Fly by the seat of your pants type of training. If you can’t keep up, you’re out the door.Management is hit or miss, some are very helpful while others couldn’t care less. Very stressful if you like to actually be trained and not like a rat through a maze. The pay is terrible for the amount of stress. Look elsewhere.
I started training 9/72021 for Goldman Sachs apple credit card, Tyrell was my trainer. I got fired the 3rd day into my 2nd week of training (There are only 2 weeks of training) Because I failed a test with a 75 but needing a 80. I passed the first two tests prior to taking the third. I was immediately fired and let go from the job and training on the spot. That same day I got an email to return my equipment. I will not recommended anyone in need of employment to work here.
I love my job I swear I do I’m currently trying to get all my friends a job with Alorica because they are truly amazing
I worked from home at Alorica at the Lake Mary site for a very brief amount of time during the covid epidemic. I decided very quickly that it was best for me to leave the company as I believed that the compensation for the position did not match the job duties. Let me tell all you job seekers out there who are thinking of joining Alorica my experience as I believe everyone going into this company has a right to know exactly what they’re getting into and the type of people they’ll be working for. I often read job reviews and since I am a believer in not wasting my time I like to see what current and past employees have to say about their time with any company. The training at Alorica was what you would expect it would be when training 20 people from their homes over a zoom call. A bit chaotic and confusing but that’s the times we’re currently in. I didn’t complain. Alorica, in my opinion, hugely underestimated their new training program and instead of changing the way they trained new hires just copied and pasted as if we were in the building. But as I mentioned before that wasn’t my biggest gripe. When I decided that Alorica wasn’t for me and left the company I got a surprise on pay day. We had a biweekly pay schedule yet I was only paid $50 for 4 hrs of work, missing an ENTIRE week of pay. During a pandemic. The first thing Alorica asked when I called inquiring about my money was if I was a current or ex employee. “Why does that matter?” I asked. And here lies my problem with this company. It seems that they are sabotaging their ex employees. During. A. Pandemic. A lot of people have been posing questions to employers like what are you doing for your employees during the pandemic. Well I’m telling you that Alorica is undermining their ex employees and hitting them where it hurts during covid. All future prospects of this company ask yourself is this the type of company you want to work for? And to those who have also been undermined please hit them where it hurts and file a complaint with your local department of labor office to make sure that this doesn’t happen to anyone in the future.
Most amazing company!! The staff is so friendly. And very Covid conscious.
I’m feel like the place is a scam. I see so many reviews about them taking parole information and then not giving them the job. Well that happened to me. Call me asked a few questions then told me to fill out some assessments, do a typing test and fill out an official application which asked for all my personal information. They also told me someone would call me for my second interview the next day . I did everything they asked. They even called me the morning of the second interview just to confirm and to make sure I was still on board. I said yes, then they never called me. I tried called the number they were texting me from and it’s a dummy number. Please be ware anyone else I really don’t think it’s worth it. I’m scared of what they have done with my information.
This company is an absolute JOKE they had me thinking 3 times in a row that I had a job and literally either quit talking to me and emailing me or submitted my info late and I literally just got an email last minute saying sorry we can’t hire you.
