The credentials of this counselor are clearly stated in the counseling center website, brochure, and are clearly explained to every client at the beginning of every session with every client. Every client is clearly informed that anything or point of view that any client would not like to discuss or have discussed in any way that they do not agree with is respected by the counselor. Some clients may come to counseling not wanting to hear anything that disagrees with their point of view, and that is clearly respected by this counselor. We understand that some clients come to counseling for issues that are difficult, traumatic, emotionally concerning to them and this may disproportionately affect how they choose to interpret what is discussed in counseling and what they think they hear is not what was what actually said or portrayed. This appears to be the case with the one star reviews listed here. As stated earlier, all of the credentials for this counselor are clearly stated in several counseling center documents that this counselor is a Christian counselor, among several other credentials, and this counselor clearly, deliberately explains her credentials to every client at the beginning of every session, explaining each credential, including the credential of being a Christian counselor. There is no way that any client seeing this counselor would not have been informed that this counselor, in addition to her many other credentials, is also a Christian counselor. Note: the 1 star reviews are blatantly false and border on libel. The portrayal of these counseling sessions could not be more inaccurate.

Visiting Ann was a traumatizing experience for me. Nowhere on her website, or through my employers EAP program, was it explained to me that Ann is an evangelical Christian counselor. I came to Ann for advice on speaking to my family about a difficult situation and she told me to put my family dynamic aside and look at what God wants for my life. She told me that if God came back today I would not go to Heaven because I live in sin. After I spoke for 5 minutes she used the rest of the time to convince me that a relationship she knew nothing about was something I had settled for and was not Gods will for my life. She took one sentence I gave about my religious upbringing to shame me, tell me that my boyfriend was an agent of Satan, and tell me that because of my choices I would not go to heaven. If you see Ann be aware that she will bring her religion into the session if given any opportunity. She will not ask you questions about how you feel or what youre struggling with. Instead she will use her interpretation of the Bible to condemn you and try to convince you to change.
