I just stopped in today for a pair of new skates. At first I was put off by how small the place was (theyre moving to a place 3x bigger soon). But once I got help with the fit, my worries disappeared. They have mostly Bauer and Graf but they are well equipped, and very attentive to the fit of the boot on your feet. Modifications are included in the price of the skate. I finally ended up with a nice pair of topshelf Bauers from last season for 1/2 the price. Im super-pleased and excited to break in the new skates this Sunday.

I found this great little Hockey Shop just a few short months ago! I have 5 pairs of Mens Ice skates which all needed top be sharpened over time. Easy going, NO sales pressure to purchase additional items.It had been such a long time since I had my skates sharpened, I use to feel comfortable with a 7/8 edge cut but Jake recommended wed start at a 5/8 cut then adjust later sharpenings.Because of my Cancer, I said PUCK IT Im getting back to playing before I DIE!. Jake sharpened (3) pairs of skates for me & I couldnt be any happier with the results!Super Kool owner, understood & allowed me to bring in my 3 yr old well trained & behaved shihtzu (Cant leave her home or in the car).Worked a deal to transfer some excellent TUUK blades from one pair to another, so happy to do so vs buying a bran new pair at this time.I took advantage of some deals (Perfectly Used Black CCM 852 Tacks helmet & a NEW Multi-color scheme Jersey.Whenever my hockey buds ask where is a solid place to get their skates sharpened,Im sending them to JAKES in El Segundo.Might be a drive for some, but I try to time it where I get my skates sharpened then go play at the LA KINGS practice rink.This location is in a busy shopping strip mall so parking could be a challenge on the weekends.Gary Silver
