I own a Grumman Tiger and bought an STEC autopilot from a Grumman-specific maintenance shop that was removed from a plane for an upgrade. It was working fine at the time of removal and was guaranteed for 30 days after it is installed. I called numerous avionics shops in the southern California area. Jeff was the ONLY one that would install it for me. It has been working flawlessly for the past 12 years. I wont go anywhere else. He does top notch work, really knows his stuff, and charges a fair price. Hes the best!

Had Jeff install a Panel GPS in early 2000. Almost 20 yrs later, it was having issues. It would periodically turn off and then back on in flight and I would have to reenter my destination. I was gonna send it in to Garmin when Jeff called me and suggested I ck the backside of the tray and tighten both the main pin connector screws prior to sending unit back to mfgr.He was CORRECT! That did the trick. Experience trumps again!Thanks Jeff. You are a straight shooter and a pleasure to deal with.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR AIRPLANE ANYWHERE ELSE! Our school fleet of 5 Pipers, all Garmin GPSd, ALWAYS go to High Desert Avionics for ALL their avionics needs. We make the trip from Santa Monica for however small the repair needed is. The extra distance cuts our avionics costs in half because the fix is always good, on time, the compliance paperwork is always completed right there on the spot and in perfect legality, and the shop rates are better than reasonable. Been doing this for 7 years with no desire to do it any other way.
