Been going there 20 years.... I moved to State College and still come back here for haircuts...

I have driven by this place since I moved the the area in 2013 and on 12/27 I should have kept on driving! Out of convenience, i stopped for a hair-cut. I explained to the lady what I always get and even told her that if she will use this type of clipper it will do most of the work and I prefer that one. I close my eyes ( thinking that is universal code for I just want to be quiet and have my hair cut) but she starts in on her daughter and shopping and on and on. After not using the clipper I had described, she spins me around for my TA-DA which is a total TA-DON’T. I inquired about the length that was left and she didn’t shape up my top. She spins me around and tells me that is a totally different cut and now she has to give me a second hair-cut. I told her it wasn’t necessary. She says “no no but if you want a military high and tight and not a bald fade you need to know the difference”. I don’t want a military high and tight. So she goes in for round 2, grabs those texture scissors and removes every bit of the hair on top all the while telling me why I was wrong. Not a bit of style to the dripping wet 6 strands of hair I have left she informs me it’s cash only. At least I will save money on hair product waiting for it to grow-out!

Nice quaint location thats been in business for a long time. Went there once, people are friendly but I wont go back. I was looking for a good old fashioned barbershop & this wasnt it for me.

On this day, December 27th, whoever the lady working by herself at night was. CAN NOT CUT HAIR. Showed her the same picture I usually show everyone else that works there and she absolutely butchered it, she was to busy rushing and cut wayyyyyy to short. Business isn’t not just about making money, it’s also about the relationships you make with you “clients” . Will NOT be returning ever again. - Hershey
