gave me a number. Six weeks later I call 3-4 times a day for 5 days. Nobody pick up the phone..... cannot leave a msg..... no call back....cannot check online..... finally I have to drive 4 hours total just to know that my certificate was not yet available. Feel like living in a 3rd world country.

I order my birth certificate. I was told it would take 15 to 20 days it has been about 45 days and I still dont have it and I was told they absolutely do not do refunds. I managed to find my original now I want my money back they havent provided the service they were supposed to render yet they expect to keep your money his is inherently wrong

The absolute worse customer service Ive ever had. I have been there 3 times in the last week and its been the same experience every time. First, the security guard who works there is beyond rude and very loud about it, making you feel like a fool. Then the lady at the window gives a smug face the entire time, as if she hates her job and doesnt want to be there and gives attitude every time you talk. If I could avoid going here I would!

I had to get a certified copy of my grandson Birth certificate as he lives in Las Vegas NV and is trying to become a police officer for metro pd, he has lived his entire life dedicated to becoming a police officer, I was extremely surprised at how well managed this office is and how kind the employees were from the security officer who showed me where to start and clerk who helped me. great job, my baby is well on his way.

I had the option of going to the LA courthouse and opted for this location even though it was an hour further. Good decision, I was in and out in 10min. And avoided LA traffic!

Not sure why they chose that woman to handle phone calls, she is very rude and seems to be slow in the head. Im certain it was the same woman that hit my car while opening her car door as well.

Hours displayed are not accurate to the hours they operate. Get there before 4:00 or they will not do anything for you. It was a little disheartening to find out that I had wasted my time and gas money to get there by 4:00 only to get turned away even though they are supposedly open still.

We went to 2 different places to try to get our marriage license before going to this office. We were in and out in under 15 minutes. Great experience!

If you have ANY complaints about this office just visit the one in Van Nuys and Im sure you will QUICKLY thank God for the ladies in the Lancaster District Office. No one is perfect! But, I drove 45 mins PASS the Van Nuys office to get to Lancaster. GREAT SERVICE...quick, professional, and quick. Did I say it was quick?

Horrible service. Made an appt for 11:30 and was told the person to help me has gone to lunch. So I get to wait here for a half hour for her when I should have been in and out. Worst business ever! The security guard doesnt care either, he totally shrugged it off like hes not wasting anyones time.

The wait isnt long but the customer customer service is awful. Everyone of the clerks are terrible people that clearly hate their jobs and take it out on the customers. Luckily we dont usually have a reason to go there.