A list to detail me experiences with Alorica (Dell Pro-Support):- during training, half the class had left before we even made it on a call. the training courses cover about 40% of what you will have to deal with during an actual call and the rest you are expected to just learn on the fly.- Some managers are great and were willing to help you whenever you needed it (Jerri, if youre reading this, I hope you are doing well). Other managers will literally sit next to you and do nothing as you are clearly struggling during your training period just so they can chastise you later. Some managers will look at you like you grew a second head if you come up to their desk to ask them something and tell you to use Skype to message them instead. I had this happen to me on a few occasions, and Ive seen the managers get up and walk away from their computer MID-SKYPE CONVO while you are trying to ask them a question.- you are expected to give every customer a through and professional service to assist them in their issue, but then managers will glare at you if you spend more than 20 minutes on a call for a particularly complicated issue.- the workload that is put on you by this job is NOT worth the pay they give you. you could be dealing with 10 - 20 different cases at once while taking on more cases on top of that. Ive seen people with upwards of +50 CASES and if one of your clients calls back in within 10 days with a completely unrelated issue, guess what? That issue is now your issue even if the original issue was resolved and closed. Half an hour of case management time is not enough to manage this kind of case load. People who have over +40 cases shouldnt even be on the phones until they get their stuff sorted.- the amount of things that qualified as in-scope is WAY too vast and greatly plays into the training does not truly prepare you for the real thing issue. I feel if the floor was divided into different subsections with each section having its own sort of specialty, that would be a much better system than just hoping one guy can do everything. There should at the very least be a separate department for Microsoft Office related issues.- the tools you need in order to do your job break constantly. if it happens to you during the middle of a call, too bad.Alright, enough of the negatives, what about the positives? Well:+ The people I met during my training class were very nice.+ The food trucks that came during break were often very good and at a decent price+ the ping pong tableso basically everything that doesnt involve the actual job. I stopped working for the company last year, and honestly the day I left the company was probably my favorite day of my time being there. Im currently working at a much better job, with a much better pay and a much better environment. So I will wrap all this up with one final statement: Dont work here, not even if you just need some quick cash (just go lift boxes for Amazon if thats the case). About 90% of the negative things you will read in these reviews is absolutely true and the 5 star/4 star reviews I guarantee you are managers trying to pad the numbers. Again, I will say this one last time:DO NOT WORK HERE
Do not make this place your first or last option, not even out of desperation. I wish you peace, I pray you find something better.
Unprofessional sham of a company. Had one interview, took an assessment, a typing test and waited for 30 minutes in the lobby. Sent to a another interview, answered the questions satisfactorily, sent to wait for an hour and thirty minutes for the next interview, answered each question perfectly, sent to another manger to tour the inside of the call center, listened to another employee handle a customer call for 30 minutes, to see the experience. Sent to speak the senior manager for further questions.Told her that it seemed to be a fairly simple affair and that the line of work would hardly be an issue. Was given heavy implications that theyd hire me after the 3 hour plus interview. Had all the qualifications for the line of work, two degrees related to the tech field. Got told the next day via an email that I was denied the job. I went through 4 different interviews just for them to tell me they were not interested. Pathetic.Upper management at the company is incredibly incompetent, complete waste of 4 hours for a job I was overqualified for . Do not bother applying or associating with this joke of a company.
Looks like a good place to work
Terrible place to work. Stay away from this place
I work there so I gotta say its good or they will fire me. Haha just kidding 😬😥
Bad place to work so many passwords to remember and if you are ever sick with the flu and miss 3 days your fired
Easy to get in. Once training is finished, usaullay half of employees quit. Most of training modules have nothing to do with real calls/complaints. Paid time off and benefits are a joke, no paid holidays. High attrition and turnover, high call volume daily, and no job security. If customers complain about the client polices and procedures, and indicate you are not up to their high expecations since you are limited, you lose your job just for five customer surveys in 90 day duration. No real management support.
I had an excellent interview. I scored 100 percent. I was ready to take on the career. Any shift any days. Im bilingual. They declined me stating, Im over qualified. I need a job. The interviewer did not have graet experience. He was nervous and was stuttering. I made great eye contact. I will find a better career.
Beautiful place. Comfortable atmosphere. Went for job interview, even if I dont get it the people and place were nice
I had 2 interviews, was promised a training date far later than expected and was going to be emailed info before the training. I was never contacted back at all. I left emails, visited in person twice, and called SEVEN times to hiring directors. No response back at all. I would NOT recommend this company in any way as a career option. Alorica cant even notify people if theyve been hired or not & dont know how to pick up their phones considering theyre a call center!!!
If you NEED a job ok. if you want complete equality, recognition and opportunity keep looking.
I was really looking forward to a new place with what seemed like great pay and they had a hiring event and completely did not look at my resume and I am more than qualified to work there I do not feel like it was a good experience at all or a fair one.
The only clear part was signing up for the job. I arrived for my interview and was shuffled around for the better part of two hours before deciding I had enough. They are highly disorganized. If a company has a crappy hiring process, I imagine the job outlook is the same if not worse.
Greatest work environment Ive ever had.
The company alorica is a great place to work. Just gotta be mindful of which account you get on.
Job was fine but could not stand managers. Most did not know what they were doing. Most that was there when I was is gone though maybe its better place now.
