Horrible warehouse. If your reading this and your coming to this warehouse u still have a chance. Cancel your load and find a better warehouse. I Checked in @ 9:00 pm for my 10 pm delivery @ mclane northwest. It is now midnight. Still have not given me a dock. I walked up to security 3 times to question about when I will receive a dock. I was yelled at and told there docks are full of mclane trailers and that it will take them time. Ridiculous worker here do not kno how to speak with respect. AVOID THIS WAREHOUSE!!
Yup its a mess, the guardcheck is extremely rude doesnt know how to give directions and not safe at all. Hes a old guy which patrols car. Do not enter the facility prior to checking in. Their so called staging area is perpendicular to the warehouse near the Railroad Track. No contact, fill forms for covid 19, back up chock the wheels, put your seal and paperwork in the back of trailer, the lumper will either call you or text you for the amount. Capstone, superbussy, came in for my 10p.m. appointment on Sunday, still no luck getting a dock yet, and 7 trucks waiting for dock, super tight spot. When going through train track watch out for ditches and deep steel track. The docks are super tight not for Rookie at all!. No truck stop nearby, just a mall around 3 miles (bassProshop)
Terrible location. They can never get you offloaded within a reasonable amount of time. It takes at least 9 hours each time and you can never reach receiving. Never come here. It’s better to get laid over wherever you’re at then coming here with any load.
One of the worst place to deliver or even pick up load . Advice to truck drivers ask your broker where you going to Lakewood McLane. Simply drop the load . Came in 11.30am left 9.30pm
The warehouse staff was very professional and courteous. The unloading process was way to long. I sat here for 6 hours. The loading dock area is tight and narrow. Hard to turn around or back in into the loading dock door.
All the reviews are on spot total nightmare stay away strongly advised
Checkin is at the east side Mclane building. Do not enter. Park wherever you can on the street (not allowed to park in front of their driveway. See green marks that’s where I saw trucks parked) walk to the Checkin place which is a guard shack right in front. Then they will call you to let you know where you have to go for your dock. Could be that facility or the one on the left see pic. I got the one on left and it’s a very tight space. So tight that another truck tried to park next me and hit my door while I was parked damaging my hinges. I arrived at 7:20 pm. Got a door at 8:00 pm. Was done by 9-9:30 pm. $75 lumper fee. We had a smooth experience besides the damage to our trailer.
I strongly recommend to truckers don’t come to this McLane distribution. My appointment is for 8:00PM . I came here 7:30 pm and I’m still waiting for dock to assign me time is 11:20 pm. Security guard is very rude. They don’t deserve even 1 star .
I have to wait 10 hours to be unload, the car security following you like you’re a delinquent. 160$ lumper fee, this is the worst place to unload. No parking overnight, not restrooms.
To my fellow owner operatorsBeen in this place 1 time was BAD, give it another chance was Worth, it a all night deal no sleep very tight reverse for 273 wheelbase truck, And super annoying security guy over there,,This load not worth the money even if it look like it a good pay load, stay safe
In order to get into this facility, you need to park on the street. After that check with guard (old dude is really rude and unprofessional) check than she/he will give you dock no. Only than you can enter the facility. Do not come 30mins before your appointment. Honey Bucket around the building near car parking. Takes a long time for loads, if I have the option I will say no to this!
What takes so long? Pressure gauge shows empty for over an hour and still have red light. There are other truckers been here longer. Dont they know we are people too and have a life?
Anything with the word McLane attached to it is always a nightmare for drivers....consistently. coast to coast and border to border... this you can count on... until 3d printing can free us from in person delivery... we are stuck with each other....
My driver recently delivered load to Maclane Lakewood, WA. Took him 6hr to unload. After getting unloaded we tried to get detention from the broker(Pepsi logistics). They said the BOL needs to have in and out time on it. But when I drove back to Mclane in Lakewood to get this issue resolved. They were no help. They said they don’t write in and out times on BOL. This lady at the warehouse closed window on my face. I felt like I was not a human being. I was trying to explain my issue and she closed her window while I was talking. I have never ever felt this disrespected in my life. Without even listening to my problem she closed her window. Forget the money part of this issue. She has no idea how to treat people. Hopefully someone looks at this and takes some actions.
Very bad 5 hours loading time almost up to one hours waiting for paper work, not done yet still waiting, not pickup again from here…. Some people Waiting before me…. I’m give star -5
Worst place ever been here 8 hrs and still not unloaded and recieved paperwork
Work here if you like being treated like a slave.
