This company has no respect for their customers. And I quote this is the actual message I received from this insurance Agency (This is Kevin at Southern Family Insurance. I think what would be best is if you come to the office, and sign a cancellation request for this insurance, and take your business to another agency. I can only explain it to you so many times, I cant understand it for you too. Irresponsible, poor communicator, and cheats his own insurance company by recommending UNLICENSED electrician (and pal). I had to change agents to get my policy approved by its deadline. Kevin is rude, every time I’ve called he’s had an attitude and a slick response to everything I’ve asked. Had insurance with them for 3 years and when I asked for proof of insurance so I could switch to another agency they magically couldn’t find any of my past policies. Ive been dealing with Southern Family Insurance for at least 7+ years now. Its always a pleasure to get quotes for my auto since ever so often I like to check for the best pricing. They are always happy to help. I also have had the privilege of insuring our home thru one of their companies in the past. Most things are able to be handled over the phone but if you do have to go in the office its never a long wait. I am truly happy to have come across them since I live out about 45min away but worth every mile. Thank you for the wonderful customer service, which is a rare these days.

These guys and girl (Sarah) are the best in the Insurance business. They will go above and beyond to find you the best rates. They even took the time to print a document for me that I needed for an unrelated appointment I had later that day. I recommend giving them a chance to discuss your insurance needs and to allow them to give you a quote.

Numerous emails were sent asking for a copy of my policy. Coverage has been on this property for years. Despite e-mailing documents requested, I am still waiting.Update- After posting this review, I received a copy of the policy was sent. I also received an interesting email which I have attached below. This speaks volumes. The original email correspondence began several months ago. What I find unacceptable is how responsibility is shifted on the customer for not calling the office. Luckily, I have not had to make a claim on this policy. I can only imagine how that would go.REPLY FROM INSURANCE COMPANYI see that you your original email request on 5/1/19 to me, did you ever call the agency seeking assistance, or only this email???I see that you left a negative review on Google. I would like to ask you to remove the review as you only emailed asking for something without calling the agency. I was on vacation and when I got back, I took care of your request. Had you of contacted the agency directly, it would have been handled promptly. Please tell me how I could have helped you any better than I did? I prefer to use small insurance companies versus large chain corporations, and the prices are always affordable. Communication was my biggest issue with this company. I started a policy for my partner and I, which was fine with the person who started the policy for me. But, if I didnt speak directly with her, anyone else wouldnt allow me to do anything with the policy. It was aggravating because my partner was never available. We never got around to canceling our insurance with them either, because of course they wouldnt accept me canceling albeit I started the policy myself.

I said, Okay. Can you please verify your name ? He responded, Call YourOwnInsuranc ! I asked again for his name. He again responded, My name is CallYourOwnInsurance!