Went to an interview, spoke with a couple of their reps who congratulated me on getting a technical support position. Two days later I receive an email saying I didn’t get the job. After emailing and calling for several hours still no word back. Just superbly unprofessional and a waste of time.
When i arrived for my interview woman said oh werent expecting anyone to come. Then I spent 50 mins for an interview. All 50 mins spent waiting in a lobby. Just for them to come and tell me they wont hire me. There was no interview. Literally called me in a room to tell me this. Horrible fist time meeting this company im not even mad about not getting the job its about professionalism and respect for peoples time.
Working here, some departments look like they dont know what they are doing. Most departments suffer from too many cheifs around the fire syndrome in management. Policies change without notice and because so rapid they dont send out company emails. People are friendly, and the work is easy, but due to tool availability and policies, its a challenge everyday.
This place is a scam please AVOID!!!
Dont hate but waited too long for interview. Theres, no bus out there either.
Was interviewed and told that someone would contact me either way by next day. Never received call one way or another. Feel that is very unprofessional for a company. If Im turned turn, Im a big boy, I can take it. Also was asked 5 very silly questions by the interviewer that really made no sense to me.
Very disorganized and unprofessional. They make you come in and wait to do assessments and things you could have done at home. It seems as though they were unprepared for the amount of people that actually came in for open interviews. I waited close to an hour just to do the assessment and waited even more to discuss test results. I felt bad for the people that were there before me and still managed to be there when I left.
I have been employed here for almost a year. The culture and vibe is amazing!
Applied for a job online and that was the only seamless part. Got to the location early and went through about 45 mins of waiting and another hour of additional forms and tests. I then took the tests again due to a system error. After I went for an interview and at the end was place in the VIP section according to the interviewer and waited another 45 mins to be told that all the managers were in a meeting and they would call me back to schedule to come fill out paperwork for hire. After I made 3 phone calls and 2 emails letting me know that I would be contacted back in response, its 3 weeks later and they couldnt even give me the courtesy of letting me know to piss off. After my experience and reading other comments I wouldnt recommend interaction of any kind with this company to anyone.
Quick spot for an inbetween. Dont look to start a career here.
Worked there over 15 months was told insurance after a year. Takes them 6 months to process and offer insurance. I left due to that and low wages.
I LOVED IT THERE BEFORE ALL THE CHANGES AND AMEX LEAVING. I WOULD HAVE STILL BEEN THERE IF IT WERENT FOR THE PETTY PEOPLE THAT WORK THERE. SO LONG ALORICA... MOVING ON TO BIGGER AND BETTER THINGS!
Absolute bait and switch. I applied for a trainer position ONLY for their Dell (IT helpdesk) department - they dont tell you its Dell until later. I was called for a phone rep position. When I advised them that I applied for a trainer position, the gentleman on the phone said Oh right, of course. I see youve taught at a college before. We spoke a bit and was provided a date, time, and subject matter to present (teach) Components of a desktop computer. I went in and prepared for my presentation. I brought my own laptop and the PowerPoint on a USB. They were completely unprepared. They didnt have the appropriate cables to connect to the projector nor a computer to plug my USB into. Luckily, I had plenty of handouts to provide everyone. There were about 5 people in the room evaluating but there was this one guy who just rubbed me the wrong way and kept asking the most ridiculous of questions. Now, I understand that customers ask unbelievable questions sometimes; Ive been in the field long enough to know. However, when will you have someone ask this? So, say Im stuck in an elevator and I want to MacGyver It and swap RAM in my laptop, how do I do it? Being that your given a certain amount of time to get through your presentation, how is it even possible to answer that appropriately? Is it a MacBook, because if it it, youre SOL depending if its an air or pro and the gen. What kind of RAM does it use? Standard DDR/2,3, or 4 (highly unlikely) or SODIMM? Also, how desperate are you that you want to MacGyver It in an elevator? If its because you didnt save a document prior to closing your laptop.....SOL! This guy asked if Apple used Intel or AMD. I think most people know its Intel, but what they dont know is that theres a caveat to this. What they think is an i7 really isnt a true i7, but again....pressed for time so cant quite explain it all. He asked about the BSOD and how his friend could fix it. He asked if mailing a replacement power supply, would you also mail the plug in cord. Seriously? Im not there with a multimeter to test the damn thing, so......ummmm.....Ya! How do I know the customers dog didnt chew through the cord? I wouldnt risk angering a customer over a few extra cents that it costs to mail the power cord too. Anyhow, I got through the presentation but was rushed through the end. This dude gets up and runs out like a bat outta hell. Just super rude. The others were very nice and told me that I knew my stuff. I go back to the recruiters office and he tells me its between some other person and myself. He then asked AGAIN if Id be willing to take the helpdesk (phone) job. I flat out refused. After a week, I was called by the recruiter and told that they went with the other person and wanted to offer me the helpdesk position (phone). I mustve told these people NO about a dozen times by now. I told him thank you for the offer but I will pass.