Its a hot mess here. I had to ask 4 different people where I was supposed to check in and they were all unnecessarily rude. They could use some additional signs in lighted areas to direct drivers. There are supposed to be portable toilets somewhere but I havent seen any. Im also not sure who designed the back dock area of 9501 Lakewood Dr (building #24) but I would guess they have never seen a sleeper semi with a 53 trailer before and probably should find a new profession. Building the building 6-20 feet to North would have allowed decent maneuvering space and less accidents and damage to the retaining wall.
Typical Big Company bs got my door on time and sat 4 hours waiting to get unloaded and then they still charge a lumper fee. Can’t stand places like this
28 hours for load still waiting for paperwork no come for pickup
One of the worst Mclanes iv delivered too! 8pm Appt. 2nd drop, less than half a trailer. Paper work at 5am next day
This place is unreal, 7hr unload, think they unloaded one box at a time. Damaged a whole pallet then rejected it. Security knocks ony door telling me I have to pay the lumper fee and leave after they ran out my clock.. I say your seriously gonna charge for that..
This place is so poorly organized on checking in trucks
The worst receiver .took over 3 hours to unload. $355 lumper capstone logistics bad management
Had a 2300 appt. Arrived at 1600, checked with Lakewood PD as to where to park, was directed to a side street.I parked and went to sleep.1930. I heard a car horn and someone pounding on my sleeper.Old man with an attitude, dtiving around waking everyone up and demanding psperwork.Told him he can have my paperwork at 2230. Im going back to sleep
Less than one star not good place to deliver, don’t waste your time
Was going to work there, but got the run around from third party employer🤔
Welcome to a truckers nightmare. Get here early and prepare to have your clock run out before you leave.
Do a big favor your self if own operator do not come this place they are rude lack of respect for driver, the security guy believe that he works for NASA or CIA very unprofessional bad actitud, you ll be sitting at the dock for hours and hours
This place it’s man I don’t even have words to describe it starting with the sec ended up with the pep inside they’re so unprofessional,,in my opinion they need to train their pep to have a lil bit of manner specially to us Truck drivers they don’t even have portables toilets n they make us wait for so long I won’t come back here anymoreWait for so long at the end they didn’t take my load that’s a shame
Terrible place. Be ready to spend here a whole night. Security guy means himself like top management but he is absolutely unprofessional, unfriendly and unsafe.
My appointment time was 8 and they assign me door at 11 0 star to them and this is first time I was that location never want to come back here JUST THINK ABOUT IT BEFORE YOU COME HERE THEY WILL TAKE FOREVER TO UNLOAD YOU BEWARE RUDE SERVICE
Theyre even better than Fred Meyer Distribution Center Clackamas for overtime!
Bad place for delivery and pick up
I wish I could give less than one star not good place to deliver, don’t waste your time
Biggest issue here is getting in the dock, its tight. I was on the far end and the curve in the wall made it impossible so I had to offside in the door. Thankfully other drivers helped. Unhooked from my trailer and moved tractor to get a guy in on my right. There is plenty of room around the corner in the back to turn around if needed.
What a disorganized mess! No places to park on the street. Drivers somehow have to walk up to a mystery guard shack that isnt even near the delivery address. Eventually they call for a door, but that will be about an hour past the appointment time. Unloading took about 3 hours for 8 pallets. On a positive note, guard shack employee was nice.
This place is not the problem. The issue is can arrive no more than 30 minutes before appt. No overnight parking but parking at a Loves near by.
Going to start work there Monday
People are fine and nice but you gotta think if its worth coming here. By the time you leave its like 50 miles to a truck stop that MIGHT have a spot. No overnight parking.Backing into spots is a nightmare. Corporate Mclane needs new CEO.
Dont bother taking a load here. No overnight parking. Cant check in earlier than 30 mins and will take forever to unload. Was given a door and told to wait for current truck at the door to move and was told if I miss the guy moving out my position in line is lost. Waited 4 hours sitting on driver seat for the guy to move and another 3 hours at dock and another 1 hour for paperwork. Laziest people work here
Not bad I might say. Follow the truck route plastered at every street light after you get off I-5. Upon pulling up to the gate, I had an employee pull up to me in a golf cart to explain to me their company procedures(very convenient for a first timer here). Dont show up no earlier than 30 minutes prior to your appointment time. They will assign you a dock door. Caution, docks are very tight but doable! Open trailer door, throw paperwork(BOL) and seal inside your trailer, back in, chock wheels, and wait for green light or lumper to call you if you have any. All and all, it took about 3 hours which is typical with reefer deliveries. Great experience. Everyone was professional and courteous. Looking forward to coming back here again!
