Pleasant staff and they seem to be thorough but prices are too high. Quoted $140.00 to put on 4 brand new tires I provided. I had the tires put on for $10 per tire at a different place. Also, they have 2 indoor cats in the waiting area which, Im fine with, but if youre allergic be aware of that. Just read the reply and I did have service at your location. I had a radiator flush for $240.00 plus dollars when I enjoyed the cats and received the $140 quote for the tires. And, yes, I chose to get that work done elsewhere.

Since moving to this area, Ive taken my Honda into KMS Auto Repair on multiple occasions. All of their service technicians are extremely kind and highly professional. Im always eager to understand the issues with my vehicle and theyre all so very willing to explain to me in laymans terms exactly what theyve discovered and how they intend to resolve the issue. Ive always been called and given a quote prior to the work being done, which is highly generous as its important to me that I work the cost into my personal budget. Theyve replaced my brakes and rotors in the past and have since replaced my crankshaft position sensor. They were concerned that they didnt want to purchase this new part if it was unnecessary, in an attempt to save my money, which was greatly appreciated. Yet, my car truly required this replacement as it wasnt starting as easily as it should, it was idling high and sometimes it was shaky & almost stalling on me. They do a super job of testing the after product of their work to ensure that it is truly fixed. I dont live far from KMS; thus, theyve always gone above and beyond by bringing my car to me after its been fixed when I have no ride. Their pricing is WELL ABOVE reasonable in my mind, and for once, I feel confident that Im not being ripped off in the least, yet that theyre assisting me in doing things for such a SUPER price! Ive never felt so comfortable with any other auto repair shop that Ive used in over twenty years when I lived in the Charlotte area. Had I found somebody like KMS in my past, my AAA would tow my car free of charge from here to Charlotte; instead, I wished that Id had my vehicles towed to THEM the entire time that I lived in Charlotte!!! They also sent me pictures of how badly my rotors were, so that I could visually see for myself - and they were AWFUL and in dire need of replacement. I highly respect Steve Koss and his entire team and I will never take any of my vehicles to anyplace other than their shop! I shall also recommend KMS to everyone that I know when having car troubles!! I could continue on and on with my rave reviews - A definite 5+ star rating from me!

KMS did a great job on modifications to my Jeep Wrangler. Everything looks great! The custom suspension, lift kit, tires and rims were just what my daughter wanted. They did everything really quick and thorough. Would highly recommend to anyone needing work on their car or truck.

After finding out my car (just purchased) had bent wheels in the front I went to Steve for help. The wheels were aftermarket that came on the car so I had some serious decisions to make. Steve knew why the wheels bent and recommended a different route for the new set. The car runs amazing now. No worries going over pot holes, I dont even have to engage the sport suspension with everyday driving. No more scraping ! The wheels that came on her were nice but not very functional. Dialing her back to the OEM 19 has made her not only handle better but not having to worry about your typical Carolina roads is a weight off my shoulders. The new wheels and tires are perfect! Props to Steve and his crew!!

I was referred to KMS from car club Waxhaw Coffee Cruisers - 1986 Porsche 911 for 22 years I had no air conditioning - no more blows great! Did a number of other maintenance items bearings, plus etc...outstanding service and communication these guys are Car guys! Steve (owner) and Super JJ know there stuff and will be customer for life. Was quoted one price and came in 30-40% less - honesty and integrity on display. The 9 double 1 is running great now thanks you gentlemen!

KMS Auto is the only place I take my vehicle or my kids vehicles to get repaired or even for lift kits, tires and rims. They are always friendly and professional. They explain everything in detail to me and they have always fixed every issue with my Jeep at a very reasonable price. If you are thinking about weather to take your vehicle there to get it fixed or lifted JUST DO IT! You wont be disappointed!

UPDATE: Turns out that the timing belt they installed on my Toyota Highlander was installed incorrectly. Each cam shaft gear was 1 tick off. I took my car back and they diagnosed something different. Eventually took it to the dealership to get it fixed correctly. The company refuses to take my phone call. The car now runs like it did before I took it to them. All the other parts they installed appear to have been installed correctly. This was an additional $600+ dollar expense I had to incur. I would seriously consider only smaller jobs lie breaks and oil changes if you are considering KMS.I was mostly pleased with my service. I had purchased parts to do a timing belt and water pump on a my wifes old car. The tech was thorough and showed why some of my parts should not be used. I went with their recommendation. When I picked it up it wasnt right. A hose clamp on the air intake was loose. The decorative cover wasnt tightened down and it ran like a cylier was dead. The brake job was good but I dont think they payed enough attention to detail at the end. They did end up fixing it but I had to pay extra. I dont think I would take it there again. your milage may vary.

