I’m usually posting great reviews when my family and I have receive fabulous service, but this was definitely NOT the case at North Lakeland Lawn Equipment. They were EXTREMELY dishonorable, and returned a well maintained, perfectly running riding lawnmower…BROKEN! Whatever they did has completely damaged it! It’s down right criminal when you trust a company with your business and they scam you. Our mower is less than three years old, and all I know is it never died, it always ran great, and now it doesn’t! So much for getting routine maintenance! If only we had gone somewhere else, so extremely disappointing! We hoped North Lakeland Lawn Equipment would honor their work, fix the problem and return the WORKING mower we gave them! But only businesses with integrity do that! If everyone would step up and let others know when unscrupulous businesses take advantage of their patrons, perhaps there would be fewer of them!
Tim is very knowledgeable. Great person to deal with. I will always try him first before heading to any big-bix stores.
I never shopped here as I was looking for a new lawn mower and they only sell parts and supplies, offer equipment service and repair

My father bought our mower and the rest of our lawn equipment from them about 15 years ago and now i own all of it and they have done great keeping all of it running and are very nice and do a great job helping with any questions we have about it. Great place to do any of your lawn business with.
The lady is very nice and professional(co-owner, maybe?) The gentleman we always see(the other owner, I think) has a real attitude problem. Went to pick up a lawn mower and pay him and we heard him complaining about us behind the door, thinking we could not hear him. Too bad, because weve been coming here for years but thats the last time.
Don’t use. High estimates for repairs. Keeps your equipment for months.
Great spot. They work on residential stuff and came recommended to me by a professional company. Takes some time to get it done but the job is done right and affordable.

BEWARE!!!! Called about an idle pulley and tried to give him a model number to see if he had it before I drove over there. He said he should have it and it would be easier to match it up. Get there and conveniently he must have sold the last one yesterday. The guy with the beard will try to sell you a part that in his own words may or may not work, if it doesnt you can try to make it work on your own!!! Wont take returns if you initially see that it wont work BEFORE you do any modifications to it. Uses a ball point pen to check and compare the diameter and bolt hole size of the part. Real precise in his measurements.Now I remember why I have avoid this place over the years, even though its the closet equipment shop to me.
I took item to be repaired in October 2020 and was given an approximate 6 week wait time. It is now basically February of 2021 and have not heard anything about my repair. Left multiple messages and no response. Very unprofessional!
Don’t waste your time.Had my item for a very long time, about 6 months or more. They said they could fix it when I dropped it off and gladly took my deposit.6 months later, different story.
Best customer service i have ever received. Family owned business highly recommend for all of your lawn equipment service needs. Very knowledgable and informed me that i needed to change my oil and changed it for me on the spot. Becky was AWESOME! She allowed me to bring my lawnmower after they had closed since she knew i was pressed for time. Even with there busy schedule they were able to get my mower fixed in a matter of a days. HIGHLY RECOMMEND W REASONABLE PRICING!! 😊😊👍👍

If I could give this place 10 stars I would. The owners of the store worked day and night before and after Irma to help people with their generators. They were extremely reasonable and so helpful. I cant say enough good things about this place. They have all my business for all my small engine repairs.With all the work they did for so many they still took the time to show me exactly what to do to keep my generator running perfectly. These people were my angels.

Prices are high, employees are rude. Highly recommend going somewhere else. Might be worth waking up and realizing why your business is slower than you would like. People want to be treated fairly and receive a good value. You provide neither.
Well this is difficult. I have a small lawn business and took several pieces of equipment to them for repair and was advised a tentative completion date. I called a week after that date and was advised it wasn’t done. I called a week later and it wasn’t done. I was told I would be called and could hear rudeness starting to show it’s self. Two weeks later I called and was told again it was not done, I advised that I was told a tentative completion date for very simple service and was told, “Well it’s not done”. So I paid for the work that was done and collected my equipment. The work done was adequate. Because the owner was so upset at me asking for my equipment for jobs I had, he told his worker to drop the stuff off at the door that I can push it to the trailer and shouted to me, “How’s that for customer service”. My wife that was waiting in the truck, asked why he was yelling at me. One piece was left and I was told it was torn apart and a new piece was needed. A month went by of calling and calling asking about it with the same, ”we will call you” being exclaimed. To this date almost a year later I have still not got the equipment back or call one. RUDE RUDE RUDE RUDE. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER SEEN. But to show karma is alive my primary job has equipment to service and since I have a small business they consulted me on a $80,000 a year service contract that was needed since the former place closed. They actually mentioned this place and I laughed and told the boss, “NO” and told him the story. He laughed and made a point to the other employees about customer service. I have gone out of my way to spread the word.

Horrible experience. The man that owns the shop is the rudest man I’ve ever met. I’ve never been treated with such disrespect, id literally rather cut my own foot off than go back to this shop.

Hurricane Irma really did a number on the 🌲 and power lines I am in rural North Lakeland and depending on a generator until power is restored .Our generator wasnt working very well North Lakeland lawn and equipment went above and beyond to help get our generator up and running after hours thank you thank you could not be more satisfied 😊

This is the worst place! Please dont take your lawn equipment to be repaired. They have had mine for 7 months no calls EVER! I have called periodically to check still no estimate. I told them I wanted to pick it up and now they want to charge me $65 an hour. for who knows what!!!! Still havent told me whats wrong with it,. Stay away from this place for repairs. Really upset. Really mad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I found the sales staff to be extremely helpful. I called about parts availability and the parts were waiting on the counter when I arrived at the store. The salesperson took time to answer my questions and the parts I needed were in stock.