Plea.................se stay away from this place
No overnight parking, even though they only receive at night. Sometimes the industrial park security guy is cool, sometimes he isnt. (Would help a lot if drivers wouldnt trash the place. There are unlocked dumpsters everywhere. Use them!) Delivering two pallets; I already did the work and broke them down inside my trailer. They give me the dock with the most stuff stacked in front of it. Should have been a 15 min stop. Now it will take forever. Wasting my time
I worked here. Were always busy. If you like overtime come on board
Place is a joke ... Arrived for my 10 pm appointment, hit the dock at 11:15 pm .. put the paperwork in the back of the trailer as they told me to. Guard comes knocks on my door at like 1 am, says they cant find paperwork anywhere. So I pull up to look in the back of the trailer. Then they said to the guard, oh, we found it ! Going on 5 am, Im unloaded, waiting on paperwork.
The guards did not allow to turn around, they had to go in reverse, crossing the road, in the dark and in the rain.
Really Really bad service
SLOW!!! UNORGANIZED!!!!Over 3 hrs to take off 17 pallets of donuts. Charged $354 for lumper service. They had 5 empty doors next to me so they weren’t busy. Strict schedule for delivery and you can’t show up more than 30mins early. Barley enough room to back into doors. Rookie drivers beware. Never again. Stay away!!!!
This place starting from the security guard and the yard for truckers is not Truck friendly placeIf you are new driver don’t even try this place ... you will hate your job especially if you get 25,26,27 dock
After waiting in a staging/check in line, got to my door right on time - (give yourself an addition hour) - however it still took 8 hours to unload. No hygienic facilities, no sense of urgency and no communications except.... please stay in your truck
Not a good place 350.00 to off load trailer and 6hrs.not good here
It’s horrible place... tight dock.. mostly the Corner one coz of curve.. unpredictable unload time.. never come again here...
Horrible. No parking but cant be early, 9 hrs to unload 3/4 trailer and outrageous lumper fees. Hey at least you get a m10 hr break at the dock.
Worst cdl company to work for McLane is the McDonald’s of trucking ;big company with no regards to there workers . Will work you off the clock and overtime into your one off day then write you up for being tired. Not to mention they overload the trailer and then will no be responsible for ticket. Let me just say 10 hrs in Seattle to get paid 56 dollars on a load ... NO THANK YOU complaints can go on but do not let them lie to you . You will not have anytime for a life AT ALL, not even to sleep .
Delivered twice now, so far its one nightmare everytime. Expect to be there for at least 5 hrs. No early check ins. Must go to office at your appointment time. They will assign you a door just hope it isnt one on the end and no one is in a door next to you. If so, expect to blind back. They usually start unloading you about an hour after your appointment time. Trust me youll know when they start unloading you because they run those pallet jacks like its the Indy 500. Expect to get whip lash. Its a 50/50 chance they will damage some of your freight. Once theyre done they are supposed to call you. That doesnt always happen. Just better to go get your paperwork yourself, especially if its late at night. Oh and if you have to use the restroom, forget about it. No restroom available.
Very slow to. Offload and bring paperwork.
Frozen is easy to back into. Got door within an hour of checking in. People here are very mean.
I am here since 19:30 last night and still at door red light, now is 04:44 am.
Quick delivery. Very nice and helpfull security guy. Jkc
Check in terrible, sent 2 drivers to same door. Separate facilities for delivery, someone constantly honking car horn telling u that I can’t park, 4 different times. Arrived 40 min early didn’t get into door til an hour later.
This place is just like you would expect. BS. 5.5 hrs to get unloaded. Of course Im out of hours at 4:30am. Ask where I can park. 30 minutes later security comes knocking telling me I have to move.
Garbage and not a company !!!!
Love working here for Capstone Logistics
This place is such a mess to deliver at due to covid very unorganized and took over 2 hrs past appointment time just to get inside the gate
I had the appointment for 8 pm I was there at 8pm, it was 2 Am when I got the paperwork when I asked them to put the check in and check out time on the paperwork they put 1 am. Every time I had a question they were very disrespectful
This place is just trash! Makes the junk yard look like paradise to work for in comparison to this. If you want to work 8 hours just to barely earn $25 dollar for one load then you must he desperate. You can even make more money just standing out in the street holding a homeless sign then working here
This is a good, good company. Trucking company. The logistics staff are knowledgeable and GOOD in this world of work. There are many good things about this company, situated in Lakewood, WA.