Horrible company to work for. They cancel contracts and doesnt even try to accommodate you at all. jose Torez is a ass whole, he acts like he cares but all they do is force you to another program noting like you were working, then they fire you. They should shut this place down.
The Worst Company I Have Ever Worked For...No benefits for a year...Very poor management...Get you excited with possibility of high commissions but when you reach that status they scrutinize your sales and find ways not to pay you...Very cheap and selfish company...Extremely high turnover because company is so terrible...The Worst Company I Have Ever Worked For
Ghetto and unprofessional company everyone walks around with there phones in hands, very loud rude and disrespectful. Your personal life needs to be left at home not at work
The talent recruiting team are very unprofessional and liars!!
Ill start by saying Ive got over ten years experience doing technical support. Ive worked much more challenging jobs than this from a technical aspect. Let me begin by saying there are some fundamental flaws with this companys approach to training (HMH account). The HMH account utilizes a bunch of different platforms (Think Central, Holt-McDougal online, etc. ).This is what makes their office look really silly: several weeks into training, I was called unexpectedly into Angelas office as if I was being called to the principals office. It became apparent that the trainer (Christina) was not really on my side at this point, even though she really hadnt had much to do with training the class...so essentially, she had nothing to back up me dozing off in class. Essentially, thats what I was being accused of. Either way, that was just complete bullshit...sleeping in class, yeah right. Im probably 20 years older than most of the people in this class. Meanwhile, Im watching the other kids ( and I do mean kids, not one of the people I encountered was anywhere near my level as far as life experiences, maturity, or intelligence) looking at their phones and surf the internet while the teacher was teaching. I was being accused of dozing off in class. Really? I guess thats there m.o. when they want to find an excuse for terminating someones employment there when they have a good reason. There was just no merit to it, thats the problem. With God as my witness. I was showing up there at the designated time, coming back from breaks and lunch on time, asking valid questions in class, etc. Thats when my suspicions really started being aroused. This job is about as lightweight as technical support gets, if you want to even call this job technical support. There is nothing difficult about the position at all...but what ruins this place is the idiots who are supposed to be encouraging the people they hire to continue working there, the people who are supposed to be looking out for employee retention so theyre not wasting Aloricas money. Its time that these people be outed and thats the purpose of this review. Im referring specifically to Christina (the trainer) and Angela (H.R. manager). The approach used to deliver the material raises a bunch of questions. This is where things come apart at the seams. Time after time, I witnessed the teacher not addressing questions I would ask fully or just shooing my questions away as if they were in a rush to move on to the next module. There were multiple times when more than one of us required individualized attention in clicking on links to get around the platform, etc. What inevitably would happen is the teacherwould bounce around the class with no rhyme or reason like a kid with ADHD on Riddlin. It just started getting more and more annoying annoying each time it happened. This place is not worth the time and trouble that it takes to get there on top of all this-seriously, $11.50/hr. after I show you Ive got over ten years experience doing this kind of work. Get real! Corporate office, if youre listening, management over at the Longwood, FL doesnt really care about employee retention, your clients, or your money!
I work here and its great!
The worst company to ever work for, I was fired, because I was going to sue for not paying me overtime, but they tried to cover it by firing me because I wouldnt move my seat and stay off, after I was clocked out, I never got in any problems before with the job no write ups nothing. In fried like that by Sara., nasty company, that cant keep contracts,. I like the job but new management Sara needs to go.
A great place to work great pay
I arrived first to appointment interview and two others arrived after my arrival and I was the last to be interviewed and the two femalesothers were seen before me 🤔
