Love this pace. This place is amazing. If you want an easy haircut, go here. Straightedge shave on the back of your neck, quick shoulder massage with every cut. Been going here for years. You’re in and out without a long wait. This is the closest to an old time, easy going barbershop since I left Iowa. Not even sure how I get my haircut anymore. They just know what I like and always take of me. Strongly recommend this place. Can’t recommend them enough.

So a miracle happened today as I like everyone else was long overdue for a haircut. I happened upon this Barber Shop while in Lakeland helping one of my daughters. It was not only a haircut it was absolutely the best haircut I have ever had in my 56yrs. I look forward to many returns here for the highest quality of service for an incredibly fair price. A classic barber shop and a Lakeland landmark business since 1928. Ive been getting my hair cut there since 1996 and I can honestly say Ive never had a bad haircut. Both of the barbers have decades of experience and know how to please their customers. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants a great, consistant haircut, at a reasonable price.

Sure, you see my photo and be like “ this dude is bald. Why is he writing a review for a barbershop?” Well what you don’t know is back in the day I spotted a sweet mullet do. I had beautiful glorious hair! Dating back to the 90’s. Now time has gotten the better of me. But, when I did have hair I only went to one shop, that was The Clippership. Marry and Linda are the best! Never once had a bad cut. Now I take my boys there for their cuts and they love it. My little guy has tight curly hair. No problem. They always hook him up right. I’ve never had a complaint except one. The place is so popular that the wait on a Saturday morning might be a little long. But that’s ok because the conversation is always engaging and sometimes hilarious. Give them a try. They are a Lakeland establishment gem. My dad went there, my brother, me and now my kids. You should too.

Despite this shop being talked up as an historical landmark in the area, I was disappointed when I walked in to find an unkempt shop littered with old magazines and filled with the sounds of one of the hairdressers parakeets. I gave detailed instructions for a cut Id received in numerous other shops, and it seemed as though this lady completely disregarded my requests. I ended up with a marine corps high and tight. Definitely not the classic barbershop experience I was lead to believe it would be.