OMG! I have never before seen a place of business treat people with such rudeness. I saw them handle two customers before me and almost walked out the door. When my turn came, I ask about a replacement chainsaw blade and they didnt have one in stock. I was actually glad. They said they could order it and after what I heard them say before, I just said no thanks and walked out. RUN FROM THIS PLACE!
They left my mower out in the rain for two weeks. Everything that could have rusted is rusty. The guy is an idiot with the social skills of a ape. I wont be back.

Excellent. / A++! These folks have been working VERY hard to get everyones primary needs for post hurricane IRMAs fulfilled. Working their normal shop hours dealing with getting everyone parts & taking in service items - then by night fixing units until 10-midnight or thereabouts nonstop since the hurricane. I picked my generator up at 10PM - after being well informed of what it needed, would cost & when itd be ready all along the way! Defiantly a first Ive had that level of service...Post hurricane & being lucky enough to have power they reprioritzed repairs by need (generators for folks with it power or a backup first). They were able to diagnose then fix mine in 2 days (offered to do it in 1 but I had found ice so deferred it for another day - hoping they could get some sleep). They did a fine job & its been running great since. They also got a part for my chainsaw in record time & have another part for a borrowed generator on order.So take it from someone that just happened to drive by, noticed them open & stopped in hopes of some help that they saved the day for + have worked in similar motorcycle & auto dealers parts & service. DO NOT HESITATE to take your lawn equipment parts & service needs to these folks. Its a small family own & run shop. They are very nice (no idea where the rudeness comment couldve come from). They stock a lot of parts, oils & supplies of all kinds & know where to get everything else ASAP. They do work for the county., contractors, you name it. Those folks dont frequent bad/overly expensive shops.How many other shops worked/are continuing to work around the clock like they are? Id bet very few - if any...The problem with these reviews is you only see the few folks mad because of some odd thing or another, Some people are never satisfied and or torqued for causes like their mower isnt ready when expected - due to the fact post hurricane fixes of generators, saws to clear trees off roads & the like took priority to mowers. Take a look - they havent even taken time to mow or fix their own wind losses (e.g. a front canvas shade) because theyve prioritized others needs over their own. Anyone that can gripe about that is a poor excuse for a human being - yet thats often what you see in most reviews as the satisfied customers just keep coming back again & again. Drive by & take a look. Theres usually a car or 12 out front. Thats the review you need to look for!As far as prices - they dont set parts prices. Stuff is just expensive these days. I found them quite reasonable. Their labor rates are posted & again are VERY reasonable. Anyone that thinks their high is totally clueless. Most shops I know of are considerably more.Give them a chance & Im sure youll be more than pleased & grateful like I am - thus why Im writing this... M Higgins
If I could give zero stars I would,Went to ask questions about issues was having with a mower and the rude person behind the counter would not even answer a simple question,offered to pick up the mower for $50, common courtesy goes a long way,had been doing business with them before, not anymore.

I TOOK 2 WEED EATERS IN FOR SERVICE RECENTLY AND AFTER SEVERAL CALLS AND 3 OR MORE WEEKS I GOT THEM BACK. THE FIRST WAS USED ONE TIME AND I COULD NOT START IT . I CARRIED IT BACK AND THEY KEPT IT ANOTHER 2 WEEKS AND SAID IT WAS DONE. I WILL SAY THEY FIXED IT THAT TIME. THE SECOND WEEDEATER WORKED FOR 50 FEET AND QUIT. I CARRIED THAT ONE BACK ONLY TO HAVE MORE SMOKE BLOWED UP YOU KNOW WHERE. THE OWNER SAID THE GAS WAS OLD AND THE CARB. NEEDED REBUILT. WHAT CAUSED THE CARB. TO GO BAD IN 50 FEET. HE WOULD NOT GIVE ANY ESTIMATE AND TREATS YOU THE CUSTOMER LIKE YOUR AN IDIOT. HE SAID THE NEW GAS THAT I FILLED THE TANK WITH FROM WAWA COULD HAVE BEEN IN WAWAS TANKS FOR MONTHS. HE USES EVERY STUPID EXCUSE FOR HIS POOR SERVICE. HE DID NOT WANT HIS EMPLOYEE TO HELP ME AS HE MAY LOOSE A DOLLAR. MY ADVICE BUY A NEW ONE FOR TWICE THE REPAIR COSTS AND LET THIS CROOK STARVE.

Very rude! Waited three weeks to get a pull rope replaced on a mower I had borrowed from a friend. They replaced a rope pull cord with a much smaller string. Charged me 70 bucks. Very poor business ethics.
Rude Rude Rude ! One of the most disrespectful and nasty businesses Ive had the displeasure of entering. Everyone I ask says the same thing. Prices are high to make up for the lack of return customers. If they were the last place to buy lawnmower parts Id cut my grass with scissors!
RIP OFF! I STATED UPON DELIVERY IF THERE WAS ANYTHING THAT WOULD COST ME MONEY TO LET ME KNOW BEFORE DOING ANYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Took unit in under warranty and told it had bad gas. Gas was 1 week old with Stabil added.Charged me $55 to get 2 week old machine back. Rude, jackass.
You wont find a better small engine repair outfit in the state of Florida.

Took my lawn mower in 44 days ago for something that should have taken 1-2 weeks at the most to fix, after at least 10-12 calls to find out what is happening with the repair I was always told they would call me back with an update of what was going on, I finally had to go there in person after waiting 44 days and get my lawn mower back, the owner Tim is the rudest, most unapologetic store owner I have ever encountered, how this business has succeeded over the years is beyond belief, do yourself a favor and take your lawn equipment anywhere but here, you will thank me later for not having to deal with this guy.

Very POOR service.....We took 2 lawn equipment to be repair...there 2 weeks after it was supposed to be return....One lawn mower quit running after 1 use and the other quit running after 4 uses...and a new carb kit on both mowers replace