I recently needed my suv serviced. I reach out to KMS and was greeted with a quick response asking what it was I needed. They helped me decide what tires maybe better for my needs. They ordered them and by the next day they took and aligned my suv changed the oil and mounted and balanced a new set of tires. It was nice to have someone to take the time and make sure my needs were met accordingly. They even followed up with me later that evening and next day to make sure I was satisfied with their services. Thumbs up!

My car was vandalized and was towed this repair shop after recommendations from a good Samaritan. I could not be more pleased about the service I have received and I will definitely recommend this shop to everyone. I was so lucky in my not so good luck. Had Steve and team put and MBRP cat back exhaust on my 2018 camaro SS. Man it sounds awesome. I called him not knowing what I wanted and he help guided me to this product. KMS has had every opportunity to take advantage of me. When I was new to SC I took my car in. They called and told me there was an issue with my gear box (4x4 shift) and it would be around $1000 to fix. Im freaking out because thats a lot of money. I agreed to pay and told them to fix it. About 30 minutes later they called me back to tell me they fixed the issue. It was just stuck in 4 wheel drive or something along those lines. I asked how much I owed and was told nothing and that I could come get it. A complete lifesaver. I trust these guys to do whats right. I have since had a few things done here and each time its fast and reliable. Plus I dont have to worry about being ripped off.

The guys at KMS are great. They replaced the transmission in my 2002 King Ranch a couple years ago. Got three estimates including Ford dealership where I bought it. Steve beat the next lowest price by a $1000. Runs and looks like it did when it was new. Does all the maintenance work on my wife’s 4Runner also. Drop them off at 9 and they’re always ready by lunch time. Why go anywhere else?

Had KMS replace my gears. Gears were not installed properly. Have to have it geared again. Tried several times to contact Steve Koss. He dodged my phone calls on several occasions. Had to go through my 4x4 shop to get in contact with him. How he still remains in business is baffling to me due to the very poor customer service and unwillingness to make this situation right. DO NOT DO BUSINESS with KMS auto. It will only cost you more money to have someone else fix what they screwed up.

Very good place to take ur vehicle if u have a mechanical problem. They explained everything in detail what they were gonna do. They stand behind their work. He also helped me out on some more things I wanna get done 2 my truck. The work also came with a warranty. I suggest if someone needs some work done 2 their vehicle 2 take it there.

Ive had a good bit of work done by KMS and always have had great service. They have installed a 4inch suspension lift on my jeep and also replaced the radiator and thermostat. They are great people and have great prices.

I took my Honda odyssey to them to get my passenger door shut and unjammed. They got started on my van right away. They are fast and efficient. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Best prices in town... On the phone. Then you spend 40 minutes driving in and they tell you itll be 75% more, with no justification whatsoever. Wont make that mistake again!(P.S., they must have me confused; their response is not correct. Called ahead and was quoted something $70 for a 4-wheel alignment, went in and the manager hemmed and hawed and turned it into $120. Something about their busted 1980s rack being the same as the Mercedes dealer. I left. FYI, Andys Automotive down the street actually has a Hunter laser rack.)

Don’t do it. They don’t pay attention to detail. My new truck bumper rattles, the new tires they put on had to be balanced 3 times and they still couldn’t do it so I took it to a real tire shop. The worst thing they did and this goes back to their lack of detail, they put in a front end spacer, today while driving my steering link came off because they forgot to put the cotter pins back.

Great experience. i got a lift kit at an under-qualified shop and it resulted in an endless list of issues that i was told were irreversible. Apparently not, the guys at koss had my silverado steering and driving perfectly in less than 3 days. great shop. knowledgeable staff. highly suggested

I wish I could give 10 stars.This morning, I had a flat tire that needed patching. My donut tire was also low on air. I was expecting to drop off the regular tire and wait 10-20 minutes to get the donut inflated, Instead, a, friendly, Koss tech, IMMEDIATELY, inflated the donut while another tech plugged the TWO holes in my regular tire. These guys are CUSTOMER SERVICE SUPERSTARS!!!The next time I need an oil change and new tires, I am driving straight to Koss!!!!!