This is one of my two choices for new employment. Decision to be made by 23rd March. Sutton Bulk Transportation is the other
Hope you have a day cab
Not a lot of places to park until your delivery time. But McLane itself, usually quick unload and they get you going. Tight place to back into to, just have to be patient.
Очень плохое место.ЕЩЕ МЕСТНЫЕ КЛЕРКИ ПОСТОЯННО ТУПЯТ.MOST BAD PLACE LOCAL WORKERS MAKE JUST VISION HOW THEY WORK,IN REAL THE BLACK LADY ON WINDOW (with tattoo)she creates line and make drivers nervous, her style show how she valuable, she make its in purpose, like this she feel her power.she not even touch paper till your appointment time.1-2 minutes.ITS NOT MY FIRST TIME HERE
Over 5 hours to unload 7 pallets and I thought Albertsons was slow unloading
Once checked in, really early, weekend guards bypass you not even acknowledging your there so you dont know if you have a door already or not.
Dont arrive too early.park outside gate on street check in 10 to 15 minutes b4 appt. It is a little tight.the lower the dock number the better. it gets tighter and tighter the higher the number.I had dock 12 and got lucky no trucks in 11 or 13.standard mcclane 2 to 3 hr unload.good luck.🇺🇸😸🇺🇸
Wouldnt recommend only for the fact that its a good place to get your truck hit by someone if your not watching the to ladys in the office were friendly.
I wont be delivering here again.
They were ok. The receptionist is a delightful young lady. Got me unloaded within the 2 hour allotment. Very little stage parking. No over night parking.
Amazing simply amazing they treat my mother with respect and all say great things.
Slow as death, you will get your 10 hour break on the door.
Good paycheck, hard work home life ballance. Good benefits if you stay. 401k matching. Lots of politics.
Stay away unless youre really desperate 6 pallets $164 4hours later I would give them zero stars if possible and there customer service sucks
Too long for few pallets. 7.5 hrs. Parking space is too small for most of the drivers. Lumper doesnt accept Visa or credit cards. I paid cash. No parking on day time.
Like always. A waste of driver time with no regard for logbook or drivers time. I will in the future always, always reject a McLane load. I was speaking to other drivers and they said they same. If you have a delivery here, get ready to waste your time and get stuck with no logbook and no where to go. But dont worry about parking because they have a security guard that will smash his fist into your truck door or window and tell you to move. This is garbage mclane. Learn to treat drivers better.
3 hours to unload 7 pallets and still counting
A little confusing. But I found the right building I was to unload at.
Unloaded within 2 hours. Tight fit, show up a little early to make it easier. Be warned about trying to park overnight around here, security will run you off. Go to Lowes if you need to finish a break.
The worst place, workers so lazy just care about money from lamper 7.5 h on the dock to get unloaded, I don’t know who take care of them . but this was first and last time here,
If you are delivering a reefer load, go here: 4823 95th St SW, Lakewood, WA 98499, its a few blocks away, across the street from Penske. Ring the bell at the door at the top of the stairs next dock door #1 (on the door it says: Authorized personnel only, restroom around back). Would it have killed them to make this information known, maybe put a Driver check-in sign on the door? Nah, why bother. Cold receiving starts at 9pm.
Delivery starts from 8pm till 2am. Dont waste your time trying to get here earlier and trying to deliver before your appointment. They may get you door 15 mins before your appointment. If you get earlier, there is staging area where you can wait some time. No restrooms. Tight to park but not that bad. Lumper fees (from january 1st no cash payments)In and out in 2,5 hours.NO OVERNIGHT PARKING.
Bit tight delivery, not for rookie but 2 thumbs up for crew wonderful peoples
For anyone that complains about wait times, I may be able to offer some clarity as a current lumper at this location:- Although you are dropping of 30 pallets, those pallets may break down to 50-60 pallets.- If you go to the wrong door, it may be blocked by the load of the truck next to you and will take some time to clear.- Some loads are timed loads. If a truck is not complete in that time, the lumpers will have to rapid unload the rest of the truck onto the dock and may unintentionally block your door.- Your truck may not be assigned to a lumper as soon as you bump the dock. if we are short handed, please be patient and rest assured we are working as fast as we can to unload trucks.- All lumpers are payed based of production, the more trucks we unload in the night, the more money we make. Please believe me when I say we are unloading as fast as we possibly can.As for customer service from the receivers, I can not speak to. I am not present when they are dealing with the drivers, however my interactions with them throughout the night are positive.I hope this helps.
